He knows that specific area was meant to get addressed and was missed. (He DARED me to file a complaint w/ the BBB) They came out multiple times trying to sell me on a "drain over here," and a "new drain over there" and refused any input from what we suggested was the actual problem. Every attempt at selling me drains was met with his caveat of "I reserve the right to be wrong." To his own defense the owner Barry, claims "I haven't charged you for any of those visits" and then he lead into the issue that he is tired of me calling trying to get the work done that I actually paid for. As for our HVAC we have had considerable work done on it over the past year, and at every step Airstream was honest, professional, and transparent with their pricing while respecting our budget and time. After the 2026 winter storm, we found that the system had been taxed significantly and Airstream has worked with us over the past few months to get it back into tip-top shape for the summer heat. Each time the work has been done efficiently and with minimal interference in our daily activities and minimal stress on our our pets. The technician, Ryan S., diagnosed a failed condenser and advised that my R-22 unit was too old to repair with current Freon, recommending a complete replacement at an estimated cost of $10,000-$24,000. I requested a written report and photos so I could obtain a second opinion. The report stated that the condenser was not working and that I needed a new A/C, but no photos were provided. I ultimately had my regular A/C technician evaluate the unit. He replaced a faulty capacitor and added one pound of Freon for $180, and the A/C immediately returned to normal operation. One week later, I have had no issues. While Ryan was very courteous, the diagnosis and recommendation were significantly inaccurate. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not use Air Stream for future A/C service and will instead wait for my regular technician to become available.

My Experience with Air Now Heating and Cooling…read more I have an American Home Shield (AHS) home warranty, and Air Now Heating and Cooling was assigned as the service provider for my HVAC claim. On June 15, 2026, at 11:39 a.m., I received a text message stating that the technician, Riley, was on the way. At 12:04 p.m., I called Air Now's office and spoke with Ashley. During that call, I explained that I was driving home and would arrive within approximately 20-30 minutes. I also provided both the building access code and my condo access code so the technician could enter the property. According to the door access logs, Riley entered the building at 12:08 p.m. and opened my condo door at 12:09 p.m. I arrived home at 12:32 p.m., but neither Riley nor anyone else from Air Now was present. There were no service notes, paperwork, diagnostic reports, or any other indication that any work had been performed. The only change I observed was that my Nest thermostat had been turned on. Most importantly, my HVAC system remained inoperable and was still not cooling. Given the nature of the issue, it would not have been possible to properly diagnose and repair the problem in less than 30 minutes. I received no explanation of any findings, no repair summary, and no communication indicating that the service call had been completed. After discovering that the issue had not been resolved, I called Air Now Heating and Cooling's office four separate times that afternoon. No one answered, and I left four voicemails. None of my calls have been returned. Thankfully, AHS found another company to come out the next day and they diagnosed the issue and made the necessary repairs. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Air Now Heating and Cooling. If you have a home warranty and are given the option to choose another service provider, I would strongly suggest requesting a different company.
