Quick service repair on the lovely aquamarine and white diamond ring I bought my fiancé. Not the friendliest Service but quick.

I really enjoyed my experience with Claire today. I was looking for a new chain for my husband's pendant necklace for our anniversary. I was greeted before the door closed behind me. I don't know why I feel like because of how I look (young and tattooed) that no one would take me seriously or care about my small purchase, but I felt like I wasn't judged at all, I wasn't pressured into making bigger purchases, I was shown many options. She moved the pendant from the old chain to the new one, and polished it for me, along with my own wedding ring, which was a nice bonus. She boxed it up in a nice case and she was very nice and personable. I was in and out in maybe 15 minutes. I would definitely bring my business here again. read more

I ordered my husbands wedding band here originally, had multiple problems with sizing & ordering, the communication between associates was awkward/unprofessional, and while i was checking out the associate managed to tell me that covid was almost non existent in texas..."its all hype"... im a nurse here in kc. eventually went to the location on the plaza to exchange the ring for the 3rd time and FINALLY got it right. read more

Extremely unprofessional staff at this location. Assistant Manager Ashley Hoch acted extremely unprofessional when I simply needed an engagement ring resized. I purchased this engagement ring from the Joliet, IL Helzberg store. She wouldn't allow the documentation to reflect the actual value of the ring, and then proceeded to give me the run around about having the ring resized. Two weeks to simply resize a ring?? Then the jeweler finally came to resize the ring and acted like we were inconveniencing him. I would absolutely not recommend anyone do business at this Helzberg Diamonds location. My boyfriend bought me a ring for my birthday (not THE ring, just A ring) and this is where we chose to get it. The people at Helzberg were very helpful without being overly helpful, which I find that some commission-based stores can be. A woman named Birdie helped us and she was great. She got a feel for my style pretty quickly and selected several gorgeous rings she thought I would like. Of course this made my choice more difficult, but that's beside the point. :) I had to have the ring sized since I have big fat fingers, and in order to get it sized I had to buy insurance for the ring. I thought that was kinda crap at first, but it does cover getting it sized when you need it along with being cleaned regularly and replacing diamonds if you happen to lose one. It was only about $30, so I can't complain too much. My ring was in after about two weeks and I love it. Hopefully I'll be back here shopping for THE ring soon! read more

I went in and met with Andy Simms and believed everything I was told - namely, that if my spouse didn't like the ring and setting I had purchased, they would refund me in full. In short, nothing could have been further from the truth - but they did offer to put me in touch with a "reputable diamond consignment store." Thank goodness for that! I'll never step foot back in their establishment and anyone thinking of purchasing a ring should consider another store. Very bad taste in my mouth, still. read more

My husband took me here to upgrade my diamond ring for our 30th wedding anniversary. We were welcomed and promptly helped with finding what we wanted. Everyone was very nice and we didn't feel pressured into buying what we couldn't afford. We told them what we wanted to spend and ended up going over budget a bit, but that was my fault! Obviously, no guy looks forward to buying an engagement ring (hope wife doesn't read this review!). But seriously, buying "the rock" is a daunting task. Luckily for me, Helzberg was great. Super easy to deal with, great inventory, and I know they'll be around a long time (Warren Buffett owned). The staff was all great, although most of my interaction was with Susie who was absolutely wonderful. I am glad that I bought the ring here and would definitely recommend to a friend. Our recent experience here was terrible, which was disappointing since we bought our wedding bands at Helzberg and really liked them! We had received two coupons in the mail for $25 off $25, good until Valentines Day. When we went into this location, a man approached us as soon as we walked in the door and we explained that we had a coupon (and showed it to him) and asked what there was available around this price. He just laughed at us and said that they don't have anything in the store for $25, so I said that it doesn't have to be $25 but could be a little more. Knowing full well that they do sell cheaper jewelry for less than $50 since we've bought stuff there before between $25-50, we thought we'd take a look at what they do have. I said that I was interested in some earrings that were part of a set with a neckalce that I had gotten and he assured me that they didn't have anything cheaper than the $95 earrings he led us to. I knew that the matching earrings were around $30 because that's what they told me at another location a few weeks ago, but this guy claimed they didn't have jewelry like this under $95. Then he eventually led us to a few necklaces and earrings for like $60 (I thought they didn't have anything cheaper than $95!!??) So we declined and left, and as we were leaving, we saw a little kiosk with jewelry for $49 with a big red sign on it. At that point, I didn't trust anyone in there anymore so I didn't even inquire about this collection. The best part is, we were able to use the coupon on a $30 piece of jewelry, just as we suspected, at another location, no problem. This ruined my experience with Helzberg. The customer service is terrible. Today i was treated like a child and the man helping me walked away to talk to his coworkers and laugh with them multiple times. I had to get his attention numerous times just to see different styles of rings. I will not be coming back if i need any more assistance and i definitely think they need to learn customer service. If you want real help or actual assistance don't come here. We ended up leaving as he was talking to his co workers and he didn't even notice. Very disappointing. read more

My husband bought me a new wedding ring for our 20 year anniversary. I love the ring however with in the first 6 months of owning it a stone fall out. My husband did not purchase the extended warranty because he was told, when the ring was sold to him, that it had a lifetime warranty on any stones that falls out. When we took the ring up to the store to have it fixed it was like pulling teeth to get the lady to help us. Finally the manager gave her permission to get the ring fixed. Now fast forward about 6 months after I have the ring fixed I notice another stone that has fallen out. Life is hectic and I have been procrastinating to get that stone replaced so it has been approximately two months since I noticed it. However, last week I noticed two more stones have fallen out of my ring. This is a total of four stones in a year and a half of owning this $3500 ring! Now I'm mad and frustrated and done procrastinating! I go to have it fixed with my receipt for proof of purchase. I am told the ring does have a lifetime warranty but since I haven't had my ring "inspected" in almost a year it is no longer under warranty. I am so upset and angry that my husband got ripped off. He was never told that we had to come to the store every 6 months to have the ring inspected to keep it under warranty. Which lets be honest is just a sales pitch to get you in the store twice a year to buy something! I don't know how much it is going to be to get it repaired because I refuse to have Helzberg ever touch my ring again. I don't trust them anymore which is a shame because I have been buying jewelry at this store for years. The craftsmanship of their jewelry is terrible and their lifetime warranty they promise is a scam! read more

The WORST customer service ever experienced. We were looking at engagement rings and made a comment on one that it seemed pricey for the size/style compared to others. Rather than receive an explanation we were told "yeah well, we've been in business for 102 years for a reason and it's not for ripping people off." Completely rude to the point that we walked out. Dealt with Helzberg for 45 years- made 30 purchases but never again. Quality and Service both unacceptable Legends Store Manager even told me "they didn't follow Warranty because they were an outlet store". I purchased 4 bracelets late last year, continually have clasp problems, my wife went to put one on (diamond and sapphire) and a piece fell on the floor. Given the number of bracelets she has I doubt that it's been warn over a dozen times but the 12 month warranty even excludes normal wear. I paid for the repair but will never return to any Helzberg store and employees in several stores know me when I walk in the door. Too bad that $45 repair will cost them a loyal custoomer read more

Service is terrible and unprofessional. I took my wedding ring in to have it resized as well as have the prongs straightened and tightened. The associate that took in my ring was incompetent. She had problems finding the care plan even though we had our card with all the information. She proceeded to "test the diamond," asking if I had had it in for service recently because she could not get a reading. The stone in my ring is not a diamond, nor has it ever been. Shouldn't a jewelry associate know the difference? When I was notified the ring was complete, I went in only to find that it HAD been resized, but the prongs HAD NOT been touched. Who returns a jewelry repair to the customer with crooked prongs and a loose stone as COMPLETE? They asked if I wanted to leave it with them to be completed or wait six months to my next available adjustment per my lifetime care plan. RUDE and unprofessional when YOUR COMPANY is responsible for this inconvenience! The jeweler was on vacation. I took it home and returned when the jewelry came back from vacation. The same associate had the same issues trying to find me in their system knowing full well I would be in that day to drop off the ring they FAILED to complete. My ring was not completed for 3 weeks from the date I took it in originally. Do not use this location. DISGUSTED. I'd give it ZERO STARS if I could! read more
