My washer stopped working and prior to that gave me nothing but problems with stopping before spin cycle complete. I called this company based on some of the reviews that I read. The tech. Emilio and Isaac arrived and within a very short time actually showed me what the problem I was dealing with. The honesty and clarity shown me was enough to know that a repair was not worth it for this machine. I was happy to pay the service call fee and call it a day for this machine once and for all. This family owned company is like a concierge appliance repair service at half the cost. My washing machine had issues with its computer innards (wouldn't complete any wash cycle, stuck in rinse loop). I first called the manufacturer service but they were exorbitant $$ just to come out (the "you're too far in Antelope Valley " symptom) and the repair estimate was costly for a machine out of warranty. I called HEM based on Yelp reviews and they are AMAZING. Cost to come out/diagnostics is reasonable and applied to cost of repair if you have them repair. First replaced the shock absorbers which fixed the uneven spin. But still had the issue with the rinse loop. They came back out and replaced one motherboard but that didn't fix issue. They came out ASAP to swap out with a different motherboard in another area of machine (silly me, I thought there was only one motherboard!). That fixed the issue. I was very impressed with how they calmly tracked down the computer issue until the machine was fixed. I am impressed that they communicate with text at all hours if needed. They accommodated our schedule and our animals. I love that their outgoing message is bilingual. I am thrilled to know they handle all appliances plus air conditioning units. Their magnet business card is on our refrigerator so we know who to call. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

I have not been this happy for an appliance repair company, ever! After going back-and-forth with my home warranty and L.A. appliance being the only company offered me in the area (they are horrible) my husband found this company online. He called and said the girl who answered was very professional and friendly. They were able to come same day and if they do the repair for you they will not charge you for the $35 (VERY REASONABLE) inspection to see what's going on. We needed a new thermostat for our gas dryer and the tech whom was also very professional and friendly had the part we needed with him and was able to get it fixed right away. The price was very very reasonable. AND they gave us a one year parts and labor warranty which is unheard of! We HIGHLY recommend this company! read more

I had looked all over as my problem was rare. My microwave went nuts, kept going even if the door is opened. It was heating like a heater. I got scared and just unplugged the the dang thing. I called HEM as they were the only ones that I could find that repaired microwaves. I was unsure as when I find only one company, I'm essentially at their mercy. Emilio came out, plugged the microwave in, turned it on and wham - it worked perfectly. I have a car that does the same thing. Strange noises, when I take it in, it runs perfectly. I told Emilio I have a problem with my stove in that none of the burners will ignite. He said he would look at it. The pipes were clogged, he cleaned them out and wham - all the burners worked. I decided to press my luck since Emilio came out just for the microwave. I told him I couldn't get the filter into my frig and the ice maker stopped working. It was too expensive to fix the ice maker but he not only fixed where the filter went in but he asked for a vacuum cleaner and cleaned the front and under the frig. I kept asking if he was going to get in trouble for fixing all the extras and he said no. I even offered to call HEM and let them know I hijacked their tech and he said it was fine. He did all this work for the "deposit" free and Emilio was as nice as could be. I definitely would use them again. read more

This is an honest company. They could of easily taken advantage, but were actually very helpful. The tech that came out was so professional and courteous. He diagnosed the problem quickly on my refrigerator. He told me that the repair and labor is going to be costly, but suggested i reach out to the manufacture to see if the parts/labor would be covered. The compressor is covered for 10yrs per tech, would have never known. As for the labor which was going to be approx $600 was also covered by manufacture. With this information and the fact that he diagnosed i did save some time and avoided for the manufacture to come and diagnose. He waited till i finished with the manufacture to assure services were going to be covered. What an HONEST company. I will keep then on file for my next repair. Highly recommend. read more

Our oven top smelled like it had a gas leak. We called the gas company and they confirmed. We called HEM to look at it. Their way of determining if we had a gas leak was by using a lighter to look for the leak. They told us there was nothing wrong and they couldn't do anything for us but we were charged the $75 service fee to come out. We called another company to come out. They used a meter to determine the exact area of leak and gave us a quote to repair the oven and much less than HEM. read more

When I called and left a message, I had a prompt return phone call. Very nice lady offered me a service call the same day. I asked for it to the next Tuesday. Call back later and she was more than gracious to reschedule me for today the same day. The technician arrived very prompt, his name is Emilio, very very very knowledgeable very helpful very courteous and very respectful very kind. Diagnosed my washer and my dryer very promptly. Explained everything thoroughly to me. And fixed my dryer the same day. So far my washing machine had no error codes on it, and after a Very thorough diagnostic service on it, Emilio did not find any problems. I feel that this was extremely honest, because most places would find something wrong with an appliance just take your money. So all in all I feel that this appliance repair shop is overall honest, gracious, courteous, thorough, knowledgeable, respectful and overall a great place to go so glad I found it and so glad I read the reviews on yelp.
