I ordered the greens, yams, and lemon pepper penne pasta with chicken. Greens: 4/5 Great flavor with a little kick. My only complaint was the number of stems. Lemon pepper penne: 3/5 The lemon pepper flavor was a little too subtle for me. It tasted more like Alfredo, and the sauce was thinner and more watery than I prefer. Yams: 5/5 The star of the show. Sweet, flavorful, and the consistency was perfect. Everybody at the table ended up ordering their own yams because nobody wanted to share. Of course, I also sampled everybody else's food. Mac and cheese: 5/5 Cheesy, creamy, flavorful, and served piping hot. No complaints. Creamy penne pasta: 5/5 I honestly wish I had ordered this instead. The house-made cream sauce with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and Parmesan was so good. They ran out of chicken breast for my order, but the way they handled it was above and beyond. They comped me and made me an entire meal to take home. That is what customer service is supposed to look like. The restaurant is quaint, so I highly recommend making a reservation, especially on the weekend. I had to email to reserve because I did not get an answer when I called. The space could use a little sprucing up, but the food and service easily outweigh the lack of decor. The owners were incredibly sweet, the food was made with care, and I will absolutely be back.
