While waiting, we had some excellent draft beer. If you find that you're craving something more exciting than the usual suspects, this is one of the great Galveston places to be. Sure there's Bud and Bud Light to be had, but DON'T. Give your taste BUDS a thrill and get a brew from their generous list of suds. It was a wait for the crawfish, but patience is a virtue that definitely paid off for us. This was Vudoo Viet-Cajun rather than traditional, and I think it was the perfect first choice for the season - with just enough spice, just enough citrus, and decently sized mud bugs, our three pounds practically put us in a swoon. Beerfoot serves crawfish at 2:00 on Sundays throughout the season, excluding Mother's day, and my advice is to get there around 1:00, find your table, get a beer, and prepare for some very good eats!

Not the manufactured kind that gets focus-grouped into a brewery template. It feels lived-in and warm, and we got greeted like regulars from the minute we walked in. We had our minds made up on drinks until the bartender offered us samples of a few signature pours. That changed our order entirely. Both of us ended up with something we wouldn't have picked on our own, and both were better than what we'd planned to get. Food was great. Service was sharper than I expected for a brewery. Everyone we interacted with felt like they actually wanted us there. If you're passing through Galveston, stop in. Easiest recommendation I've made in a while.

It was somewhat bland/underseasoned save for the large chunks of pepper. The cocktail sauce was certainly different which I do like, but it had a Smokey barbecue flavor to it that just didn't pair well for us. Fries were a tad bit soft for our liking as well and also slightly under-seasoned. They had live music there which adds to the charm of the place I think (it was solo guitarist/vocalist) and it did just seem to work on this night after a fun parade it was a great place to get a meal and lounge around with some music and drinks. Fixable food items so giving the place a decent rating but think there's room for improvement.
