Brown ale? Asked the bartender and she hit it!

Great beer. Great service. Cool spot! You can order food from across the street. Will be back!

Brew. They have two types of it.

Every time here has been a pleasure. Dog friendly. Feel free to bring your food in to have at the brewery. It looks more like a restaurant than a brewery. Clean bathrooms.

Great spot for laid back and comfortable beer-sipping good times. All different types of areas to sit in and you can order food from Coastal Grill across the street. This was my second time here and both times, the service has been fantastic. They're all so relaxed and happy to help you find exactly what your tastebuds need. The beer is good too! Not my favourite around but still definitely tasty enough to stop in for a flight or pint.

The Naked Iguana is such a great place to hang out and have a fantastic beer. They have a wide selection so even if you don't like beer there are some awesome seltzer selections. We can't wait to try their other beers.

I came in on a Tuesday night at 6:30pm. There's a few parking spots in front, else it's parallel parking along the street. I was provided quick service by Christine. I got two flights which is around $12-$14 per flight. I really enjoyed the Cien (Stout) and Bad Memory. It's a pretty cool place with merch and alcoholic desserts. You can enjoy your beer with popcorn or food from the Coastal Grill across the street.

This is one of the newest drinking spots on the Strand and if you're a fan of good craft beer, this should be one of your destination points. As someone who's worked in the craft beer business for 30 years, I can tell you these craft beers are actually on point. Their IPAs are solid, their Scottish ale was good and their brown ale is one of the best I've ever had. I do recommend starting out with a flight of four of their beers for just a mere $10. If you're not in to beer, they do have a significant wine list as well which is fairly affordable. As for the interior of the place, there are 20 seats at the bar, three 8 top tables, five booths and two cozy corners. There are also 5 flats screens, a popcorn machine, a dartboard, and a shuffleboard. It does have a clean industrial modern feel to it, but it does have two intimate corners for families or friends. They also have a table in the back where you can choose from a number of boardgames to play. The only downside to this place is that parking can be problematic, especially during tourist season and they do not serve food of any kind. They remedy the food situation by having a menu from a restaurant called Coastal Grill which is directly across the street and they will gladly deliver to the bar. And before I forget, the place is dog friendly and you won't be hit with the tip screen when they run your card.

Great new addition to the downtown Galveston Strand district. Super friendly folks behind the bar serving up ice cold amazing beer and seltzers brewed locally right here in GTX. Beer is great, and the food delivery from the place right across the street is an awesome convenience also. Definitely going to be one of my go to spots in Galveston. Cheers

The best folks on the island! We frequent often. I even got a NIB Hazy IPA at Vide Agave restaurant. Both places are awesome!!!!

This brewery is awesome! Love all the lite beers they have. And they are pet friendly which is great for our baby Athena. And they have popcorn for anyone to grab!!! Me and my husband's favorite beer is probably the Battleship Texas Blonde Ale.

I always appreciate when staff is excited about specific plates. The trip was dynamite. The sauce was TOO GOOD. Like, we wanted to drink what was left. 5 stars just for that. My wife loved the oysters. The lobster roll had quite a bit of lobster in it. Super buttery and filling. Solid fries. This was a very pleasant stop on our trip.

Our lunch was absolutely delicious. Here's the rundown: 1 appetizer of ahi tuna won-ton, 2 raw oyster samplers, 2 Galveston Island Brewing blondes, 1 dirty gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, and one to-go bottle of Cat Five hot sauce. I am not a huge fan of tuna, but this ahi/poke style of tuna with actual umami flavor elevates a mild sushi gateway fish to something yummy. The oysters were a delight. Shucks has a color coded system in place to help you identify which oysters are which, but my tired old eyes can't seem to make their system work. I did have two favorite kinds but could not tell you what they were. No matter, they were all superior - and small like east coast/ Canadian bivalves are. Dan's beer was tasty and swillable and my martini was appropriately dirty. We got the hot sauce because you can never have enough condiments and cats were referenced in its name. Our server was friendly and efficient. Interesting to me, I was mildly making fun of their music selection and soon after it changed. Coincidence? Dunno, but I appreciated the change to Motown! Bottom line. So, so enjoyable and something we don't do too often these days. It was an expensive meal, but worth the splurge.

The restaurant is small and intimate, with a nice-sized bar near the entrance that makes for a great place to enjoy a drink before dinner. One tip: be sure to pay attention to the dress code. We saw guests turned away for not meeting it, so it's definitely enforced. The service was absolutely spectacular. Everything was perfectly synchronized--from the drinks arriving and set on the table together, to each course being served in unison, to the timely clearing of plates. It's the kind of attentive, polished service that has become increasingly rare. We started with the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, followed by the empanadas. They were all good, although the shrimp empanada wasn't my favorite. For our entrées, we had the salmon, the filet, and the lamb chops. The salmon was perfectly prepared, the filet was so tender it practically melted in your mouth, and the lamb chops were some of the best my husband has ever had. With exceptional service, outstanding food, and an elegant atmosphere, Rudy & Paco's absolutely lived up to its reputation. We'll definitely be back. We were there for our 27th wedding anniversary and were pampered by the staff all evening! The cuisine is Nicaraguan-inspired seafood and proteins, which I was not familiar with at all, but everything we had was delicious. The meal begins with fried crispy plantains with two different dipping sauces that are heavenly. We chose the empanadas for our appetizers, then I had the sea scallops while my husband ordered a seafood pasta dish. The restaurant is quiet and elegant, but not at all stuffy. They treated us to cake at the end, which is the only thing I got a picture of (sorry!!) but I so recommend this restaurant!!
