So I asked them to step out and then I changed. While waxing they were missing a lot of spots on arms and I had to keep pointing it to them. I could tell that the girls were getting irritated by that. They were also double dipping which I did not like. After waxing they did not clean my hands with cold water and instead just applied baby oil. I again had to ask the ladies to leave so I can change. By then I was absolutely irritated and just wanted to leave. I paid and left. On my way back home my arms started to itch and I saw there were bumps all over my arms. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed for years until my dermatologist said it was bad for my acne so she recommended I try threading. I have not turned my back on them ever since. You can't beat the price for sure! $7!! Really like the fact that they have about 5 - 7 ladies waiting for walk ins, no appointment needed. HORRIBLE experience! This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded in this location and I kindly explained that to my threader (as I am VERY particular about how my eyebrows are done). I asked her to just start off by cleaning them up and after we could discuss the shape. As soon as she showed me her version of just "cleaning up" I knew that I would never come back here again. Not only did she make my eyebrows super thin but she shaped them in a way that's completely unnatural. So disappointed. Used to go here all the time to get my eyebrows threaded but stopped because it got to be quite the drive. Anyhow, usually there isn't a wait unless you come on a Saturday. I used to only get my eyebrows done by Maya because she would keep them full but shape them nicely. I had a few bad experiences with people here (although I must say A LOT more good than bad) so when I walked in I just had to ask for Maya and I would wait for her (you can't go by appointment but you can call to see if she's working that day). The price for that area is good and the place itself is very clean and they have ample room for waiting (comfortable too!). They have a $10 minimum for cards (I think it was 10?) and threading is $7 so they might give you a hard time for that--just a heads up. Overall very nice staff in a nice facility with great pricing. There's nowhere else I would go for getting my eyebrows done. The employees here are professional and do a great job! This place is great value for money and is always neat and clean. I am a male and often get other facial hair and hair in ears too which I often get threaded or waxed at this place. They always clean it up after the job and also apply lotion to soothe and finish. My wife is also a fan of this place and often visits for her make-up, facial, waxing and threading needs. Very rude and unprofessional workers. First day I go and they lied to me telling me that they don't have time even though there was only 1 other person there and my haircut would take very short. Super unprofessional and rude! A friend of mine and I went to just get our upper lips threaded. The woman who did mine missed some hairs so I let her know and she fixed it instantly no problem. Then as we're paying I was looking at my friends upper lip and she had a lot of hair still left. Mind you we are paying for the service not like it's free! So I let the lady know who did hers if she can just take a look and just get rid of the few hairs please. She then starts huffing and puffing saying the hairs are too small to take out when they clearly were not! I am extremely picky when it comes to my eyebrows and I am always scared to try new places/people. Some people who claim they can thread are terrible so I came here a little nervous, even after a rave recommendation from a friend. The salon itself is very clean and I was impressed with the amount of people they have working there, it's like a machine! I was immediately seen after going in and the lady that did my eyebrows was so quick and talented, it was practically painless! She did my eyebrows in probably under 5 minutes. She did a phenomenal job and i was so happy with the results, she cleaned them so well and gave them a great shape, it was one of the best eyebrow threadings i've had I would have to say. I highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a place to thread your eyebrows. I wish I got the name of the lady that did my eyebrows so i can ask for her next time but they all seemed like they knew what they were doing. Been here three times for my eyebrows and loved it! Unfortunately the stylist I went to for a trim doesn't know what he is doing at all! Cut off about 8 inches, uneven might I add, and chopped the front extra short and when I reacted and said "no" his response was "You're welcome" I know it's an eyebrow place but I tried killing two birds with one stone and it was a huge mistake! Unfortunately this review is specific to one person: Maia, Mya, Maya, however you spell her name. do NOT get your brows threaded by her. I went in to get my stray brow hairs removed/ cleaned up and trimmed (not thinned) and 1) she did a poor cleaning job, I had to tell her twice that she missed some hairs, and 2) she removed a chunk of my main brow. When I pointed this out to her she had the audacity to tell me that I walked in with my brow already like that. Btch please. I will never go back to this place again! They are extremely rude they had me waiting to get serviced when there was no one in the shop and when it was my turn to get service they rushed me. They rushed my service when another appointment came in and glued my top lash to the bottom lash and it is extremely painful. 've been going to Henna now for about 5 years and each time that I've had a service done, I've left a very happy customer. I get my eyebrows and upper lip threading done by Vijay or Shilpa. The cost for both is $10...which in this area, can't be beat. Ridgewood/mall cahrges $25 or more. Vijay, I think is also the owner, she is very friendly and takes her time to ensure that you leave her chair looking fabulous. I also get waxing done here, they are SUPER quick. All of the girls are great with waxing..I also get just cleaning facial which is 25 mins and awesome. They take black heads out and massage. You cannot beat the price for the super express facial. Went in for a full leg wax today. I recently moved up here so I've been looking for a new salon, this one is definitely not the one you want to choose. They missed so many random patches of hair, there were 2 ladies in their each doing a leg so they could make it faster, you'd think they would get every spot but they just gossiped the whole time. One of them said some hair was missed because it was too thin which is bullshit. I've been getting my hair waxed for 5 years and that's not an excuse. I went home and used my little wax pot to wax the hairs they missed myself and it all came off in one try. Paid 30 dollars for "professionals" what a waste. If I can wax it off then they have no excuse, but when you're just trying to rush your customers and gossip that's what's gonna happen.
