Lastly, we called before leaving home to make sure that if we purchased the car we could take it home. We were told they did not have the title, but that if we purchased the car we could take it and they would mail the title. Soooo.... we made the long trip only to find out the car had 10,000 more mile than listed, had damage AND..... we could NOT take the car like they said over the phone. We would have to make a second trip to get the car whenever the received the title. I was upset, but said for our time, trouble and misrepresentation of the car that I felt they could reduce the price by $400. I was told they would get back to me the next day. It's been 48 hours and nothing. Hopefully, someone else can learn from our experience.

My experience with Cragg Motors in Belton, MO, was one of those times. Ken Cragg and his wife Kim, the only two employees, treat you like old friends the moment you meet them. There's no pretense, no "car dealer b.s." that everyone hates. Just two hardworking people who do everything themselves. My tradein was pretty rough (albeit with fairly low miles), but I got a very fair price for it. And the fixed, no-hassle price of the Ford Transit I bought, was wonderful. Absolutely none of the pressure tactics, none of the "I'll talk to my manager" crap. Ken knows the fair price of the vehicle, so that he makes a little money and you still get a great deal. THIS is how car dealing should be. As I told both of them, I've never felt more comfortable giving a check to someone for a car. It felt like I was dealing with old friends, instead of two folks I just met. After we agreed on everything and I came back with a cashier's check, I was in and out in 40 minutes! I left a voicemail and email regarding interest in the car. I have continued to check online to see if it was still available and it's maintained an available status online. I finally called again to set an appt to view the car. Their google number for the business isn't even in operation. So you have to go in on the website to find the "sales" number. Then to find out they had sold it over a month ago. But never took the listing down. It's not worth the back and forth honestly. I'd recommend they fix a lot they going to lose a lot of customers from laziness. I do not have a vehicle and so online in the main way i browse before going to inspect a vehicle.
