Originally, last May, we wanted the side driveways and a concrete slab to put our Tuff Shed on in the backyard, but within a week, we knew Innovative Concrete Solutions would also do high quality work on the patio portion that we wanted stamped and colored, so we added that to the backyard project. The owner Ramon designed a color for me after I showed him pictures of the shade of terra cotta I was going for. I received so many compliments on the unique color of my patio concrete from friends, family and neighbors. He can work a color to your preference, he has colors ready or you can come up with your own like I did. My husband and I were super pleased with the entire look of the two sides and back yard! Four months later in Oct, we were ready to put a couple of concrete walkways in the front yard. Again, I had specific designs chosen for stamping and colors and Ramon delivered again on another unique design and color impression sample that satisfied the look I was going for. For the price he was charging me for the two walkways, it was indeed worth what I got in return. The work done was professional and high level. We were beyond happy with the vibe and look created. THEN UNEXPECTEDLY, the ground below the main walkway started uprising within a month of the completed walk way work. My husband called Christian, and both Ramon and Christian came by within minutes and ensured us they would redo the concrete edge so the sidewalk and walkway would be seamless again. Not that any of this uprising was their fault and yet Ramon didn't want to charge us for any of the work he did today to get the concrete even with the sidewalk again. To begin, contractor, John Fruin met us to provide one of two bids for our project. He was the second we interviewed. Despite our plans to go with the first bid, he quickly won us over with his level of expertise and easy, no-pressure demeanor. He had clever ideas we had never considered. Long story short- he won us ten times over! And, the bid was dramatically lower than the other. Dramatically! We also loved the payment plan with no interest! Now... about the crew! AMAZING group of such dedicated, hard-working young, strong men we have ever seen! Our project was estimated at a little less than 2 weeks. And, guess what? It took 3 1/2 days!!! Unbelievable! The crew under foreman, Ulises worked so diligently and with such attention to detail. They arrived promptly early AM and left just before 6 PM. They impressed us and the neighbors in their last hour of work, power washing the project before their return the next day which included the street. Clean-up was quite impressive! Part one of a two part foundation project Recently we had…read moreour house foundation repaired by Groundworks out of Fairfield. One bedroom had sunk by almost 5 inches as that part of the house had been built on fill. In order to restore the house to it's proper level numerous foundation jacks and floor leveling screw jacks were required. In addition some landscaping bushes and pvc sprinkler pipes had to temporarily removed. Groundworks had informed me prior to starting work what would be required to successfully complete this project and had my full approval. The house is now level, the doors no longer swing on their own and the interior cracks between the walls and ceiling joints no longer exist. Prior to the crew leaving the yard was cleaned up and the pvc pipes replaced. Best of all Groundworks will come back annually to the next 5 years and make any necessary adjustments. The Groundworks crew that made this happen was Andrew, the site supervisor, Charlie and Allen. Their performance and daily communication was superior on all levels. This is part 2. The Groundworks Poly crew of Anthony & Brian were very fast and efficient in completing their part of the foundation repair contract which was to level our family room slab floor. Fast, yes, but Anthony did take the time to not only explain what they were going to do but also walked me through the process as they were working. I have no problem in recommending them & Groundworks to other home owners who need to have their foundation repaired.

I hired Groundworks to repair the cracks around my in ground pool. So I thought I would have it repaired for beautification purposes. Brian the representative that came out is a fast talker and didn't explain the process of what Groundworks would and could do to improve the cracking of the concrete floor! I certainly thought that after paying $4000.00+ dollars I would be able to see a difference in the concrete. I didn't see no difference other than some lifting on the crack by the steps of the pool. Another problem I have is their is overspray of the polymer on my privacy fence. I know it is from the polymer because it is where they sprayed by the steps and diving board. I'm certainly not happy with the outcome.The crew that came were here approximately 1 hour 33 minute. I had Justin quote on replacing two saplings with a…read moredwarf blood orange and a dwarf fuji apple, sealing the fences, and taking my small narrow side yard and laying in a walkway for garbage can access with a narrow planting bed for future passion fruit vines. Justin made some suggestions, and his crew executed perfectly We went with concrete for easier and safer access, benderboard instead of blocks because of the narrow yard. Simple, cleanly done, bed is edged to contain the soil, trees are well seated and fertilized, irrigation updated for the new plantings, weed cloth under the gravel. Concrete has a nice brushed finish for traction in the wet, tree is staked, can't wait to see them bloom. It's the nice little details that make a quality job. Every day the site was cleaned as if they hadn't been there, they worked quickly and carefully even in the narrow areas. I'm very happy with the job and execution, and highly recommend them.

TLDR; My project suffered from poor planning, inadequate oversight, and unacceptable workmanship. It took me over a year to emotionally recover from the trauma of working with this business as a first major renovation project. --- Long story below As a first major home improvement project (front yard and driveway remodel), I hired a separate professional designer, had 3D renderings made, selected materials in advance, and clearly communicated the desired aesthetic and expected quality to all bidding contractors. Justin's Professional Landscaping had strong early reviews and was responsive at first. I agreed to a contract requiring over 25% upfront payment (which I now regret). Key issues I experienced: - Repeated requests for payment before corresponding work was completed - An uncomfortable incident where the foreman (Justin's father) came to my home on an off-day claiming he hadn't been paid, despite my having already paid Justin. - Poor daily cleanup, resulting in my HOA issuing a notice - Minimal on-site supervision by Justin - Workmanship issues (photos available), including: A unleveled wall that started leaning forward shortly after installation, uneven capstones and a section creating a tripping hazard, poorly graded and uneven pavers, joint sand not installed promptly, and walkway that was not correctly aligned with my front door. By the time these issues surfaced, I had paid about 90% of the project cost, yet the work was incomplete and did not meet reasonable expectations. A revised scope was attempted for the wall only (against my better judgment), but supervision and execution problems continued. After observing additional mistakes, poor practices and lack of control over the crew, I terminated the contract.

Fast forward almost two years later, it has gotten worse. I'm very disappointed as we were very nice and accommodating with them and even provided food and beverages while it was hot outside. We got a few different quotes and they were all within the same price range but with the good reviews this team had I thought it was the best choice. WRONG! They also said they can come back and re pour an also to fix a couple other things and we followed up twice and they never showed up.
