So...we had a back yard tree that had a trunk that leaned out over the neighbor's low iron fence. If it ever fell, it would take out that iron fence that was owned by the neighbor. It would be my responsibility to pay for her fence as well as remove the fallen tree. The more I looked at it, the more anxious I got. When the wind kicks up, it can come whistling through the back yard and puts a lot of stress on everything. Yelp Reviews: I decided to go with the tree service that had all 5 Star reviews. Duane came over and had a look and decided it should be removed and gave me a quote. Removal Day: About a week later the crew showed up at 7am and went to work. Duane was there to supervise. Before I knew it the tree was down, cut to pieces and out of sight. This sort of tree had a reputation for being hard to kill. So they spent quite some time grinding the stump to prevent regrowth. The area was cleaned, and there was no sign of a tree ever having been there. So I agree with the other reviews. 5 Stars. While the crew was cleaning up, Duane spent some time with me and looked at a couple of other trees that I was worried about. We have used Henrie Tree Service twice in the past 6 weeks and have been incredibly impressed with the service and quality. We needed two of our older trees trimmed, which hadn't been done in 14 years. Not only did they do a quick job but they were very diligent in cleaning up the whole front yard afterwards. They even put rocks back instead of picking them up with the debris and throwing them away. When we noticed one of our large pine trees in our backyard was dead, we called on Henrie Tree Service again. They came out for a quote and the team, lead by Austin, was out the next week. I would give them 10 stars if we could! Our two mesquite trees in the front yard had not been properly trimmed in years. Duane came out and gave us a fair price for the job to be done. On the morning of the appointment, his team was out at the house exactly on time. They climbed up into the 25' tall trees and thinned and pruned for hours. I've used Henrie Tree Service in the past to trim a large ash tree in front of my house. My most recent experience was last week when Duane and his crew showed up to trim the tree once again. I cannot describe how pleased I am with the job that they did and the professionalism displayed by all those involved. I got my estimate in October 2020 but Duane explained that the tree must be void of leaves for numerous reasons. I set up an appointment for February 2021 and they completed the job. I looked on yelp found good reviews for Henri Tree Service and gave them a call, boy sure glad I did because these guys are the utmost professionals and their work nothing short of beautiful and I'm including pictures of my King date palms to show the quality of the work they did for me. That's not just it though, I didn't really think about this trimming trees is no big deal right? I've always just whacked off branches not thinking about the consequences and most of the time the plants recover, Henri tree goes way beyond and gives you trees a check-up along with the trimming. All the tools he uses are sterilized after use on any one tree before moving on to the next prevent any cross contamination and they explain why and spent a lot of time teaching me how best to care for and trim my other small trees and shrubs. The clean up was fantastic and when they left they not only cleaned up the debris from trimming but all the other leaves and junk, they also tested my irrigation system to make sure no damage happened from their work. The rates are comparable to the other services, but what I got was so much more... Having read consistently good reviews about this company on Angie's List, Google Maps and Yelp, I originally contacted Henrie Tree Service on 02/08/2018 regarding a very tall, now 24-year-old Afghan (Mondell) pine tree in my front yard that was showing signs of blight (brown needles, etc.) especially near the top of the tree. The owner, Duane Henrie, proved to be a very knowledgeable (an arborist) and pleasant fellow who was by no means in a hurry and took his time to explain everything when he came by to see me at no-charge that afternoon. He recommended a wait and see approach with regular deep watering, "Super Thrive" applications and "Bayer Advanced Tree & Shrub Protect & Feed" for one year or so before any more radical measures such as tree removal should even be considered. Well, in light of this good first experience, I did once again call on Duane Henrie and his crew to remove 2 large and essentially dead bottlebrush shrubs (including stump grinding to bottom) in my backyard on 03/09/2018. They were right on time at 07:00 a.m. as scheduled. Everything went very smoothly and all the work was completed in little over one hour. You'd never know that any plants had once been located in the work area(s); everything was left clean as a whistle and this included repairing any damage that the stump grinding may have caused to my nearby PVC irrigation line. My total cost was $245.00. Personally, Duane and his employees strike me as being one of the best tree service companies in the Las Vegas metropolitan area and the posted reviews all bear this out. Since they keep a busy schedule and are in demand throughout the year, I have already arranged a return visit for July 2018 to trim the 4 palm trees on my property. If you are looking for a truly professional and competent tree service experience by an arborist (not just a landscape service provider who claims to be in the know about all things green and beautiful, but really isn't), then perhaps you too should give Duane Henrie's company a try? The office staff is very kind and helpful in advice and setting up appointments; the estimates are fair [in fact, my estimate for the second service-4/26/19 was done in 9/18 (the first time I used Henrie's service for a huge branch blown down by winds) and they held with the cost, which I thought would change in that amount of time]; and, the workers are very polite, professional and clean up the area like they had never been there. Back in Oct 2017 we had Henrie come out to look at our ash tree in hopes it could be saved. The owner was very knowledgeable, insightful and honest about our tree. It was dying and needed to come out completely. We didn't have the money at the time to have the job done right away, however he gave us a very affordable quote and gave us until April to use it. Fast forward to today March 2, 2018 and his crew showed up on time, held true to his quote and removed our tree completely, he even helped out the next door neighbor that needed a few branches trimmed off his pine tree all at the same time. They cleaned up everything. Aside from the empty dirt spot where the tree used to be, you would never know they were around, there isn't a bit of debris left. This company is very unreliable. I had an appointment scheduled for an estimate on trimming 4 of my trees. I was given a 2 hour window and after a no show I called and they had no excuse for not showing up but just was ready to make a new appointment.
