Warranty not what the contract says! I learned that a valve at my washing machine is not a fitting? When I asked why a valve was not a fitting Henry started rambling on about cats and dogs being old and having problems had nothing to do with what the my contract said he just kept going on and on. They did a good job of repiping but anyone can. They forgot hammer arrestors then said I had to wait for final inspection. A 3 hour window. I told the Owner Richard the project is not complete without a final inspection and he is responsible. I am a property manager and contractor. I know under the contractor license law he is responsible with his name on the permits. He then called me "woke" for not working for free and threatened a lein on the property even though our contract was to be paid in full upon completion. We were ready and willing to pay as soon as the agreed upon terms were met. I hired henrik plumbing Inc. to do my home repiping because they seem to be a good company according to Yelp. I am a senior citizen. I retired 3 years ago and I knew the repiping needed to be done since old homes were done in galvanize. The job was preformed on February 17, 2022 and it was done in one day as Richard Stated. My home has out door cameras. So I decided to check to see if they had taken the old galvanized pipes and they did not take them. I call Richard and he tired to make excuses for his crew. I also told him that the anti-siphon device was messing up my garden hose nozzles so I had them removed. A few days later the supervisor of the job came to remove them and I told him about my noticing that he did not take any of the old galvanized pipes as stated on the contract. He told me that He would come back in a few days to remove them. When he came back he took most of them. So I said to my self, what else they did not do. Since I was going to fix those things that I had been putting off, I decided to hire a home inspector. And when I saw the report on the piping, I felt violated and very angry. The hot water pipes were not insulated, The water pressure was too high at 90 psi, and no pressure reduction valves any where, there were some unusual bents on one of the pipes. We chose this company to repipe our house. Overall they did a decent job, but fell short in the customer relations department. They were very friendly when trying to get us to sign their contract, but took a decidedly tougher tone afterwards. They originally told us that they would send a 4-man crew and complete the actually repiping part in one day, but only sent us 2 men and took 2 days. There were two leaks after the repiping was finished, which necessitated an addition afternoon visit by the plumber to fix. One of the guys working in our attic snagged our Internet cable, resulting in loss of service. We needed a service call to have it repaired with a $160 charge. When we told the Henrik's manager about this, he got all nasty and told us that our attic was too dangerous for his crew because it had too many wires strung around. He tried to convince us that this absolved his company of responsibility for the mishap, but there was nothing in the instructions for us or the contract about "dangerous attics." In the end we took this charge off of our final bill. One other issue that arose is that we have loose-packed insulation in our walls. We know this would fall out when they cut our walls, so they agreed in the contract to replace it with rolled insulation. When the patching crew arrived on the third day they didn't know anything about this, and it took another call to the manager and more arguing to get them to install the insulation. There are probably other companies who would repipe your house for the same price without all the hassles. read more

He claims and I quote: "I am a professional who does the job professional style and not the Persian style!" Racist! I am very disappointed. We were so impressed that I had to write a review. Our house is about 50 years old. Our next-door neighbor had a pipe burst on their second floor--an expensive disaster! So, although we didn't have any water problems, we knew that we wanted to get our house repiped. Plus, when we had our hot water heater replaced earlier this year, we could see some really bad corrosion in the galvanized steel pipes. Initially we were planning to use PEX to get our house repiped. We got two quotes. Henrik (and the other company) offered both PEX and copper. We ended up choosing Henrik and going with copper. We were very pleased with the results. Henrik sent out two plumbers who each had over 25 years of experience. These guys were originally from Armenia and the quality of their work was top notch! At the end of each day, we always had at least two (out of four) bathrooms working. To be honest, I was surprised (almost alarmed) that these guys never tested the plumbing system for leaks. They just turned on the water, cleaned up their work, and left. I guess that they just knew that there wouldn't be any leaks. Guess what? There were NO leaks! I love that they added pipe insulation to all hot water lines. After they had finished the job, I inspected their work and saw that they had carefully cut insulation to fit even in small, out-of-the-way places in the ceiling and walls. Although some workers might be tempted to skimp and save a little time, these guys cared about their work, and it showed. Our hot water heater is on the opposite end of the house from our bathrooms. So, to get hot water, we would have to run the hot water for several minutes waiting for it to get warm...then eventually hot. Henrik added a hot water recirculation system for about $700. I had never heard of such a system before. They added a booster pump on the outlet of the hot water heater. This pump boosts the pressure by a few PSI and is on a timer (that we set to run in the mornings and evenings). Then, at the far end of the house, they added a thermostatically-controlled valve that connects the hot and cold water lines. The result is a recirculation system that keeps the water in the hot water line above a certain temperature during the desired hours. So, in the morning, we can turn on the hot water and, in just a few seconds, it is HOT! The patching crew was awesome as well. They textured the ceiling to match...and it does! One final compliment. The city inspector was very impressed by their work. He said that if this work had been done in his house, he would be pleased. read more

For anyone who's had crap water pressure, you know the pleasure of literally running around in the shower to get wet. It was blowing my mind to stand there sometimes for up to 3 minutes to get hot water - can you imagine all that water wasted? The shower was getting to be less and less of a pleasurable experience, and with the colder weather coming, we knew it was time to bring in the big guns. Our house was built in 1952, 50 years before we moved in, and we think that the house has never been completely re-piped, maybe just in a half-assed manner in bits and pieces. My husband came across Henrik on Angie's List as a re-piping specialist (so these aren't the guys to call when you have too much hair in your drain.) What we liked about them was that they don't subcontract out, they handle all the permits and they work quickly and efficiently. We have 1.5 baths plus the kitchen sink and the washing machine hook up and it took them about 10 hours total to do the work. Guys are here today doing the wall-patching, since they had to make some holes in the walls in our closets and under sinks and such to get at the pipes. My only complaint would be that the guys they sent didn't speak a whole lot of English so there was some miscommunication (or non communication) about things while they were here, but we managed to work everything out. Our shower is absolutely kick-ass now with water pressure that blows you up against the opposite wall, and you can flush a toilet or run water elsewhere without scalding the person in the shower. Good shower? Good shower. I'd highly recommend these guys if you're in need of some re-piping. read more

I have been meaning to write a review for Henrik Plumbing even though I did not hire their services. Willie, their experienced plumber and estimator did arrive quite punctually and was incredibly detail oriented in his inspection and the notes that he gave, so much so that I took some of his advice when I hired the plumbing company that I selected. My decision not to hire Henrik was due to some of the negative Yelp reviews that I saw online. I was also bothered by the hard sell from their representative, Richard. He called and left a number of messages to acquire my business. I understand the need to be persistent to acquire business, but found it a bit irritating. I initially thought that Henrik might be more costly than the plumbing company that I selected, but the costs turned out to be fairly the same. Richard did convey that the negative reviews on Yelp were fake. I tried to have an open mind about this possible sabotage, but wasn't completely swayed. We called this place to unclog the kitchen sink 3 months ago. The guy was very prompt and fast. Before I could ask him to check the drain in the front for me, he was done and ready to leave. I asked him for a receipt for the job, he told me he would be right back and next thing I know he already drove off. We got the no balance due bill in the mail a week after. Anyway, 3 months after this odd incident. The sink is clogged again. I called them and told the guy the sink was unclogged only 3 months ago. Before I can say anything else, he accused me of putting random thing in the sink. Dude, really? He didn't even know how the sink looks like at this point. And he also told me some people have their sink unclogged every month. WOW. I was speechless. And he told me their warranty on unclogging kitchen sink is 24 to 48 hours. I just told him it's alright, I don't need their service anymore. So $150 to unclog your kitchen sink every month is normal to these guys. No, thanks. I will call someone else. read more

Here's an update to my review I posted 2 weeks ago: I should clarify that the repiping process was completed very quickly, efficiently and seems to be done well. Everything after that has been RIDICULOUS! Here we are 4 weeks after the initial work was begun. The drywall patching was finally completed last week, week 3. "Richard" is still telling his stories! It's just hysterical. "He said the work was done yesterday" The work is done, time to pay up, yet the inspector won't sign off on a PIECE OF MASKING TAPE THAT SAYS "PEX, DON'T GROUND" What a LAUGH! Expecting to see an actual yellow sticker...Even the inspector laughed when seeing that! The inspector wanted to know where the plumbers were, they are suppose to be in attendance at the final inspection. (looking around...looking around) Nope! They didn't show up! Their work isn't done, and NOW "Richard" is threatening a mechanics lien on the property for...non-payment? This is pushing me to the limit, but I DO have to say THANKS FOR THE LAUGH on the "official sticker" today, Henriks! WOOHOO! See you all in another 2 weeks, we'll see if things are finally complete at that time....LOL! Initial Review: Henrik's Plumbing needs to work on their follow-up! We had a duplex repiped 2 weeks ago. The inspector came and the work didn't pass. The plumbers didn't post a required notice in the breaker box (is this their first time doing this kind of work?no checklist or what?) There is a water leak under one kitchen sink The drywall repairs are weak and require another coat Drywall in the garage isn't even repaired to its original condition, holes open throughout. We have tried contacting Richard, the primary "scheduler" of the work at the company. We've left message after message with no return call. When we FINALLY got hold of him, "Oh, I thought the work was done! Oh, I thought it passed inspection" If Richard would answer his phone and/or return phone calls, he would know Don't let this place pill the wool over your eyes. They're messing around with us, don't let it happen to you. We've received the Final Bill but won't be paying it for a while. If we have to get another plumber and a drywall repair guy to do the finish work, they can take their Final Bill and shove it up their own pipes! read more

Henrik plumbing was the only repiping company to call me back {four other companies also bid on the job) to ask if I had any questions about the work that they suggested. They were very pleasing to talk to and very friendly. Eddie and his crew were very professional and worked with complete detail and efficiency. His team cleaned up all areas after working. All cutouts and wall openings were filled and repaired and included in the cost of the project. I chose copper piping throughout the house and yard with hookups to watering/sprinkler system and shutoff valves. All the copper joints and connecting pieces were hand soldered. The hose bibs were solid brass with a Teflon feel to the valves. All old water pipes and valves that came out of the house were replaced with copper. We chose copper because it is better quality and not much more in cost than Pex (another alternative for repiping) The hot water pipes were wrapped with insulation as needed according to city code. Willie the estimator showed up 20 minutes earlier than the scheduled time.  He started by walking around the outside of the house to check out what he was working with, which two of our other estimators did not do. He also did a more thorough review on the inside of the house compared to the other estimators. He was really straight forward. We were planning to do PEX because it's cheaper and seems to be pretty popular but he noticed that our electricity was grounded via copper pipe outside so he said we should just do copper to avoid paying more to fix the electrical, even though copper pipes is obviously more expensive than PEX. He was very informative and you could tell he knows his stuff. He wasn't like a salesman type person which was one experience I encountered with another company.  I got a very trustworthy vibe from Willie which was pretty much the deciding factor at the end when it came down to two repiping companies.   Friday (8/7/20) the two plumbers, Vigen and Vosan, showed up about 10 minutes before 8. I saw them on the Ring app. I wasn't there yet, and my fiance and his brother did not hear the doorbell to open the door, so I got a text from a number that I assumed was Richard about opening the door since the plumbers were there.  This ended up being a blessing in disguise, getting that text. Vigen and Vosan worked hard the entire day and repiped all our old galvanized pipes and it took them up until just before 6PM. We could tell our water pressure was stronger and we didn't have any more issues of running the shower, flushing, using the kitchen sink etc at the same time.  I asked what time they'd be coming tomorrow to patch, (Saturday) and Vigen said, it would be different people coming to patch but that they'd come tomorrow around the same time, 8AM. At this point, I'm ready to give Henrik Plumbing a 5 star review on Yelp. However, Saturday morning, I come to the house early 7:30AM, waiting for the patchers to come patch up the holes. I wait until 9AM and no one shows up, so I call Henrik Plumbing- straight to voicemail. Luckily, I had the text from the previous day, so I text the number inquiring about when the patchers are suppose to show up. He tells me that no patching is scheduled for "Tuesday" but I think that was a typo and he meant to say "today"?...and that they were busy etc and that he'll try Monday and he'd know by 3PM that day, Saturday. He explained that someone should have told me or called me about the patching, but he had left the office early and said sorry. He tells me that he'd text me by 3PM that day (8/8) after getting an update from his patchers and would try his best for Monday since my house didn't have too many holes. It's past 3PM and almost 10PM Saturday (8/8) and I still haven't received a text update, so I text him and he says he'll get back to me the next day, Sunday, as he did not receive an update. Sunday morning I get a text that the house they are working on was not finished but says they can be at my house Tuesday 8-8:30AM. It's Tuesday, and again, I have arranged my plans, work meetings, etc. to work with the time they gave me. I am at the house by 7:40AM because I assume they might show up earlier than 8AM. At 8:30AM no one has showed up, so I text Richard and he says the patchers will show up by 11AM. I patiently wait, and when 11:10AM rolls around, no one has arrived. I call Henrik Plumbing.  I explain that no one has arrived and Richard is surprised. He puts me on hold to I assume, contact the patchers to see what's happening. He says, they will arrive between 12:30-1PM. I explain my frustration that there is no follow through on these times and it has inconvenienced me as I have planned around the times I was given. He says that we don't have too many holes here as it's a partial and that it shouldn't take too long, but that is not the point. The point is the times change and I am given no heads up until I reach out when no one has come at said time. He then says the patchers were suppose to come to my house first since it was a partial and less number of holes, but they didn't and went to some other house first which was taking longer than expected. He said something along the lines of, "I don't know why they didn't go to your house first". So at this point I'm still pretty irritated but after a few days I decide to be more gracious and believe that I'm more irritated at the patchers for not doing what they were supposedly instructed to do. 2PM rolls around...still no one has arrive. I call Richard again telling him that no one is here. Got put on hold again, he said they were in traffic. Finally, 2:30PM patchers arrived. Manuel and Pico worked fast and patched up the holes nicely in 3 hours. Overall, work wise, 5 stars- recommend. But because of all the hassle with the patching, I couldn't give the 4 or 5, though I am understanding that this is sort of how things are in the contractor world. The staff understood this well, and so they made sure that all the necessary inspections were done in time so that the patchers could start the job soon enough. And I have to say, the patchers were magnificent and I don't just throw this word around. After everything was done, it looked as though nothing had taken place. Don't bother to call for a so called free estimate. We asked for an inspection of our pipes under our house and a quote for replacement. The man who answered (I believe the owner) said that did not qualify for free estimate and instead was an inspection which would be a $300 charge. He was quite rude in his explanation and justification for doing so with seemingly little interest in our situation or for that matter caring for our business. After scoping out all the reviews on yelp that I could find for re-piping/plumbing, I contacted three companies I found on Yelp, one being Henrik. I was undecided whether to re-pipe or use the new Pex option, or coating the pipes to prevent leaks. I won't go into all the details, but I decided to go with the copper re-pipe, using Henrik Plumbing. I did get a couple different bids, and must say Henrik's pricing was very competitive, he even beat another plumber I had used in the past and was happy with, by $1,000. Here is who I dealt with. Mona was the scheduler, always proactive and professional. Willie was the one who came to the house and gave us the bid, he called himself a master plumber, and answered all my questions which were many, and ultimately everything he wrote down in the contract and even items that were discussed and promised (not in the contract), were honored. These guys had a phrase that brought a smile to my face quite a bit, it was the answer to all my worries - "No Problem". During the process whenever questions came up, I spoke with Richard, and again, the phrase, "No Problem" was his answer to all my concerns. My job took about three days to re-pipe, and three days to restore drywall to paint-ready condition. I have a two-story, 4 bedroom, 3 bath large home to put this in perspective. The 3-man crew for the re-piping were amazing - they were able to access areas that seemed impossible. The 3-man crew that restored the drywall were very talented as we have textured walls and they blended them perfectly. My only note is that the spackle does make a bit of a mess, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned up easily. I would recommend Henrik's to anyone thinking of re-piping, they know their business and were very honest. I rate them a 4.75 ( just because the spackle is messy). This is my first review of anything, ever. I have, however, turned to Yelp and similar sites to find stuff in my neighborhood, so when our house's fifty-year-old pipes gave out last week I frantically hit the review sites. I didn't find as much info as I would have liked (I suspected that a major re-pipe and big bucks might be involved) and I made a mental note that when I got through the process I would add my two-cents, whatever the outcome. Based on one or two reviews and the proximity factor, I called Henrik Plumbing. It was late afternoon. An extremely courteous and helpful man named Mike listened to my sad story (at this point we had shut down the water supply to the whole house) and dispatched a guy to our place within an hour. He looked the job over, told me exactly what would be involved, and ultimately quoted us a price. Big job -- our pipes were encased in the slab foundation, so no small fix would really do the trick. The re-piping of our house would require opening some walls and running supply lines through the attic. When the man left I called our regular plumber -- who was unavailable to do the work -- to check Henrik's price. Our regular plumber is, shall we say, frugal. When he heard the estimate he was surprised to hear how reasonable it was and told us to make sure they used the correct copper, etc. (they did). They sent a two-man team the next morning. They were on-time, meticulous in their prep (drop-cloths, runners on the floor, etc,) and got to work immediately. The re-pipe portion of the job was done by the end of the day, and they brought the job far enough along to give us water in the kitchen and one bathroom. The next day the job was finished by late morning. In addition to a first rate piping job, these men were scrupulously careful of the furniture and other stuff in our house. It was monstrously hot in our attic, apparently not a problem. They tidied up before leaving and left the house as clean -- or cleaner -- than they found it. And -- big surprise -- the job ended up coming in $200.00 cheaper that the estimate! This left only the holes in the walls (interior and exterior) to be patched -- also included in the price. Henrik offered to send plasterers the next day (a Saturday) but we opted for Monday. By the end of Monday all holes were nicely patched and ready for paint. Plasterers were also very respectful of the stuff in our home, the floors, etc. And they even touched up a few places that had nothing to do with the re-pipe! This company is by far the worst company I have ever encountered! A sales guy came to my house to give me a quote for a repipe and he spent 20min talking crap about his competitor, it made me feel extremely uncomfortable. This company is very unethical and not professional. I got multiple estimates for the project and their competitor was very professional and never once trashed another company. I would highly urge you to not use Henrik Plumbing they seem like they would be a nightmare to work with! read more

I had my townhome re-piped in early December. The re-piping was fast and was well done. I'd give them 4 1/2 stars for this portion (a recessed light was broke in the process). Getting Henrik to come back to fix the light, a very amateurish (orange peal to cauliflower texture and wall shadows do to the unevenness in the repair) job on the drywall and a broken faucet aerator is my issue with this company. Today (almost two months later) is the third no show to fix this these problems. I cannot recommend Henrik for this reason. Further, if you decide on using Henrik, I would suggest putting aside a few hundred dollars to fix up any issues when they are complete as their follow-up in non-existent. I also would hold my final payment until I was completely satisfied. That was a mistake on my part. Very disappointing... I took time off from work for this last appointment. Update 02/19/2016 - Drywall fixed last week. Broken recessed light and aerator still broken. Henrik scheduled to arrive today. Update 02/20/2016 - Electrician took care of my lighting. Very nice guy and was fast, proficient and professional. I've updated my rating to 3 stars. My aerator is still and issue. I'm add this email (for context) that was sent to info@henrikplumbing.com on 12/20/2015. This identical message was left the dry wall crew. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi Willy/Richard, Just an FYI. I left the following message on some R11 insulation I purchased and Home Depot. The insulation that was removed was left outside and got wet in the rain. Please read and let me know if you can help remedy this issues. * * *Henrik Plumbing * * * Some of the R11 insulation was placed outside during the re-piping. It was soaked after the rain so please use the new insulation you see on the kitchen floor. Also, please check and correct a couple of small items. · One of the kitchen recessed lights no longer works. I'm sure it worked before the re-piping as I just replace all four bulbs as two were missing when I returned. · One of the upstairs bathroom faucet aerators (hot water) is missing. I'm guessing is was removed when the system was being flushed. Please check with your piping crew to see where they set it aside. · The main water shutoff valve appear to be leaking. I'm pretty sure I would have noticed this was leaking prior to the re-piping as I walked thru the job prior to it starting. Is this something that can be fixed? Please advise. I really appreciate your fantastic work. This morning I saw a water clean-up/restoration companies outside my office window. I'm glad I will not have to worry about his problem again. Henrik, you couldn't been better for us; quality, flexibility, price - $! We went through an exhaustive process of vetting 5 repiping companies. All appeared aptly qualified with dozens of years of experience. Henrik was the 4th to meet with us. They came extremely prepared. Willy was very detail oriented as he walked through my house explaining how they'd carry out the job. We then went through a folder that he left with us, it covered everything including testimonials from prior jobs. The price was very fair. They repiped quickly, efficiently (1 day). The next day the city inspector came, and was approved. The next day, another crew from Henrik came out to patch the dry wall inside / stucco outside. Simply, masterful, artful work! My copper plumbing was replaced. Took two days. Still awaiting inspection and patching but the plumbers did a great job. Very efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. The pressure was low on my kitchen sink and I called Richard immediately. He sent the plumbers back right away and they fixed the problem. Very happy with the quick response. read more
