He's super knowledgable and attentive. He's also one of the first optometrists that is sensitive enough not to make me feel bad about my vision but suggests ways to protect my eyes. For example, he suggested that my husband gets glasses that filter out blue wavelengths (since these tend to be the ones that are most harmful to vision). The last time we went, we were rather rushed because the only available time slot was the morning when my father was due to arrive at Bradley Airport. Never before had I felt so much like a demanding customer, constantly rushing to see if we could either wrap up early, or prepay so we wouldn't have to pay after the checkup. I felt badly, but also didn't want to keep my father waiting at the airport! Dr. Hochberg and his staff were as considerate and patient as can be. He didn't cut any corners despite my attitude and ensured we got a full checkup before departing.

They perform various tests on you, make…read moreyou look at small letters on the wall with one eye, have you rest your chin on a thing while they inspect the balls of your eyes and then usually give you some sort of bad news. But Dr. Liu is great and very informative and straightforward, and I feel confident in his ability to diagnose and treat any conditions you may have. The waiting time is quite extensive and that is the one downfall, for a checkup, you're probably there for well over an hour. Just sitting, waiting, and if your pupils are dilated, good luck looking at articles on your phone to keep you busy while you wait, maybe just whistle while you wait. I'll try that next time... I recommend Yale Eye Center and Dr. Liu for all you eye-ee needs!

I am a Type 2 Diabetic & on Medicare. I called Medicare & they said Medicare will pay because I am a diabetic. I set up a 3 way conversation with Medicare & Pam & Medicare told her they will pay because I'm a diabetic. Pam insisted that Medicare won't pay for the eye refraction. I left & went to another Eye Doctor & I was told that Medicare does pay for Diabetics. I am so happy I made the change.

I have been going here for over 20 years. The most recent visit my glasses were wrong 4x! (2 pair…read moretimes 2 incorrect lenses=4 trips). I believe the problem is the labs they use to make the glasses. Also the non-glare is not non-glare at all. It has a blue tint to it and your glasses will reflect if having online meetings. I left and went to another place who measured the glasses and told me that the glasses K&P gave me did not match the prescription. In addition the bifocal area was not level. K&P did refund my money. The response I got was, "We pride ourselves in getting it right." Yes, but clearly you do not get it right. Very disappointed. I like Dr Flor and think she is a good doctor. Lost time, gas, parking fees.

I've been wearing glasses for 50 year and never had a frame completely crack in this location. I guess this is the reason they are so inexpensive. Very unfortunate, as they were a very nice design and I was going back to get a matching frame for prescription sunglasses.
