I was back in town for a conference and had always wanted to try this place while I lived here. I came by late on a Monday night since I hadn't eaten dinner yet, and Henry's has lots to offer on the late-night menu. Perhaps there was a different crowd than on a weekend. It was not very busy, but it was obvious this is a locals bar from the way folks joked with bartenders. Although, there was a couple really drunk gals there and a server asked the bartender to cut them off, in that kind of joking but not joking way. The bartender didn't cut them off. I hope they weren't driving. The bar is beautiful with warm wood and a mirror behind the bar making the place feel bigger that it is, yet still a cozy dive. I ordered a raspberry lemon drop that was too sweet. The BBQ chicken flatbread I had for dinner came out looking like a cheese pizza; however, the BBQ chicken was under all the cheese, which seemed to work flavor wise, but it's a bit rich. So, probably best to share since a couple pieces is all you need.

Stopped into Henry's for the first on a Sunday night... What a cool place. Henry's has an old school vintage vibe (similar to that of The Pine Club in Dayton, but not as high-end). There was a good mix of people and they were steady for a Sunday night. We were waiting on quickly and our server was friendly. We got the the Henry's Burger and a couple of drought beers... The food came out super quick and the burgers were great - One of the best burgers we've had in FW. We'll definitely be back...

Nice dark ambiance, booth style, ok drinks, nice versatility in menu homemade desserts, open late.

It's a bar with no cocktail list and a server who doesn't drink. My drink tasted just awful. The tables were so dirty and uncomfortable. The service was very slow. We ordered the fried pickles and they were so gross and I didnt want to order anything else. I got sick to my stomach the next day. One of the worst bars I've ever been to. :( the art was cool.

Cheap drinks, good company. Share appetizers with friends here. Lots of yummy options to choose from. Patio is lit.

Dash In - historic downtown breakfast or lunch option…read more First off...Dash In won't appeal to everyone. The prices are a bit high compared to other places with similar food items. Parking may be a challenge depending on the time of day. And the dinning area is small. Dash In has been a downtown Fort Wayne eatery option for many years. They are located on Calhoun Street next to Pint & Slice and a couple blocks south of the court house. This restaurant has retained the vintage building feel. The interior brick and wood work are very attractive to go along with the more modern decor. The bar is very attractive. They have a very small street level outside patio if that is your preference. The shop is very small. I'm guessing the bar seats about 10 people. The main dinning area probably seats about 40. The team here is very friendly and welcoming. They hustle to serve. We went on a late Sunday afternoon and didn't not have to wait. I don't think they take reservations. There are lots of people coming and going with carry out orders. Today we had no problem finding a street parking spot. There is a parking garage nearby if no street spots are available. The menu is actually fairly broad. They have a special brunch menu along with a breakfast all day menu. There were several sandwiches and wraps available. A couple salads too. The coffee and alcoholic drink menus were very large. We didn't have either of these products this time so I can't give you any feedback on them. They have a special soup du jour and deli side selection. Today it was a mushroom arugula soup and caprese salad side. My wife loves breakfast and ordered a make-to-order omelette with a side of grilled vegetables. She really liked the light tasting eggs and fresh tasting vegetables. The tomato bisque soup is one of their staples. It is delicious and would be great with a grilled cheese sandwich from the menu. The soup was smooth and creamy. It had a gentle tomato flavor along with a more predominant milk/cream base. The soup surprisingly has a stronger spicy after taste - still outstandingly delicious! The side salad is very simple. It has a combination of fresh spring mix lettuce along with a minimal amount of onion, cheese and red pepper. The honey mustard dressing was smooth, creamy, thick and a bit spicy. It was mild on the honey/sweet taste while stronger on the mustard accent. The Italian panini sandwich was very good. The ciabatta bread was slightly grilled with a firmer exterior but not crunchy. The bread had a very freshly baked taste. The sandwich had a high quality tasting ham, pepperoni, salami and provolone cheese. The meats weren't piled high...but enough to get the flavor from each. The grilled onions and banana peppers gave the sandwich a nice zing. The pleasant aioli sauce moistened the sandwich and blended the spicy meats with the zippy onions and banana peppers. Overall the food quality was excellent yet a bit more costly than you might expect. The service was spot on and helped make it a pleasant dinning experience. The older building design, if you like that, adds to the overall experience. Give them a try!

Don't Let the Exterior Fool You--This Place is an Absolute Gem!…read more If you are just driving past, you might completely miss Salvatori's since it's attached to an older gas station. But don't let that fool you for a single second. Step inside, and you're instantly met with a cozy, inviting, and bustling little neighborhood Italian joint that packs a serious punch. ### The Vibe & Service The New Haven spot is small--it only seats about 48 people--which actually gives it an awesome, high-energy, intimate atmosphere. Even when they are absolutely slammed with dine-in, carryout, and catering, the service is lightning-fast and genuinely friendly. The staff treats you like regular family the minute you walk through the door. ### The Food The portions here are massive, and the value for what you pay is incredible. If you leave this place hungry, that is completely on you. * **The Dough:** It's easily some of the best tasting, freshest dough in the area. Whether it's their garlic breadsticks or the crust on their pies, they nail the texture perfectly. * **The Calzones:** They are absolute monsters. The *Abruzzo All Meat Calzone* and the *Salvatori Supreme* are loaded to the brim, baked beautifully, and served with a killer pizza dipping sauce. * **Veneto White Pizza:** If you want to skip the traditional red sauce, this is a must-try. The combination of chicken, alfredo, mushrooms, and fresh basil on that signature crust is top-tier. * **The Pastas:** They offer half-plate and full-plate options. The full plates are massive enough to guarantee lunch for the next day. The lasagna and the rich meat sauces taste like they've been simmering all day long. ### The Verdict Salvatori's New Haven proves that some of the absolute best food comes out of the most unassuming places. It's affordable, hearty, authentic comfort food served by great people. Just make sure to get there a little early if you want a table, or call ahead for carryout--it's a local favorite for a reason!

So it was being held at a very high standard for the other three who had not been there. It did not disappoint. The bread sticks were nicely cooked, airy with holes in the middle and choice of sauces. Manicotti with meat sauce, fettuccine Alfredo add chicken, spaghetti and meatballs and a small pizza were all delicious. They do have a gluten free option. Single bathroom that can accommodate a wheelchair but likely not a large enough turning radius. It is attached to a gas station so that would be alternative option. Sangria was on par, not too sweet. Server's are all experienced and very nice. Management checked on table to insure food was good. Full size portions are enormous. We definitely have left overs.
