This is the kind of business you hope you never have to use, but need it to be proficient in the chance that you do. Henry's picked me up within 20 minutes when I was in a crash about 2-3 miles away (in LA traffic, that's impressive). This was at 4:30 pm on a Thursday, too! They were prompt and professional. The guy who towed my car and brought me to the location was really chill and we talked about his job a little. Definitely made me feel more at ease after almost getting hurt in a car accident. My car's alarm system went haywire and stuck in a parking lot. During this stressful times, I looked up the nearest towing service and found this company. The reviews are less than desirable but none the less, wanting to support a local business and needing an immediate towing service, I gave Henry's Towing a chance and give it a call. Mr. Jr took up the call, very professional, asked me where my car is to where I want my car towed and instantly gave me a quote. The call ended no longer than 5 minutes and was informed he will be there in half an hour. Much to my surprise when I see the tow truck promptly arrived within 15 minutes, Jr. took a look at my car, professionally have it towed with great care to my car. I'd like to point out that he wore a mask, wear his work gloves on whenever he touches the machinery. Mr. Jr, I want to thank you for taking a great stress off my shoulder with your MORE than reasonable price and the quick service. Helped my little cousin get his car out, prettt cheap prices and the man that helped was very nice.

I called yesterday after them being over an hour late. I was met on the phone by a gentleman named Joe who was extremely rude. Joe never once apologized for them being late and repeatedly over three or four times throughout my conversation while voicing my concerns told me if I wanted to cancel. Joe was never apologetic or sympathetic towards my needs of needing the car to get taken out at the set appointment time that we had. Joe is not a good representation of the company and when I asked to speak to the owner Joe said he was in charge and that he would personally let the owner know my frustration. I believe the owner should know that they have a gentleman who is not good representation of the company and I am still unsure if Joe was even his real name. Thank you Henry's Towing. This is my first review ever but I was treated so amazingly well that I just had to share my experience. The dispatcher was very helpful and very nice, I told him my location and where I was headed and was given a great price. I was dreading the towing fee due to me calling elsewhere and them charging me and arm and a leg. Henry's prices are amazing and affordable. What made my experience with them a million times better was Mauricio. He was extremely sweet and very helpful. If I ever get stuck anywhere (not that I want to) I would definitely give them a call and request a pick up by Mauricio. He made the ride very comfortable and distressed the situation. I want to start this review off by saying that Henry's Towing is an angel sent from heaven. My car was stuck in a parking garage I couldn't get back into and it was late at night. I went through about ten different people trying to find a way to get back into the building (it was not business hours) with no avail until I came across the phone number for Henry's Towing. He arrived in less than 5 minutes and not only did he help me get my car out, he didn't even charge me. I kept insisting on paying him but wouldn't accept it. These guys are garbage. My battery died on the side of the road and I requested a jumpstart at 5:45pm. Estimated arrival was 6:45. Ok that's kinda long but whatever. At 7pm I call to ask where my help is and I'm told they are finishing a job and coming straight to me, should be there in half an hour. Ok. Now it's 8pm, I call in again to ask where my technician is, and after waiting on hold for 10 minutes I'm told yeah they're on their way I'll have them give you a call. Obviously there was never a call. It's almost 9pm and so I call in again and the receptionist (who is rude as hell) tells me that their drivers aren't allowed to call because it's unsafe. Then why did you tell me he'll be calling me? I guess I just have to Uber home. Again. These guys are absolute garbage. read more

When i called the shop to complain he yelled and said i will cancel your service and hung up!!! When i called again asking him not to cancel the service bcuz am stuck and really in trouble he hung up on me again!!! I have never dealt with such RUDE person!! Called today at 3pm for a quote to tow my car roughly 7 miles, Joe on the phone quoted me $48. What a great price! I requested my car to be picked up at 4:30pm and it was no problem. Gil called me right before 4:30 and told me he was parked at the corner by my car, I explained I was a few minutes away and he told me not to rush and he just wanted to tell me he was there. Gil had great customer service! When we got to the auto shop, he even helped push my car into their lot! I wish I had cash on me so I could tip him! Thank you so much for the great service! Victimized and gouged by these less than friendly... actually to be truthful, rude and even condescending folks today. Great to hear they charged some of you above here 48 bucks, but I guess when you're already a victim, they feel they have the right to charge you 265 bucks instead. After all, they didn't make you a victim, they're just piling on right? You would think when an arsonist burns your car that would make you victim enough, right? It's a tragic and very violating feeling, also very scary to be targeted by an arsonist and in this case that was made slightly better when they did catch him toward the end of this last weekend. So anyway, the police had my vehicle towed from in front of my residence on a Friday about 1.5 to 2 miles to Henry's Towing to hold it for evidence in their investigation/case. No problem, I'm all for helping to catch this guy, right? So last spoke to the police on Sunday and my vehicle is still on hold, fine. Wednesday, we get a receipt in the mail and indication that the vehicle is released from hold... Long story short, we went straight over to Henry's towing, but had to pay these clowns 365 bucks to get the completely burned vehicle out of their yard to be sold for scrap. Even though it's still totally wrong, I would have paid the 48 dollars other people mention paying and pretty much just moved on without much thought. I just don't get how they want to gouge somebody who's already out major $$ through no fault of their own. BOTTOM LINE: when they need to attract you as a customer they charge a reasonable (48$) price. BUT... when you have no choice but to deal with them, as i did, they hold you up by your ankles and shake your pockets empty. Upon my request Progressive dispatched Henry's Towing to tow my car to my preferred auto shop. Upon arrival the driver somehow had the incorrect shop and delivery address. The driver demanded $25 dollars as fee to change the delivery address. I explained that there must be an error in communication between themselves and progressive as I had never provided anyone with the address. I kindly asked the driver to reach out to Progressive in order to remedy the situation. I explained I would do the same. I figured he was going to notify his office and hopefully the situation would be rectified by the time my car was delivered. Surprisingly 2 minutes later he demanded the money. I explained I'm on hold with Progressive. He got really rude and wouldn't put my car on the lift till i paid him. I gave him a credit card and wrote on the slip that I am contesting the charge. I then kindly asked him to hold off on processing the payment for the $25 fee until one of us was able to reach Progressive regarding the matter. When I got home I reached out to Henry's towing main office / dispatch / customer service to make sure they had either contacted progressive and/or delayed processing the charge till tomorrow when we could remedy the situation. The response was an extremely rude NO, followed by blaming me for the error and they didn't call progressive because sometimes they have to be on hold. This lady was about as rude and nasty and obviously lazy as I've ever heard in a long time! I think Progressive and all insurance companies should never contract with Henry's towing. On top of this, I had to wait a half hour for the tow driver to show up to the shop. Which is crazy since we left at the same time. Then the driver driver drove right past me as I was trying to point him into the area where they wanted the car dropped. It took another 10-15 minutes for him drive around in circles to find the shop again. This guy was a real mess which would've been ok except for how rude he was and how he clearly ignored my repeated request to help remedy the earlier situation. All for $25? It's amazing how multiple people in the same company can have such an unhelpful and mean spirited nature. Especially when so many people are out of work these days that you'd think they'd be grateful to have a job? What a horrible experience! Stay away from Henry's! read more

This review is about a week late but here it is . This was my first time using Henry's , I usually use Navarros , Pepe's or Freeway because of the area I live in but have never really had great experiences with any of those . This experience was great! I got a flat in the Alhambra area because I was picking up my wife from school. I yelped and found Henry's to be the closest . The dispatcher was very friendly and courteous . He gave me an estimated ETA of about 25 minutes which was perfectly fine but guess what ? It was more like 7 minutes so boom! already a plus for me. I called these guys about a car parked in my apartment parking space. The guy who who answered the phone, I think, was "Junior." His phone service was excellent. As it was, I located the owner of the parked car and she moved it. But Junior had assured me that if needed, his Company could respond quickly. My poor Prius had to be towed to the dealership. I gave Henry's a call and they were able to give me a fair rate and a reasonable time frame (within an hour). The driver (Sylvester) was very professional and friendly. He definitely knew what he was doing. He got me hooked up and out very efficiently. I called around 6pm for a tow and they were not able to come at that time. The man I spoke to told me to call tomorrow around 8am for at tow. That is the only reason why I am giving 4 stars, due to them not being 24hours. The next day, they came at the time they said they would arrive (25minutes) and charged me 45$ for a 2 mile drive to my car and a 2 mile drive back to my house (total of 4-ish miles) which is pretty good. Some places I feel would charge double that. They guy who picked me up was very kind and even looked at my engine to see what could be the problem. He was really polite and understanding, which counted so much at the time cuz I felt crappy knowing my car had died. I would recommend them! read more

Worst service ever. They gave an estimated arrival time of 6:37. For a vehicle call stuck on 241 Toll road. Which was a 60-90 wait. The est arrived was 6:38. Waited until 7:20 to call and was hung up on when asked for arrive time. Found out that they gave us to another provider when the notification changed. We called and questioned she hung up. Called back and she hung up a second time. Then refused to answer the call. The company that the farmed us off to said they received the call at 7:20. We called Henry's they informed us that hey gave us to another company for faster service. When we stated we have already waited 2 hours the rude telephone receptionist hung up on us. We then called back and she refused to pick up the call The new company gave us an estimate of an additional hour. We have now spent 4 hours on the side of the road with two children in the car on Mother's Day. I would not recommend this service or their rude lack of customer service personnel to anyone. I'm cancelling my insurance company as well because I pay for road side assistance so that I do not have this situation. I don't usually review service but it's already hard when you are stuck on the road. The least they could do is not be rude and definitely not hang up on you. read more

Just was parked at El Centro and Meridian in South Pasadena. As I walked out of my office my car was sitting on a tow truck...well the front two tires were.... with one cable hooked up to it. The police were there and said I was just in time and my car could be released though I would have to pay the parking ticket...being the understanding person that I'm I agreed to paid the parking ticket and the officer asked them to release my car....for a cost, a steep cost. They wanted $145 on the spot to release my car...I was shocked! You want $145 to unhook one cable? I very nicely pleaded with the driver, but he was completely dismissive. I was forced to pay right there on the spot or he was going to take the car. I paid, got my car and called the company thinking maybe I could at least find a reasonable resolution that was fair to both parties.....I thought wrong. After explaining his case he said "we got to make money, this is a business....He also said our tow charge is $145 (if they tow it to the tow yard), so having one cable hooked up is the same cost as a tow all the way to their yard? Are you kidding me!? These guys are not a "nice family business" like they make themselves out to be. They are in the business of scamming people. I'm contacting the police department and filing a formal complaint. I'm also going to spread the word as much as possible until they contact me to resolve the issue. This isn't so much about the money as it is about calling out businesses with poor ethics. I'll make sure to update this based on how they handle this. read more

Total scum bags!!! My seat was ripped. It looks like someone had something sharp in there pocket when they sat down. There is dirty grease all over my steering wheel and door panel which won't come out, and my ashtray was emptied out of all my spare change. Do yourself a favor and use anyone else. read more

I have never used this tow company but gor as long as they have been around they have used Westminster Ave as a freeway they don't slow down for kids they don't stop at stop signs I've contacted the Alhambra police and I'm not sure they have looked into it because it keeps going on.
