Milan was fantastic at setting everything up, Ronny and JR were in charge of the crew, and they were fantastic at navigating the myriad issues involved (coop to coop move). They managed to move 5 Billy bookcases, 3 of which are 15 years old at this point, without a single issue of any kind. These are not the sturdiest of items, so I find that impressive. They had zero damage at either building, and given what I saw in the myriad moves from our old building, where I was a member of the board, most moving companies have a total lack of care.

It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. She was always extremely responsive. Every question we asked was answered quickly and every email we received felt very reassuring. We haven't moved in a while and we had a lot of worries about moving to NY and hiring movers. But we could tell how competent they were even over email. For example, we realized the night before the move that we have a sunken in living room we did not mention before. We thought surely that will be an extra charge (and other movers might be very upset with us for not mentioning it!). We frantically emailed that they may want to bring a ramp or something. Olga responded, that is no problem. A lot of other companies also wanted an inventory of everything ahead of time, which we definitely didn't have. Olga said we could guesstimate and update her if anything changed. This was a lifesaver. When we updated along the way, she never seemed concerned that what we were adding was too much. We have friends who have used other moving companies, and they told us actual horror stories (e.g., movers not showing up, a million extra charges, needing every box to be accounted for before the move, things breaking, etc.). So when we were looking for movers, we were trying to avoid all of that. We decided to go with NY nomads because they were a small family business. I used this company for a 1 bedroom move. Their quotes are partially time-based. The first two…read morehours have a set cost and then there is a charge for each additional half hour. Based on my estimates of the time the job would take, they were much cheaper than any of the 5 other companies we got quotes from. In the end though, the job did take longer than expected. They used three employees and a large truck. They provided blankets, plastic wrap, and tape to properly protect all items for transport. If they noticed any preexisting damage on the furniture, they notified us promptly so we were aware. Initially, they worked quite efficiently, but began to slow down during the second half of pick-up. What I thought would take about 4 hours ended up being a 6 hour job, including a 45 minute drive to the new place. They still came in cheaper than the next best quote we were considering, but not by much. When they finished the move, they left a mountain of tape, plastic, and cardboard, which they supplied, in our hallway. We thought they would clean it up before leaving, but we were left with that task, which was disappointing. They require a $50 + tax deposit to reserve a move. You pay the balance after all the work is done. They offer a discount if you pay in cash. Overall, they were professional and moving is grueling work so I have no major complaints, other than the debris they left behind. But be mindful that the time-based quote may add up, so be prepared to spend more than you might anticipate.

We were in and out of my old place in 40 minutes (granted, that depends on the amount of stuff). We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense
