I used them twice and just tried to use them a third time. The main issue I have is that their site is misleading. First, it says 2 men with a sprinter van = $95 for 1hr. Everywhere a number is shown it says $95, but it also mentions 2hrs minimum, so the minimum total is $190 plus tip. If you're booking quickly, please be sure to recognize that even for a 1hr move you'll be paying over $200 with tip. Second, their site shows availability for the current day, but when you try to book or call, they will frequently say there is no availability (this happened to me twice). When you call in they'll try to book you for a later day. That is a bait and switch and takes up my time that I could have used to find a different mover. Finally, they denied me service today, partly because their drivers are unavailable (site shows availability for every time slot today), and partly because they said I was unhappy with the price I paid last time (which is true, I suggested they update their website, and the site still doesn't list "$190" anywhere as the minimum total). I give them two stars because the moving service was professional and seamless, but all the extra effort around scheduling and pricing make it not worth the hassle. Please note that they also push their customers to leave yelp reviews, which likely skews their overall rating higher than it otherwise would be. read more

Requested a quote from Yelp and had an answer within about 20 minutes of filling out some info (to see if I needed a uhaul or not), and got a very reasonable quote. I was moving a 5 medium sized pieces of furniture and needed a bed taken outside. I was working with Jahfari (spelling?) and one other mover and they used a sprinter van- $90/hr. They were great to work with, quick, careful, and had a good attitude. I used them for about 3 hours including travel. There was an ~$83 deposit, $100 for the COI which my building required, and the $90/hr and I tipped 25%. I moved from South Williamsburg to the East Village. Really easy experience. I booked in the morning and he showed up at 2pm on the dot. Moved three really heavy items (200 lbs each) from Manhattan to Queens and they were really patient even with incredible traffic due to a parade on the weekend. If I could give this company zero stars, I would due to their total unprofessionalism and, what I believe, is an illegal processing of my deposit. I booked a move with the No Problem Express Movers and due to circumstances out of my control, I had to cancel my move. When I initially booked my move, I put a deposit down - normal process - and the person that I spoke to communicated to me verbally that I could cancel up to 72 hours before my scheduled date with no penalty. Unfortunately, I then had to cancel my move and immediately informed them (120 hours ahead of the booked date). They informed me that the deposit would not be refunded. You can imagine how disappointed I was to hear this since this was never communicated to me. I spoke to the same person that took my deposit and expressed my frustration. Instead of explaining the situation and trying to work with me, as a customer, to come up with a solution, she became very aggressive and explicitly called me a liar. This, I believe, was extremely unprofessional and not to mention profoundly rude. To be sure, I checked all correspondence with them as well as their website to see if there was anything that indicated that the deposit would not be refunded. There was absolutely nothing and so effectively, what they've done by keeping my deposit is COMPLETELY ILLEGAL. I've attached two screenshots of their policy page directly from their website and I confirm that on both their policy page and my confirmation email, they do not have any information about deposits not being refunded. Again, this was not communicated to me during the booking which really should be standard protocol. For anyone who does business with this company, do your due diligence. I don't know what company would take a customer's deposit and push their business away rather than working with them to solve the issue. read more

Straight up: No Problem Express Movers receives my highest glowing praise and my greatest respect for their exceptional professionalism every step of the way! It was a sudden choice for me to move from Brooklyn, NY to Troy, NY (Hudson Valley) in the middle of the pandemic and it was a total blessing to find NPEM to deal with my relocation in short notice. They responded to my first email within 24 hours and the owner (Jafaria) personally called me to clearly discuss the financials, logistics and arrangements in person (really nice dude). He was also totally responsive to all my follow-up emails and additional queries. I received a confirmation text and email in advance of my move-date. I had to hire the "3 men per hour" scenario and NPEM offered a slight discount for that (really kind). On my move-date the 3 men arrived on time and they got to work swiftly and efficiently. They wrapped all my large furniture beautifully and they handled everything mindfully. They had a solid system for getting everything to the street and packing everything safely into the truck (heroic effort). It was a 3-flight walk-up for both apartments (serious workout!) and the 3 men were cheerful and fun to work with the entire time (good vibes). The move took about 10 hours (including the 3-hour drive upstate) and it all went really well. At the end of the day I received a kind follow-up call from the NPEM office and we took care of the payment via Zelle pay. Jahfari and his crew are excellent! When finding movers in NYC, often times it is a shot in the dark with trying to find movers off Craigslist. I handle many AirBnB properties in New York City and am often doing moves. 3 years ago it was a monthly headache to find movers who were on time ( not the "we are on our way / be there in 10 minutes" tripe, which translates to stuck at a move, has to do another move before your move so "can we plz do 2morrow???"), professional (not some guys from the bronx with their moms beat up mini van chucking your $900 tv between the bucket seats), no hidden fees (not the "never told us about the night stand being moved, so will be an extra $50) gyp. My monthly "problem" became "No Problem" once I met Jahfari. He is punctual, honest with timing and pricing (and very fair), nothing has ever been damaged or a single screw gone missing (with over 40 or so moves for me), and he has the tools and knowledge to disassemble and reassemble any type of furniture. We did a same-day booking with Jahfari and his crew after our original movers no-showed the morning of our move. We had an excellent experience! We moved out of our one bedroom apartment in Midtown Manhattan to central NJ. We were told they would arrive by 3:00pm latest, they came at 2:30pm. In addition to being very professional and courteous, they were very careful not to damage any of our items. They worked quickly and didn't utter a complaint the entire time, despite our couch being a bit tough to move.
