When I originally purchased my hair in 2019 I was very excited to try it out as I had heard good reviews from the company and a few bad ones but overall there seem to be no issues. I ordered their premium wave hair and eventually had the bundles made into a wig and the wig was nice but I definitely noticed tangling in the nape area. Although the hair is touted as being virgin raw hair it's impossible for it to be virgin raw hair and to tangled that bad, that is a sign that it's different hair from different donors and the hair is tangling because it's going in different directions. After wearing the wig 3 times I decided I didn't want to wear dark hair and started wearing other wigs. I recently remembered I had this wig in a bag in my closet and decided to use it. Since I also purchased a frontal from them in the same texture at the same time I purchased the bundles but never used it, I decided now would be a good time to try it out. My problems came in when I decided to add color to the wig. The frontal lifted beautifully but unfortunately I had to stop lifting it because the bundles would no longer lift past a light brown, semi copper color. Raw virgin hair it would not react this way. I also noticed even after using professional color and conditioning products that the bundles did not feel the same quality and tangled even worse. The frontal was very clearly a better quality than the bundles even though they were both sold under the same name and texture. I tried to contact her imports and spoke with a woman name Queen I believe who stated she would get in contact with the distributor while placing me on hold. When she came back she said she would give me a call within the next two hours since there was a time difference and she never called me back. When I tried to reach back out to them I got no response. I'm sure they know who I am since she took down my name and phone number. The customer service has been horrible and I'm sure the company knows the hair they're selling does not live up to it's name. It would be nice to get some sort of resolution from them. I would take a replacement of the bundles if they couldn't offer a refund since the hair definitely has not lived up to the standards they claim. read more

Came in here with the hair emergency hoping that they could provide me a higher caliber of options than I could find at the beauty supply store Unfortunately, that was not the case. This place is more like a beauty boutique. Instead of grab & go, customers have to have a consultation with one of the sales associates to get with it is they need. It's not a quick process or something that you can do without a neither of which worked for me giving my time crunch. Unfortunately, there was only one sales associateworking while I was there and I had to wait until she finished to ask my questions... So I've been wearing this hair for some years. The higher caliber hair is really good. The studio bundles require work. Thats the truth. The body wave is better worn as straight hair with body because the waves fall, so if you want straight hair, purchase the body wave. It needs moisture to remain nice so prepare with a good leave in. Mostly though I wear the tight curl- like all the time. Again, it's super dry. I'm preparing for a new install tonight, so I just saturated in garnier coconut conditioner & curly hair leave in, then washed with cold. Every night before bed I wet it and put more conditioner, then do a high bun & my bonnet. It looks good but it's NOT for people who just want an easy wake up and go weave. I'm willing to work to save money on bundles but if you can afford / want to buy higher caliber, then do that, but the studio bundles are fine for me. read more

I only wrote this review because there are so many negatives ones, and I wanted to share my feedback. EVERY time I go in the store the reps are nothing but nice to me. Never rude, they were patient with me because I asked a lot of questions LOL. Just today I called and MARIYAH was super helpful. Super polite "Yes ma'am, no problem how can I help you?" etc. I had questions re: ordering online vs. coming in store she was able to give me the information and did that with a smile and sweet personality. She was fun to speak with. As far as the HAIR quality I have never had a problem. I had 4 installs with my hair Malaysian Straight and honestly I can still use it. The first time I've ever been not satisfied with herimports!! I wonder if the sold me the discount hair by mistake?! The picture on the left was just installed last night the right is from July with 18 month old hair. Both are suppose to be Mongolian curl but you can see the curl patterns are completely different!! This place is pretty great. My hair stylist told me about them last week and I went to get hair the same day. They have Peruvian and Brazilian hair and their prices are insanely good. The hair doesn't tangle or anything...it is ridiculously good hair for the price. The only downside is the fact that the bundles are pretty small. I had to buy three to get a full weave. Also, they tend to run out of hair in certain lengths sometimes so I recommend calling ahead of time to make sure they have what you want before you go. Cash only, as well. Try to go at a random time and not right after work or on weekends because apparently lots of people know about this spot and it can get packed. And if it gets packed, you're going to have to sit down and wait for a while, especially if a chatty first time weave wearer gets in and sits down with the sales person before you and starts yapping away asking questions and all. read more

Payed for two 22 inch studio bundles received 16 in! Customer service was quick to respond and only solution was to return hair and they can refund me or exchange. I wasn't going through that again due to time and not knowing just how long the process would take. Even after co-washing to looses up the curls I even hung the hair to air dry hoping the curls would relax more. NOPE! the hair barely stretched to 16 inches even after talking a strand of locks and taking a comb to it. I will never order from them AGAIN. I ordered a 16,18,20 for $310, Brazilian Wave. As soon as I order I get an email saying my address doesn't match. The same address I've been using the past 3 times. Asking me to send a picture of my ID, the last 4 digits of my credit card and a sign affidavit that I authorized the purchase. This has NEVER happened to me with them before. They obviously are getting that much FRAUD that all of a sudden they start askin for things like this. Because it was last minute, I was pissed and had a flight in a couple of days I did it and best believe I changed my credit card# afterwards. I had a great experience. I came in about an hour before closing on a Sunday, and Whitney gave me all the time I needed to ask questions, see products, and provided pricing on a variety of packages to see which one best worked with my budget. I never felt rushed. The site is beautiful and welcoming, the reps were very cordial, (I worked with Whitney), and the prices offered something for everyone. The owner was also easily available via phone to address concerns, which I really appreciated. I ended up selecting the premium Brazilian straight bundle. One week later I do have shedding, but it's minimal and equivalent to the amount seen with our normal hair. It is silky, blends well with my straightened natural hair, holds curls well, and does not tangle. I will keep monitoring and update if any of this drastically changes. I live in Chicago and typically go to their Roosevelt office location to pick up hair. This is not a post about the quality of the hair, it is solely their customer service that is an issue. 1. The location is in an office building for security. Strange but understandable. There are hours on the website but no instructions on how to reach the staff or how to locate them. The front entrance receptionist leaves at five but HerImports is open until 7 PM. If there is no one in the lobby you have to wait and call until someone comes to grab you. This can range anywhere from 10-30mins depending on whether the salesperson is on break or seeing another customer. 2. If you call in advance to check on the type of hair you want to purchase, they always confirm that they have it even if they don't. I am very particular about the color and length of the hair I purchase so I always call to confirm. To my dismay, they didn't have it in all of the lengths but still wanted me to pay full price for a part of a bundle deal. 3. Instead of purchasing in store, I decide to buy online since there is an option to select the color preference. When I confirmed my order, I received an email saying that I had to send in my ID, Credit card number, with a photo of my credit card and a signed authorization form in order to get a confirmation. This should not be a request! In this day and age identity theft is a major issue and I'm not going to put myself at risk for hair when I can clearly see that the staff is lacking in the customer service department. Also, they have locations internationally so there is no telling who will have access to your private information. This is supposed to be a premium service and they should invest in secure online transaction software so that they don't inconvenience their loyal customers. When I called to get information on shipping, they said that they would need the auth. form before they could ship out even though my information was accurate and that they would not waive the rush shipping fee. I hope that HerImports understands that customer service reputational loyalty is more valuable than having a popular brand name. The market is flooded with many premium hair suppliers and the way you treat your customers will make the difference between the sale. I ordered online from this store for the first time in July and got scammed. The shipping was fast, but I never received my wig, the wig glue or the lash glue that I ordered. When I opened my package there was a pair of too small leggings. No packing slips, no note, nothing. When I attempted to contact customer service I got canned responses stating they couldn't help and didn't offer any other option. This was an almost $500 order that I never received. The hair felt like plastic hair and the texture was not the correct texture of my natural hair. I had to ask several times if I could return the hair for a full refund. Instead they sent me $385 gift card, which is not the full amount I paid for the hair. Again after asking to make an exception for a one time return for full refund, they just sent me the terms and condition and said gift card if the only option. So I decided to check them out cause a friend told me that they were having a sale. I never had a sew-in before so I thought that they would be helpful with picking out the right type of hair. First the young lady that was there to help me sat on her cell phone the whole time. I was trying to ask the difference between the studio and regular hair and her response was "I don't know cause I only wear the expensive hair I don't wear the cheap hair". Now I might add that the current hair she had in looked very cheap to me and I was trying to understand how the hair she had was "premium". When I asking abt the sale she told me I don't know abt a sale you will have to pay the price that we have here. I said fine, what do you have here and she showed me the "premium" hair which didn't feel all that great to me. Like I said I never had a weave but had many girlfriends who get them done and the hair they have never felt like this. When I finally decided on a type of hair, body wave they didn't have the length I wanted. Instead she told me I need to buy the 20 and 22 inch. I asked if they could order what I wanted and was told I need to do that myself cause they don't do that. After that she got on her cell phone and had full conversation. When I checked out, the shipping indicated 3-5 business days, even though I had used a coupon promising 2-3 business days. I figured, okay no big deal, I can handle getting it a week from now. However I contacted them today (8 days later) and have been informed that the hair has not even shipped yet!!! I was also told by the rep "the shipping time refers to AFTER we ship it out, not the total time after you order". This is unacceptable and unlike any other company that sells online. Her Imports is trash. I decided to buy their $50-$60 bundle hair....DO NOT EVER PURCHASE THIS HAIR. They promote the hair as if it's a cheaper version of their overpriced "top of the line" hair. Okay no, it's just extremely cheap, raggedy hair they found from the street. Now, I've been a Her Imports customer for years now (even back when the hair had a funny smell) and I have never experienced such awful hair. This hair gets extremely tangled and matted, after TWO WEEKS (when they tell you it lasts at least 2 installs!) After wearing this hair for literally two weeks, I was in utter disbelief; I couldn't even comb through the hair. Oh and if there is some humidity involved, the hair gets so large and out of control; LITERALLY LIKE A LARGE BEE HIVE OF SOME SORT. It gets even better, I called to express my concerns and frustrations. The rude manager told me there was nothing she could do and I should try another shampoo....excuse me?!?! Whatever happened to customer service? Or at least an explanation why YOU ARE FALSELY PROMOTING HAIR? They should sell this hair as "Cheap and unmanageable $50 bundles that you can wear for two days". I ordered 4 bundles of Brazilian body wave online and it came from this location. I got my hair fairly fast and the packaging was good. I ordered the 16,18,20 bundle package and another 20 inch. The hair was soft, the smell was fine, but the some of my the ends were a little dry but still good quality. This hair doesn't tangle or shed that much at all. My hair does not smell like corn chips as some have said. Overall I give them 4/5 and I will definitely order from them again! read more
