HOORAYYY!!!! Herbal Nails is officially my neighbor and I could not be more excited. I've been going to their location on Scottsdale Road and Lincoln for the past few years and while it isn't TOO far away, it was just far enough away to make me try closer places when I was feeling lazy or in a time crunch. I have to admit, the last two times that i've gotten my nails done at different spots in the neighborhood, i've had horrendous experiences. BUT NOT ANYMORE, my spot is here and i'm ecstatic as you can tell. They use all natural gel called SNS, have A MILLION colors (it can be overwhelming) and it lasts for 3 weeks minimum. It doesn't ruin your nails and the salon does not smell like chemicals. Trust me, once you go SNS, you'll never go back to paint-on gel. In fact, they do offer acrylic services but have them in a completely separate, closed off room so that the main salon isn't exposed to the fumes. The pedicures are always a dream as well - they squeeze REAL citrus on your legs and have a variety of packages to choose from! The chairs are top quality as well. Love! I'll be back in a few weeks! One nail came off-her nail! All her other nails are now lifting from the skin. Doctor visit later-no manicures for a long while. No herbal nails ever! Not impressed. Had these dip nails on for one week and they were already chipping and now completely off. I knew the lady was rushing and skipping steps as she was doing them. My dip nails usually last 3-4 weeks (as I've been getting them for 3+ years now) so to have paid $55 and for them to come off in one week is very disappointing. read more

I was given a gift card from someone who highly recommended this place & let me just say I was very disappointed. I went in for a gel manicure & I was very surprised at how quick they were, I was in & out within 20 minutes, when i left the salon my nails looked nice but they lasted only 24 hrs before they chipped! I went back & asked if they can redo the chipped nail & add an additional coat & they did & not even TWO days later they chipped again!! As a mother, I wash dishes & do laundry & obviously get my hands dirty & it seems like the work I had done can't withhold what I do; which is strange because my regular nail salon last me up to two weeks or more & they're cheaper & take their time. I still have money on the gift card & was told that I should try this place one more time( however I'm hesitant) I will update my review after the next time I go back (if I go back) ~ UPDATE ~ 2/22/19 I went back & tried the SNS last week & as soon as I walked through the door I voiced my previous experiences & asked for SNS because the concerns with the gel that I had. Upon leaving, I asked how long SNS will last & was told 3-4 weeks. The customer service from the receptionist was great, I would give her 5 stars but the NAIL services are the worst I've ever had!!! They try to force you to withdrawal cash from the atm and not just for tip, they want you to pay the whole service in cash. There are so many choices when it comes to nail salons but I've always received great service and the staff always makes an effort to accommodate my needs (even on short notice) that I would not consider an alternative. Eeesh!! They gave me Contact Dermatitis!! I do NOT recommend this spot for anybody for several reasons. Being somebody that regularly gets my nails done since I was a teen well into my mid thirties now- NEVER been allergic to any nail products/gel/SNS of any sort- this place has stopped me from going back. I have gone here at least 10 times in the past for both manicures & pedicures but this visit I made an appointment for a regular manicure.. my tech came to the desk with "SNS" so I didn't have any hesitation to just start up SNS again. My fingers started itching within a few hours. I woke up the middle of the night with them burning and woke up to bumps all over my fingers up to my knuckles. They were filled with clear ooze that you could pop. It's gotten worse over a week now! Saw a doctor and urgent care. Also have to schedule a dermatologist appointment come Monday. Keep in mind that I had to immediately get them taken off the next day- went in and was asked if I ate something I am allergic to!!! I was not offered any refund and of course did not ask for one. I cannot believe the owner or manager did not immediately take a concern and try to offer me a regular manicure if I came back. NOTHING!! Absolutely shocked at the lack of concern over! Will never be back and you were warned. Should bring them my bills after all of this. read more

I walk in, they welcome me. Thats the one star they earned. I get seated and the lady doing my nails before even saying "Hi" sits down and is on her phone right in from of me for a good 2-3 minutes. Helen did my nails. I bring my own polish when I go. Because I know majority of salons thin out their polish to make you need to come back. Before painting my nails, I watched her turn around and pour thinner into my polish. I asked her what she was doing and she told me that thinner would be better for the polish, but I explained to her that this was my polish not the salons in the thinner makes it chip faster. She continued to pour the thinner into my polish, and painted then painted my nails without base coat. I wanted to love this place so much that I came back again to get my previous SNS taken off. I wanted to give my nails some breathing time and just take a few weeks off from getting them done. My nails were filed/drilled (not really sure what it is) so much that they are weak beyond belief. I can confidently say my nails have never been in such poor shape. It's been about two and half weeks since I've gotten them removed, and they are still weak to the point that pressure is uncomfortable - I type all day at work, and I have to adjust my pinky finger to avoid hitting the nail, if that makes sense. I also have indents in my nails from the filing. I have no idea how to explain them, but the pictures should do them justice. All in all, I'm not very pleased with their quality of work, and am already working on finding a different nail salon for when my nails are feeling stronger. read more

I had a great experience there yesterday. Being new to Phoenix, I'm on the search for the perfect nail salon and still trying places around. Walked in on a Saturday at around 3pm and place was busy. It has a very nice bright and open feel, passes along the vibe of being upscale. Great music selection, bottled water, some people were drinking mimosas and strawberries (I didn't get one, nor sure why), hostess was very friendly and so were the employees. Luckily I got seated right away, which was awesome. I just needed a pedicure. Massage chairs are fantastic, the massage that comes with the spa pedicure was also amazing. My technician was good and gave me a great foot massage. Clean tools, good products. She did a great job on my toes. Endless color selection, which is great. I spent a total of one hour there with the spa pedicure. Cost $50. It's pricey for a gel pedicure, but once in a while o think it's worth it to splurge a little bit and feel pampered. I booked my appointment same day and they were quick to take me in, even though it was super busy. the girl at the front desk was amazingly helpful (she had dark hair and braids). She helped me through the options available and a chose SNS tips manicure and a Pedicure. I also got my eyebrows waxed, which they squeezed in for me. I had three different nail technicians and they were all great. The nail technician who did the SNS (Leon?) did a GREAT job and was meticulous in application. They look so great and natural. The place is new so the pedicure chairs were new and amazingly comfortable. My pedicure was great and so relaxing. My feet were really gross and dry and it helped a lot. They also did a great job with my eyebrows. I was very happy and the technician listened to my instructions. There's no chemical smell in the building at all, which I really appreciated. I asked for a french tip manicure with dip and my friend wanted a gel mani with a design. My manicure looked terrible. Each nail had a different shape and was extremely uneven. The dip was bumpy and misshaped. Also, typically a very light pink is put for a french mani. My color was so pink that I did not even want to have it be a french manicure anymore as I thought it would look bad. I have added photos. Additionally, my friends design came out horribly. We both were very disappointed especially as the price was so steep. Got them redone at another salon for 1/2 the price!!! Will never come back again unless I am seeing Tina. read more

I love this nail salon. I was going to the one on Scottsdale and Lincoln for years but they recently opened the Arcadia location that is much closer for me. They seem to always have excellent nail techs. This new location is very pretty inside with big TVs the staff is very kind, i was asked by many staff members "can i get you anything" or "is everything okay". They will be getting a liquor license so it will be perfect for girls night out party or bridal party. They carry every shade of every color that you could possibly think of which was great because you will find a shade for any skin tone, i always ask for help picking a color with approx 17 pedicure chairs and 17 nails/manicure stations which means once it's fully staffed walk-ins will be a breeze. I find this place to be very clean just like the Lincoln location which they take sanitizing and cleanliness very seriously which a big big plus. Because I have had the SNS nails on long enough to say on the rare occasion l brake a nail my real nail is not weak or damaged like acrylic can make your nail. Right now they are offering 20% off the the grand opening which is great deal if you just want to go give it try. They also have a 7 days guarantee so if you have a break or chip or problem they will fix it.
