I called ahead to get a reservation for both myself, and my daughter. We both wanted pedicures, and she was also getting a manicure. When we came in they separated us even after we both asked to sit together. The whole point of going together was to sit and chat. Second thing is that neither of us were offered a drink. We both sat there while the people around us were shown a menu of the drinks they offered. We compared notes after the service. One of the reasons my daughter chose this location was the drink menu, and reviews. This is my second time to this salon, and the first time I was not overly impressed with the pedicure service. This time the person didn't ask what I thought about the water temperature which wasn't even lukewarm. By the end of the experience the water was COLD, & I let her know several times. The massage that comes with the OVERPRICED pedicure was weak! I liked the color of the nail polish, but I did choose it. Anyways I won't be back for the horrible service. I would rather drive out of my way 20 miles to my spot that has excellent service. read more

This place is literally going to become my second home from now on. The salon has a wide variety of both regular and gel polish. But enough about that... they serve wine here ! And your first drink Is complementary. Yes, you read that correctly .. free! You can choose from a mimosa, white wine, red wine, or champagne. But wait! There's more! If you ask for another glass they only charge you $2 for that one! If you're not a wino like I am you can choose water, juice, or soda for your complimentary drink. I was so excited about this lovely place that I forgot to take pictures. I chose a beautiful yellow color for my toes. I would share a picture but... feet are gross. I've been coming here for three years now and I normally get my nails done by Emily. I got an SNS set by Emily last Tuesday and my experience and service was HORRIBLE. Emily normally does great work but is ALWAYS rude. Last week she rushed through my appointment and half assed my nails. I am now back a week later having a hard time with the receptionist Lee who is not at all being helpful has an attitude about resolving the issue. Not only is Emily being rude while fixing my nails that are already chipped with two that came completely off, the color does not match and the cracks were not repaired. Tony, a male nail tech goes to ask me if the color is close and I say no and him and Emily start laughing about it. This is ridiculous. I've been going to Herbal Nails across the valley for over a year but they lost a customer and all of the recommendations I've given. Tracy is a terrible technician and I highly recommend asking for a new one if you get her! She attempted to remove my old SNS by chipping it away then replacing it with new powder instead of just soaking it off (pure laziness). Aside from that she did not even out my nail lengths like I requested several times. This picture is exactly how she dipped my nails, uneven and misshaped. Due to the poor service I was given I skipped out on SnS and the pedicure leaving as is and saving my money on quality work. So with that being said don't get your nails done here!! Don't go here. Save your time. Went in yesterday and requested acrylic coffin with design. Showed the manager a picture and she said David can do that. I told him before he started that if he couldn't do it or didn't have the right color to not even start and do something else. He assured me he could, so I let him start. He pulled out neon colors so I told him I didn't want neon I wanted pastel since my job doesn't allow neon. He said "don't not worry this color will turn out the way it is in the picture". I trusted him. One of the colors wouldn't stick so he kept getting new jars until 5 tries later the last one finally stuck. I let him continue and didn't want to judge unfinished work. Once we got to filing down the acrylics the color that initially wouldn't stick, broke off and wouldn't dry, so he re-did those nails used a gel color and painted the design instead. At the end he didn't ask and just started putting holographic glitter on which I didn't ask for, I told him I wasn't feeling it but he continued to do it. After he was done I asked him to take it off because it's not what I asked for, so he did, with an attitude. I said thanks and he ignored me. He filed uneven so I asked they lady at the cash register for a file so I could do it myself. This took 2h and 65$. I had to get to work, paid and left. Hours later the color was still neon, which I didn't ask for. Today I went in and asked them to remove the nails and give me a refund. They refused a refund and said they can fix it and they would let their best nail technician fix it. I didn't want that because at this point they lost my trust. They still refused, so I had no choice unless I wanted to loose 65$ and a long drive. Long story short Angel was nice and communicative, but did a subpar job. Uneven nails, uneven ombré color, cut skin with bleeding, rushed towards the end. None of their technicians have clean tools or wash their hands before they start. They are nice and It looks fancy, but that's it. I paid less in NYC and LA with professional work and better energy. This was the Last time I'm letting anyone in Arizona do my nails. I'm going somewhere else to get them removed. This seems to be an issue here in Arizona as this was the second salon that left me feeling like I got ripped off. Not cool. read more

I am a loyal customer at herbal nails Arcadia and I have had nothing but positive experiences prior to today. I never thought I would be writing a negative review about herbal nails Arcadia but I am disappointed with how my appointment went this morning. My nail tech was not only rude but careless. I usually get a full set of SNS. In the past when I have come in for a new set the nail techs I have had always soak off the previous set with acetone. The nail tech I had today pried off my nails using nail pliers and a nail tip! While she did this she ripped off literally half of my thumb nail. I was bleeding profusely and wincing and the nail tech not only did not apologize... she acted as if nothing had happened. I was confused as to how someone could cause someone pain and not even apologize. She then continued to glue a tip over my raw bleeding finger tip and then proceed with the nail powder and finished with putting acetone and nail oil on my bare flesh. This wasn't the only problem with Lynn today she completely ignored the design I asked for. I showed Lynn the design I wanted before she started and she said she would be able to do it. When it came time to do the design on my ring finger she didn't. She did the whole nail white and then realized too late and said " oops next time". When I was done I payed for my nails and tipped Lynn despite her carelessness and unapologetic behavior. I asked for the owners number and was given an email with a late "I'm sorry your unhappy with your nails" from the girl working the front desk. I went in to get a gel mani/pedi a few weeks ago and my gel nails have not even chipped AT ALL (disclaimer: every place I used to go to previously would leave my nails chipped a week or so after going). I am a consistent customer at the Herbal Nails off of Scottsdale and Lincoln so thought I would try to one in Arcadia and was extremely disappointed. I got the $43 dollar pedicure. The gentleman who did my pedicure failed to file my nails and cut my cuticles, basically leaving them looking how they did when I came in. My massages lasted maybe two minutes each. For a pedicure that says on the menu "40 minutes" mine maybe lasted 18-20 minutes. If you have the opportunity to go to the one in Scottsdale, do it. Severely disappointing. I have been here before and been satisfied with the quality of the service. However today, whomever was my nail technician did a lousy job on my hands. This is bothersome for a variety of reasons. 1. They charge way too much in my opinion for work that is just satisfactory at best. 2. No effort was made to correct the poor workmanship. 3. But perhaps the most unforgivable thing I suffered, was the feeling that none of it mattered. I absolutely adored the atmosphere and way it was styled on the inside. The woman behind the counter was very polite and friendly. I'm in love with my nails overall. My nail tech, Bin (I believe that's what his name was), nicked my fingers a few times with one of the tools but it was manageable. Just went in to get a pedicure and had a great experience. Words to the wise - make an appointment! I didn't and I waited about 20 minutes which was completely my fault. I sat down to have a pedicure and the technician immediately noticed that I kept my toe nails on for way to long. He was honest and transparent - don't get polish. As hard as that was - I took his advice (I don't want my toenails falling off!). Voo you rock - I'm so thankful for your advice and will be back to schedule an apt with you and get polish! My friend and I just left herbal nails. I had a very great experience today. David did my acrylic nails and Amy did my toes. David a great job giving me the shape I wanted exactly which since I'm incredibly picky, isn't always easy. My friend had a slight issue with her nails due to a miss communication but Beana, the manager said she would be happy to fix anything she may need because she wants to see us happy. She was very sweet and is running a great shop!! Amy did my toes and was speedy and did them well. The shop looks super fancy and has the cutest decor. It's clean and tidy as well. I've been here over a dozen times now. I've docked them stars because of the inconsistent quality I get when I go in for SNS. I've left before with PHENOMENAL nails and other times, they've looked terrible; enough that I've had people make comment on my nails. My schedule is just way too busy to have to sit for another hour or come back the next day to have them redone. I've noticed when I go in with friends my service is worse than when I go alone but I'm not sure if that actually makes a difference or if it's a coincidence. This last time, the guy doing my nails was rushing so much he left them bumpy and bubbly. He also didn't file them down shorter like I had asked. The very second he put the top coat on he said "ok thank you" and ran over to give someone a pedi. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to let them dry, get up and go or what I was supposed to do so I sat there... This same guy however had done my nails before and they were amazing. Like I said, inconsistent. after only 2 days I have already had my nails crack in half on a few a so have the friends who came with me that same day. For $50 for SNS and only MAYBE leaving with quality nails, I don't think I will be going here anymore. read more

Everyone I know RAVED about this place, so I had to try it. I was interested in getting the nail powder instead of the polish as it was recommended by a friend that kept saying they were great and that she loved the powder. Upon arrival, didn't really get a warm welcome. I asked about the nail powder but really didn't get an answer about it and the greeter went to see how long I would have to wait. I just picked doing a basic manicure as I wasn't given any options when I came in. I waited about 15 minutes and it wasn't really busy there in the first place. The greeter asked if I wanted healthy gel...umm nothing really "healthy" about using gel. I said no, and kinda felt like she snobbed me for not wanting it. My nail technician maybe had said two sentences to me while doing my nails. She spoke to the other nail technician, on her earphone mic and several technicians gathered around the technician next to her and just hanged out! Just a very unprofessional atmosphere and staff. Glad I didn't spend the money I was going to. Unimpressed even with the nice setup. I would say keep looking for another place to get your nails done. read more

Very disappointed that the woman I got started removing my nails with a nail tip and because my acrylic nails were thick it was so painful!! She slipped on my index finger slicing into my skin under my nail (leaving an open cut) and then was sawing into my thumb nail creating the worst hang nail ever and I said a couple times it hurt. Instead of stopping and using the dremmel or soaking the nails off my already thin nails she kept trying and then another girl came over with nail clippers for my other hand. I got so tense and nervous for what more pain was next I asked them to stop and said I will go somewhere else this is painful and walked out. Pro tip: Go to KENZIES NAILS up the street it's like 4 mins away from here and they were super gentle, very friendly, and affordable! Most importantly they didn't cause pain and they were very nice to talk to. read more

This salon is excellent! You walk in and it's beautiful, you are greeted right away with friendly smiles. I was immediately sat down with Helen. I've been here two times now with no wait . I have had a manicure and pedicure. This time I had a healthier gel coat and they came out absolutely beautiful both times. I'll share a picture of my nails that have the SNS gel coat which is a healthier alternative to traditional acrylics. Helen did my nails she's very detailed and did an awesome job I will ask for her again. My husband was waiting they even gave him a beer as he waited he was very relaxed and we really do appreciate great customer service so I think you should come visit and you won't be disappointed. read more

I have come in 3 times between March and June. The first time I was thrilled with both my mani and pedi. I did SS nails and a number 9 pedicure. Everything was great. They did both at the same time so I was in an out. Everyone was friendly, expect I think the manager brought her little white dog in and it tried to bite me three times. 4.5 stars I went back for a number 10 pedicure and a gel polish manicure. I was disappointed with the manicure. My nails were done sloppily and there were air bubbles in a few of them. My toes were horrible however. I had major ingrown problems after, and he paint wasn't put on evenly. It pooled near the cuticle area I guess you would call it, and was uneven and done carelessly. Other than talking to me for a moment about my tattoos and how colorful I was, they talked in Vietnamese as they did my mani and pedi at the same time and then got up and walked away to cue they were done. I should have complained, but I didn't. 1 Star I came back for a third time because I was hoping the second was a fluke. I had techs who I hadn't used before. I had a 330 appointment, they didn't start working on me until 350. I did gel nails and a number 10 pedicure. They did the manicure first then the pedicure so with the initial wait, it felt like it took forever. The manicure was better than before but still a bit sloppy for my taste. The pedicure was much better than the first time, on the nail part, but she walked away when she was finished and I had polish all over one of my big toes. I'm pretty sloppy when I paint, and that's why I get them done professionally. No one was overly friendly this time either. Politer than the second time though. 1.5 stars Average that out and you get 2.3333 average. Needless to say, I won't try them a fourth time. I guess the first time was a fluke. read more

My friend and I were going on vacation and wanted fancy nails. I showed David a picture, I wanted mine with a sparkly pineapple and Tiffany blue tips, and he was able to recreate it flawlessly! My friend however had a different experience and in the end was unhappy with the results. After sleeping on it, we went back in to speak with them and have them redone. Savanna at the front desk was very professional, listened to what happened and had us sit down immediately to have them redone. She never made us feel bad, she only wanted to make us satisfied. Her excellent customer service skills and the great nail artists they have there are what makes this one of the best nails salons in Arcadia. The customer service is good for the most part, clean location, they serve wine and refreshments. I've had to come back for a redo on SNS they wanted to charge me, that was out of the question I did not pay for my redo. Then the second time they chipped and I didn't have time to come back. Third time the color looked nothing like the color on the fake nail sample. They are 0/3, I will not be returning. I told the lady and showed her how the one they had didn't have silver glitter it was all red. (I'm not a fan of silver glitter at all) she said they sometimes come different per package. That's not good enough for customer service to me. I had two nails that were not the same link so I said make them all short and same length versus keep the others long have them grow together I'll deal with short nails. Well none of the shapes are the same or lengths so it was pointless. All nail salons and techs are not made the same unfortunately. I really wanted to like this place it's super close to my house, they are kind, and it's clean. But quality of your product is #1 priority for me. I stumbled up this place by chance and after my first visit I thought I was hooked! Without asking, they did nails /toes at the same time. The owner told me if you have an appointment that's standard (it never happened again after first time when I did have appointment). On top of all this, they offer beer/wine! I also like you can just get a gel polish change without a manicure, saving time and money. Second time, I just wanted a gel polish change so I was confused why the tech was seemingly giving me a manicure. When I said something they stopped and when I was paying they tried to charge me for that. They also said they could only take cash that day. I didn't have cash but left to get cash and come back. My third and final time I made appointments for me and my two daughters. They didn't have enough workers so my daughters shared a lady. When the bill came they charged me an extra $15 dollars for an "extra service" fee (I guess since the tech did both my girls even though I had appointments??). I paid it because I just wanted to get out of there but I wish I wouldn't have. Check your bill when leaving and don't expect any consistency. read more

Helen is awesome! Best pedicures and great service. It's clean and conveniently located in my neighborhood. They truly do a great job! It's worth trying them out. I've only been to this location but I believe they have a few others throughout valley. Might need an appointment as sometimes it can be busy- walk-ins aren't always available. read more

Their Scottsdale location is 1000x better. I got a gel manicure and obviously they try to persuade you to do SNS, which I find slightly bothersome because one should not question which services you want. I got the gel manicure and my nails are uneven, not the same shape and the gel is not evenly coated on my nails. As for my toes, they forgot I asked for a pedicure (which is fine) but then I waited for 15 minutes to get a pedicure when I scheduled this appointment a day in advance. The pedicure was fine, but I had to correct the woman doing my toes to remove the huge chunk of fuzz that came off the tip of the polish brush onto my nail.
