    Double cheeseburger

I've been trying to get around to the smash burger joints in the Albany area and Herbie's is definitely one of my faves so far! I liked the toppings of the double cheeseburger and it was yummy without being too soggy! I thought their fries were good and crispy too. I've heard good things about their shakes and opted to try the vegan version with tahini/oat milk base since I was curious and it was so good!! Loved pairing it with the fries too. Overall the service was fast and the restaurant itself was fun and retro. If you have a smash burger craving, I'd recommend trying out herbie's

I've visited this spot twice and it has such a welcoming and fun vibe to it. I love the bold yellow and pink colors as it adds a retro aesthetic. The single cheeseburger was absolutely juicy and amazing. The pickles added a great refreshing touch. The regular fries are also amazing and the employees were super sweet to help us upgrade our large regular to the loaded fries. The shakes were nice and thick/creamy. Definitely check this place out, you will definitely enjoy your experience!

This joint is one of the few places that knows how to cook a proper well done burger. It stays juicy and flavorful. The double burger is the perfect burger to bun etc ratio. Herbies a cute little space, it gives retro vibes. The staff are relatively friendly, and the food usually comes out within a reasonable time (no more than 15-20 on a busy day) forgot to mention THE BANANA SHAKE IS BETTER THAN CRA*K... not that I would know what cra*k is like, but I just know it would be much better. Glad to have this local chain as part of the capital region. This is a chain I want to be gatekept

Stopped by Herbie because i was in the area and was hungry. They have Double and single cheeseburgers and double and single vegan burgers. They also have fries that can be loaded with cheese sauce, "needy sauce" and caramelized onions. To drink They have both regular and vegan vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry shakes. I only got a cheeseburger this order. It was a simple smashed burger with their signature sauce, lettuce, and tomato. The ordering process was very quick because the place was fairly empty. I maybe waited 5 minutes. The staff was quick and efficient. I ate my burger away from the store. It was alright. It was a little mushy and the flavor wasn't heavy. I wish there was more of a seasoned burger flavor but that wasn't the case. I dont live nearby so I probably won't get to it again to give it another try but hopefully others enjoy it.

Ordered pick up through Mealeo app. Great local delivery and pick up ordering app. 10 minutes later arrive and order is just finishing up. Burger was fresh and tasty as well as the fries and shake. Great little place few blocks walk. Perfect to satiate that burger urge or hunger pang.

Fabulous flavor, great size for the price, and will return. Strolling northbound on Lark St an inviting aroma lingered from a corner restaurant: the sincere smell of seared beef; an often familiar smell on warm summer days. I headed into Herbie's Burgers to be greeted by a retro vibe of wall posters and seating. Recognizing that it was a smash burger establishment I ordered the double cheeseburger, a customary practice. The double cheeseburger comes with the works: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and Herbie sauce- but I felt the need to experience the flavors of the patties, since they were locally sourced and grass-fed so I forwent the L and T, though I did want the acidity of the P and the enthusiast in me supports O as a part of the "quintessential cheese burger." I was floored by the flavor!! Initially I just wanted to try a bite and enjoy the rest at home, but I just had to have another bite- and another- and then eventually just finished the whole scrumptious burger. Brilliant flavor, with a seasoned sear from the griddle, perfectly melted cheese, and the P and O were appropriate accoutrements as opposed to commanding a presence in the burger. The soft bun was not bready nor imposing either. A wonderful burger joint that I will be frequenting!

This place came up with great reviews, albeit only a couple so far, and we decided to check it out. We drove to the location, which had limited street parking, but we were able to find a spot using my parallel parking skills, then we headed inside. It was a small place, with 2 tables that each sat 4. The TV was on, and we chatted with the guy on the counter who shared a menu with us. In the end we settled for a traditional cheese and pepperoni pizza. No one was using the tables, and we decided to eat in rather than head back to our hotel. We chatted and waited for our pizza, which was done quick and was delicious! Everything you could want from a thin new york style pizza. Good amount of cheese, charred pepperoni, not overcooked or burnt, the crust was soft and delicious. The service was awesome. Every worker we spoke to was nice and personable, without being annoying, over the top or in the way. We were offered silverware and plates, and enjoyed our pizza, before needing a box despite it being so good. I would definitely consider heading back here the next time i'm in Albany, great food AND great service at a reasonable price, what more could you want?

They also provided a generous portion of of chips as a side. I was less happy with the beer pour for my two IPAs. I ordered a Fiddlehead and a Dogfish IPA and both had an inch of foam. Aside from the beer pours, I would recommend this place for a burger.

For context, I rate products and businesses on a simple scale: 5 stars means I love it, 4 stars…read moremeans I like it, 3 stars is okay, 2 stars means I didn't like it, and 1 star means I hated it or think it's unsafe. This was my first time at Beer Bones Bar and Grill. We went as a group of six and made a 6pm reservation, which turned out to be a good call because the place filled up quickly. It's on the smaller side and definitely gets busy. One thing to note, there is a 3% upcharge if you pay by credit card. It's posted on the door, but easy to miss if you're not looking for it. We started with pretzels and mozzarella sticks, both were very good. From there, it's clear wings are a big focus here. They have a ton of sauce options. We ordered a wing platter and tried Stebo, garlic parm, moonshine, and bourbon BBQ. The Stebo was the clear favorite for everyone, with the bourbon BBQ as my personal second. I'd definitely be interested in trying their honey BBQ next time. The wings themselves were excellent, large, meaty, crispy, and very flavorful. I'm somewhat of a wing aficionado, and these absolutely delivered. One thing that really stood out was the generous portion of celery, carrots, and blue cheese. Most places treat that as an afterthought, but not here. Everything was fresh and plentiful, which was a nice change. Bravo on that. For entrees, we were told they were out of string fries and corned beef, but pastrami was available as a substitute for Reubens. Not a big deal for our group. I ordered a cheeseburger, no tomato or onion, add lettuce, with steak fries, and asked for it well done. Others at the table ordered a Feener burger, another cheeseburger, mac and cheese, tater tots, a slider, and a Nashville hot chicken wrap. The one issue was that our waiter didn't write anything down, which made us all a little skeptical. Unfortunately, that concern turned out to be valid. One burger came out without cheese, and they were out of American, so it had to be switched to cheddar. My order came out with tomato and onion, no lettuce, and waffle fries instead of steak fries. To their credit, everything was corrected quickly. The runner brought out lettuce right away and swapped the fries, mentioning steak fries take a little longer, but they came out pretty fast. My burger itself was what I'd call medium rare rather than well done, but I was hungry and didn't send it back. Despite the mix-ups, the food across the board was very good, and the portions were large. I was full and couldn't even finish my fries, which almost never happens. Service overall was a mixed bag. The waiter was friendly and acknowledged the mistakes upfront, which I appreciated. Other staff checked in on us, refilled drinks, and made sure we had napkins and wet wipes for the wings. Once the errors were announced , they were handled quickly and without any issue. I really think if the order had been written down, this could have easily been a 5 star visit. I'll definitely be back, the wings alone are worth it, and the staff did a good job recovering from the mistakes. Next time, if we're a larger group again, I might suggest writing the order down just to avoid the same issues.

To explain, I ordered a double cheeseburger with cheese fries and it was delicious. To breakdown, the cheeseburger was excellent. The meat was juicy and tender with top tier flavor. Likewise, the sauce on the burger was sweet and tangy which elevated the flavor. Similarly, the potato bun was fresh and tasty, but the bottom of it was a bit soggy. It was simply a great burger. In similar fashion, the cheese fries were pretty good. To make clear, the fries were hot, crispy, and flavorful. Furthermore, the cheese was great and really made these fries special. I'm gluten-free, so I choose not to have the potato bun, which is a bummer because it looked amazing. My only gripe is the upcharge for a gluten-free bun. I completely understand paying a bit more for specialty products, but a $3 add-on felt a little steep. It actually kept me from ordering my own burger this time, so I just snagged a bite of my partner's (which was excellent). **I have had the gluten free option before and it was good, but udi's isn't my favorite (doesn't have very clean ingredients).
