We've been regular customers for a while because the chicken is consistently good, but after this experience, we won't be returning. Our group ordered several chicken combos, which include refillable sides (rice, salad, French fries, and vegetables), while the chicken itself is not refillable. From the start, the service was disorganized. We had multiple servers, yet they repeatedly forgot items. Some people in our group waited a long time for their vegetables, while others had to ask multiple times before receiving their French fries. It honestly felt as though the staff was doing everything possible to avoid bringing guests everything that was included with the meal. My husband and I requested one refill of rice. Since we didn't finish it, we simply asked for the remaining rice we had already been served to be packed to go. The server took the plate but never returned with it in a to-go container. When we asked about it, another server accused us of trying to get an extra refill, claiming we had already reached the refill limit. We explained several times that we were not asking for another refill we only wanted the rice we had already been served packed to go. Despite that, he continued insisting we were trying to get more than we were entitled to. What made the situation even worse was his dismissive response of "whatever" after we tried to explain the misunderstanding. Being treated as though we were trying to take advantage of the restaurant was frustrating and completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, this wasn't completely out of character. Most of the servers have consistently come across as rude during our previous visits. The owner, on the other hand, has always been friendly and does a good job connecting with customers. However, this time he was only a few feet away, appeared aware of what was happening, and never stepped in to address the situation or make things right. Allowing staff to treat customers this way reflects poorly on the restaurant. My advice to anyone dining here is to pay close attention to the sides that come with your meal and make sure you receive everything you're entitled to. We left feeling that the restaurant advertises refillable sides but does everything possible to delay or limit them, only to accuse customers of asking for more than they're entitled to. After years of overlooking the rude service because we enjoyed the food, this experience was the final straw. The way we were treated guaranteed that we will never return. read more

I had absolutely no idea what to expect when my dear friend/brother Giuseppe and his son told me to be at Hercules Churrasqueria at 7:30 pm precisely 9 hours before I was supposed to get to LaGuardia airport pre dawn. Wow! Amazing! Mind blowing! Seriously delicious! Beautiful seasoning! Everything from A to Z- from the entry where the beautiful flowers and decor were going up for Halloween and the fall to the warm welcome from the very sweet owner Nelson and his stellar team to the extraordinary food- each item better than the last to the very attentive and love love love in the service - was spectacular!! I felt like Hercules after - great food, real food, quality fare, energizing, filling and so tasty. The 6 of us ordered a ton I mean a mega ton of food! The garlic shrimp was to die for. The sauce was just so good. The meats per the guys were marinated, cooked to perfection.( photos). Our server Rosie was fun and took great care of all of us. The sangria kept coming. Before we realized, it had been a 150 minutes of an authentic Portuguese & El Salvadoran feast right here on Hempstead Tpke in West Hempstead. I have been to Fogo de Chao and other steakhouses. Mannn this was one of the worst dining experiences Ive had. Waited about 2 hours at the table and decided to leave bc i couldn't wait no more. We were a party of 4 and bigger parties that arrived and ordered after us got their food before we did. Let me also add, they brought us the wrong food several times while we were waiting for our actual food. They even brought over someone else's appetizers. Also, we had to chase down the waiter constantly for water and other drinks. There was no transparency on what happened with our food exactly but I think he forgot to put in the order or something. This place was also type janky, the floors were slippery and not much of an atmosphere honestly. I'm good on this place. I was never going to come but here but my mom wanted to check it out since it was the new spot in town and I'm mad we did. My wife and I love this place. From the time we enter the manager and staff always welcome us with open arms. They are also very sweet to our one year old son and make us feel at home. The place is clean and cozy. As we are seated and prepare to order our dinner, the waiters (yes waiters) serve hot bread and a nice house salad. The staff works together and there is great team work. The manager also comes and checks on us from time to time. Now, back to the food. We love to order their skirt steak and sirloin it's our favorite. I recently had their ribs which is so delicious (see pic). They also have some great deserts for the sweet tooth in you. Lastly, I couldn't complete this post without shouting out their house sangria which is just right! We look forward to going back next time and trying out their other dishes. Food was wonderful. The staff was wonderful. We ordered the skirt steak, the pork ribs, turkey bacon, and the whole chicken, everything was pretty delicious, and cooked really well ( full of flavor). The beans and tostones that came with our order were a fantastic addition. We shared the tres leches and the flan. Both were ON POINT, not overly sweet and perfect texture (this is coming from someone who is very picky about her Hispanic desserts).
