(1 bedroom Set, living room, misc small furniture, and a bunch of boxes) Day of job, 3 guys showed up- one driver and two smaller 18 year olds, fresh out of High school and new to the job. Nice guys but VERY slow and really struggled with larger items. 2 boys still struggled with the work of one experienced mover. My 4 hr job turned into a 13 hour job and was charged $125 an hour for the third person when I was quoted 2. AND charged for the time they left for dinner and smoke breaks! Also, they require payment in cash or certified funds before they would unload everything. When I refused to pay, they stopped unloading we had to get the police involved. I have had a similar experience as another reviewer. Very nice movers. Requested two individuals and they didn't send the movers I requested, even though they said they would. They damaged two legs on my dining room table and one was splintered off. Was assured I would be taken care of and that JR could make it look like new. Nine days later and nobody has contacting me back. Called JR first and no response so called Jeff Williams, Operations Manager. Always on the phone or away from office. Gentlemen on phone said he was sorry but he couldn't help me because it wasn't his fault. That is true, but what kind of customer service dialog is that! COMPLAINT MOVERS DID NOT SHOW UP TWO DAYS IN A ROW!!!!! Thursday, 07-28-16 between noon and 5:00pm was our scheduled move. After many phone calls to them throughout that window of time (with many lies that they would be on their way 'in an hour')they finally said they would not be able to come that day but they would come the next day in the noon to 5:00pm window. We said that we needed to me first on their list since we had waited hours for them on our scheduled day. a manager promised we would have a morning move. Friday, 07-29-16 we started calling about 7:30am to make sure our move was dispatched for that morning. We were informed they did not have us on the books for that day. Then they said there was NO way they could move us that morning but would get to us in the noon to 5:00pm window. Once again we waited for hours with many calls made and was lied to again and again that someone would be on their way 'in an hour'...Finally another NO SHOW!! We cancelled the move with them and told them they would be reported. When we called they wanted to know if we had a discount. Yes, we had bought a Groupon. It seemed to me that we kept getting bumped on the list because they were not going to make as much money off of our job as they would another. Also, it was an upstairs apartment with some solid wood furniture. All of this was discussed at the time we booked the move. We then scheduled a Monday morning move with Two Men and a Truck. This company is filled with crooks at the highest levels. Their movers broke several expensive furniture items of ours, and the local managers were very apologetic and offered to help. But as it got passed up the line to higher management they called us and were extremely rude and condescending and denied the claim based on a technicality in our paperwork. The supervisor "J.R." in particular said that the movers and local management are "so far down the totem pole that what they say is pretty much meaningless." My husband hired Here to There Movers to unload our moving truck into our new house. James, Thomas A., and Devante did an AMAZING job! They were there on time and were friendly, professional, QUICK, and unloaded a whole antique dining room set, bedroom set, and a dozen large boxes of books (we messed up and bought boxes that were too big, so they were unfortunately super heavy) among other things safely and without complaint. They put everything exactly where and how we wanted it, so we didn't have to move anything ourselves afterwards. Nothing was damaged! And they completed the move within the time estimated and only charged us for the actual time it took, which amounted to... $173 for 45 minutes. We were HAPPY to pay that for the speedy and careful job they did--they didn't waste our time or theirs, like some movers might. We're so glad they could fit us into the schedule and save us the time, energy, and several days of sore muscles it would have cost to do it ourselves. We definitely recommend them and would hire them again in a snap! read more

I booked this company and was scheduled to move on 6/12. I called them back to see if we could move the day to 6/11. I was told yes we can get you in from 12-5. I received a call on 6/10 to confirm things were good to go on 6/11. At 2pm I received another call from JR telling me that my rate would changed to over $300 an hour after 8pm because his crew could not get there until 5pm and over time starts at 8pm. Long story short I asked to speak with the owner and JR's reply to me was he is in Cabo and probably won't return your call for over a week. At this point I am very upset. JR proceeds to tell me all money is not good money and that he was requiring cash because I was upset and he needed to make sure his people got paid. After 10 minutes of going back and forth he cancelled my movers. He was completely rude to me and I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

. My bedroom furniture was dropped down the stairs breaking the leg off my armoire dresser and putting a hole in the wall at my old apartment. My dresser no longer will stand. My couch now has a piece of wood sticking through the back of the couch from being shoved in the truck. They dropped all of my kitchen plates and bowls leaving them in pieces. My bed frame has missing pieces and the list goes on. Once the crew was done we questioned the breakdown of the bill. A manager would not answer so the crew left and told us they had our credit card on file and they would be in contact in the morning. The manager called 30 minutes later cussing me and David out, threatening us that he knew the address to MY new apartment and would be standing outside with a sign stating my name and that I screw people over (he used other language that I won't share) He threatened court...all over asking for my items to be fixed and why the bill was what it was. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They are the most horrid company I have EVER come across in my life. NO JOKE! I booked them 3 weeks ago. They showed up at the house on time. They even called to let us know they were on the way. They parked their very large truck down the street and came in the house. Husband showed them everything that needed to be moved. They went to the Rick and moved it in front of our house. They got out one ramp and started to get out the other ramp but neighbor had her car parked in the way. We tried to wake her up to move it but she didnt wake up. It started raining (no thunder or lightening) Guys said they had to go back and get smaller truck. THEY NEVER CAME BACK. I FINALLY get a phone call from them and the lady refused to tell me why they were not coming back and when I got upset demanding to know why and demanding to talk to manager...she hung up on me! I did not cuss was just heated and demanding answers. I called back and Manger was rude and said they didn't want to come back because we have pet smell and that they went to a different job but they would schedule me for a different day!!!! So the pet smell is okay on a different day just not today?!? Every excuse he tried I proved to him why he was wrong. They were efficient, took good care of our belongings, and completed our move by 1230, despite it being 90+ degrees out. We were super surprised at how smoothly it went. Do not use this company! I purchased a Groupon to move my daughter, a small one bedroom apartment. I paid $99 and there was no explanation on the groupon. I purchased because a friend recently used them and said it's for a 2 hour move. We we scheduled they did not explain anything further and gave us a window of 12-5pm which was not very convenient but we worked with it. At 10:30 they tried to come and we were at the new place signing and getting keys. They were very rude about having to wait around for us. At noon they came and stated telling us that we would have to pay them cash for the difference. When I asked what difference was they put me in with their manager. He was totally hateful and rude. Told me that since the Groupon was vague he could charge me whatever he wanted technically. He hung up on me twice and told his movers to leave us. I never yelled, cussed or said anything inappropriate. He told me that the money he's making from this move wasn't worth dealing with. He said I was a terrible customer for asking questions after booking and that it's my fault I didn't ask more in the beginning. I literally cried and begged the movers not to leave us on moving day with no help and they turned their backs on me and ignored me. I was pleading with them, not being mean and they just walked away. I've never been so outraged in my life by a group of people who literally do not care! I'm a realtor and own a property management company and I will make sure to inform every client I have not to use this company. My daughter had to move today and had no way to do so. The two stars are not for the actual movers. Nice guys. Prompt and courteous. The D rating is for despicable costs. Who could guess that sparse furnishings for a one bedroom 1 BR apartment would be a total of $543 moving from the Westside to Castleton. I also made the mistake of purchasing a $200 Groupon, thinking that the additional charge would maybe be $150-but there are added costs and listen clearly when they are told to you bc there will be a $45 fuel charge (10%) a mileage charge of $78 a truck charge of $80 plus the 3 hours of labor at $99 per hour. There are better choices out there. Our other son moved into a 4 BR home for less than that using a different but very professional company. read more

It is hard to imagine a worse moving experience than the one I had with Here2There movers this past summer. Mind you, I have never hired a moving company before this one, but I suspect that my expectations for communication, professionalism, and customer service were reasonable. Allow me to explain. Our offer on a house had been accepted and with our 4 kids in tow, I knew we would need some help moving. In my hunt for a company to help us out, I came across Here2There on Groupon. I purchased the groupon, scheduled a truck and movers for the Friday afternoon of our closing date, and patted myself on the back for being so pro-active. We found a babysitter and packed all of our things into boxes prior to their scheduled arrival. We were 100% ready for them. When the day of our move came, the movers never showed up. We had scheduled for them to arrive by 3pm, which I was assured by their office personel would not be a problem because they had "an easy day" before us. At 4pm I called to inquire about their whereabouts, and was told to wait. At 5pm I called back to do the same and was told once again to wait. At 6pm I called again and this time was told that it wasn't unusual for a truck to be late and that I should only worry if it hit 7pm. Still no movers. So 4 hours after they were supposed to have arrived I call once more and only now did someone have the courtesy to call the movers and find something out. I received a phone call back 30 minutes later saying the manager would give me a call soon. It was 8:30pm before I received that call and kid you not, he said "we've been at you apartment for an hour, but you were not there, so they left." I had been sitting in my apartment since 2pm, so I told him how wrong he was. In a moment of pure audacity, the guy says "well, it's late and my guys are tired. Is it a long move?" He then said he would call me back. I had heard nothing by 10pm so I called the main office and lost my mind. The guy on duty said he was sorry for my trouble, that he would send someone out the next day and he said he would "go to bat" for me on a discount. To make a long and awful story short, the movers were an hour and a half late, they showed up with one less guy than I ordered, then 2 hours later 2 more guys showed up. They charged me for the guy I didn't order and the amazing discount I received? 10%. Beyond that, they broke some of my stuff and after filing a claim with them I still have not received the reimbursement for those items. Save yourself some trouble and find someone better. read more

The movers arrived on-time, but as they were moving my things, they repeated stated, "You're gonna have to sign a waiver because we can't be responsible if something breaks." Worst movers ever! I have used movers before and wouldn't recommend these to no one. 1. It took them over 4 hrs to move only 2 bedrooms. No living room, no kitchen, no washer and dryer. 2. After taking half of my canopy bed apart they stopped and refused to take the rest part or move it. I had to find someone to go back to old apartment to take bed apart and move it. 3. They told me all they do is move furniture so therefore my grandbaby bed is in peices in her cliset. They didn't put it back together. 4. Rats-Rats-Rats!!! If I could give -6 stars it would be too much for his outfit. I've tried and tried to communicate with them with phone calls to Jennifer Klein at the office with 4 emails now and only 1 return email. The last 3 for the past 2 months to find out how a 42" TV got lost as well as several items that they just plain stole. When they arrived the workers were Friendly and cool although very lazy. My two sons and I (12 & 14) did 1/2 the work to help ease the $109 per hour that they were trying to earn. We've spoke with JR at the office which was nice enough, but now has decided to move onto there next victim and steal some stuff. Reading reviews apparently I am not there only source as secondary income to these crooks. They must have a back alley flea market that they sell out of because tons of people claim to be missing items. Of all the $2,000 they stole from me from the move did I mention that the trucks were rat infested and we had to throw away tons of food as a result. The drivers even admitted to me and showed me all the turd droppings in the boxes and chew marks. How can they not take ownership of that?? The move was okay. Raymond and Dominic were courteous. However, Raymond was uniformed of the company's insurance policy and provided inaccurate information about it. Before we began the move, he said in the event of any damages he would take pictures (on his tablet-he didn't have one) of it and send them into the office. He also stated the company would come to the home to make any repairs to the damaged furniture. I learned of the actual policy, which stated if I declined their materials I waived my right to a claim; I learned this after the move when I called to speak with a company representative. The other mover, Dominic smelled like marijuana the entire time and wore a ankle monitoring device, which was alarming to say the least. read more

TERRIBLE!!!!!! We set an appointment to have them come out and give us an estimate on moving 2 weeks in advance. I received a confirmation email that the appointment was at 10am. At 10:20 I called to make sure they were still coming, the dispatcher said the person who was coming must have changed the appointment and forgot to let us know. Workers were nice, but dropped many items. My floor incurred many deep scratches due to workers trying to push wood furniture on my wood floor. Here to there movers tried to "fix" my floor, however the fix looked good for a week, then began to smear making it look worse. The owner who applied to fix told me that the patch would be permeant and not smear. Going forward with the claim, the customer service rep told me that at best they could give me a couple hundred dollars and that I would have to pick up the rest of the bill. This would cover 5 percent of the total bill. I am currently going forward with a lawsuit. I would never recommend anyone to hire these "professionals" read more

Be careful with this moving company. I made my move in Indianapolis and it was an atrocious moving experience. They showed up unprepared to make the move (no boxes that were promised, making moving difficult). They also did not have masks or gloves in the middle of this pandemic. They attempted to have me sign the completion form BEFORE THE MOVE. Do not sign if they do the same to you, as you will be liable to whatever time and charges they write down, even if they are lying. They broke and damaged several belongings. After making a claim, they have not responded FOR A MONTH. Here to There Movers is extremely unprofessional. They arrived to our move with no tools to aid in taking apart furniture (which they insisted they needed to do). We had 7 pieces of furniture. They damaged 4 of the 7 pieces of furniture and did damage to our new home. Please be warned, they will not pick up your furniture to move it. They will drag it across the cement to get it to their truck. It will ruin the pieces. They also charged us $200 over what they quoted us. During the move, they were not focused. They even took photos of each other giving our furniture the middle finger and played on their phones. It was so unprofessional. When calling the office to obtain our damage claims and to inquire about a refund for the overcharges, I was told that I was incompetent and did not understand the receipt, and that ultimately they will not be rectifying the situation. We noticed right away damage etc. that I posted about already. On 10/31/19 we finally began moving into our newly built home. My husband had some suspicions about items he could not visibly see in our very large 20x30 unit when we first arrived in 2017, but I suggested he not jump to conclusions (it might be buried in there somewhere). They helped pack and empty out closets as well as move heavy items down three flights of stairs. They were very careful to wrap all the fragile items and handle them very carefully. UNPROFESSIONAL!! Do NOT hire this company. They will SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY! We hired Here to There to move us from a 3 bedroom house to another house. The movers were polite and did fine. BUT! The office staff are con-artist. They tell you over the phone how much it is for the truck rental, how much they charge per hour, and that you have to pay for a minimum of 2 hours. If you tell them you have a groupon then they jack up the price. Our groupon was for $200 dollars off of our service. When the movers were done, they called their manager to confirm the correct amount, which he did and we paid for. The next day they sent us a bill through a TEXT MESSAGE stating that THEY miscalculated and undercharged us, so we owed $200 more than what we agreed to pay. We disputed this of course, just for them to have someone supposedly from their "corporate office" call and THREATEN to sue us (which is against the law) if we didn't pay. So we were all for going to court to battle this out, then before the guy hangs up the phone he says "Well I have your credit card number I can just take the money, your contract states that", and he withdrew the money out of our account. So why even bother calling and threatening to sue us if you were going to take the money anyway?!! These people are unprofessional, ignorant, rude, and can not do simple math. This was the WORST experience and most unprofessional people I have ever spoken with. I do not write reviews but due to this unsavory experience I felt I needed to share to protect others from being scammed. On May 29th, I called and spoke with a representative about scheduling a Sunday move for 3pm. The lady told me they had an opening on Sunday, but they normally on schedule for a block of time 12-5. I informed her of my situation, as I just bought a home and I was to take possession at 5pm. I asked if she could schedule later in the day so I did not have to pay movers to sit around for hours. She said she would ask her supervisor, and I heard her speaking to someone. She returned to the phone and said they would schedule for 3pm. She started entering my info into the computer, and then she told me her computer was frozen. She took my information, said she would call me back to finish the order, but told me my spot had been confirmed. I told her that I saw a coupon on Yelp, which I intended to purchase if they were going to be able to move me in Sunday. She confirmed that they would and that my time slot had been reserved. I bought the coupon. When I did not hear from her after 3 hours, I called the company back and spoke with JR Frief, who claimed to be a supervisor. I informed him I had not heard back from the representative to complete my order and recounted the entire situation. JR stated he would have never allowed to give me a specific time of 3pm and said "it doesn't matter anyway because we are booked on Sunday." I told him I should be one of those reservations as his rep told me my slot had been saved. He said that it wasn't and he was booked. I told him no other day would work due to having to be out of my apartment on that day as well. He asked who the rep was and I told him it was a lady and I did not get her name. He said there were four women that worked that day. I said great, you can talk to each of them and get this issue rectified since there are only 4. He said he wouldn't do that. I then asked for him to refund the coupon for their error and misrepresentation. He again said no. I then became very upset, and he handed the phone to Joshua Baxter, allegedly the owner of the company. Joshua told me to "get it through my thick skull it wasn't gonna happen." He said they will put me on the list for Sunday but if they get there at 7:30pm and work past 8pm they will charge me overtime at $169/hour. It took them 4 hours to load belongings which primarily was all on the first floor and with 3 additional helpers (my family members). Horrible Service, will never hire again! I hired 3 men for a weekday move of my 2BR apartment with a groupon. Though I paid for 3 men, I really only got the service of 2. The 3rd was a new mover who didn't know how to do anything, didnt have a dolly and spent most of the time flirting/casing my home. He ended up having an argument with another one of the movers (on the clock) while they cleaned up their truck(on the clock). I have never had movers stop in the 95% of the way through the move to take their sweet time to tidy up their truck. The damaged my walls, broke furniture and disassembled things then lost the parts leaving them useless. The driver miscalculated my bill and overcharged me and had the NERVE to ask for a tip after I rated the service experience a 2!!! Do not let these guys within one mile of your home. 4 1/2 hours late in arriving. Were told not to take anything out of drawers that they would wrap and carry upright. I was giving a friend of mine a refrigerator and an elliptical that was in our basement as a gift. She found a groupon for this company and decided to use them. I didn't care I just didn't want to move the stuff myself. Well I now care. They basically played ping pong with the refrigerator and damaged the whole stairwell. And now they are refusing to finish the repairs properly. They want to spot paint where the holes have been patched instead of paining the whole stairwell. They said they would either buy a gallon of paint of the color of our choice and not actually paint. Or they would spot paint with the original color.....???? Then they had quoted me 289.00 and tried to charge me $550.00. Once I found out the stole my stuff I called the cops and stop payment in the check. Two months later I check my banking acct and they used my debit card for $287.00. They have an F rating with BBB. I actually called them and they guy said the BBB didn't mean anything and said they were going to keep using my debit card. Needless to say I had to cancel my card which everyone knows can be a hassle. They are on GROUPON and they have 5 stars don't let that fool you.
