WARNING!!! If your looking to find a mover don't use Here To There Movers. They are a bunch of thief's. The stole my medication, my coffee table that was still in the box. Then they had quoted me 289.00 and tried to charge me $550.00. Once I found out the stole my stuff I called the cops and stop payment in the check. Two months later I check my banking acct and they used my debit card for $287.00. They have an F rating with BBB. I actually called them and they guy said the BBB didn't mean anything and said they were going to keep using my debit card. The movers were on time and ready to work! They were able to move my apartment without any complaint or anything. They moved everything in the heat of the day without complaint. They were very kind and handled my things with care. They were nice to my animals even if one was allergic to my cat. The rates were great! I want to give a shout out to TArmstrong and Devin! Movers were rude. 1. before I even signed contract they let me know they work for tips. 2. Left stuff in every room..then was mad when I pointed it out. 3. Was on phone a lot and took a lot of breaks. 4. Threw coats and quilts on garage floor that was packed in boxes. 5. Was mad when they came had to come back for second trip. 6. I was in an urgent need for movers to move out of my 2 bedroom apartment, and was able to secure services with this company with very short notice. On the day of my move, the movers arrived early. They were very efficient, yet careful when packing up my belongings and taking them to their final destination. It took around 3 hours to pack up my things and deliver them (including the commute). I had two movers and was able to save $100 off of my move by using a coupon. Their prices were slightly cheaper than some of their competitors. Overall, i would highly recommend this company if you have a small to medium size move; the movers were prompt, professional, and cautious with my belongings! read more

I would encourage all to select a different moving company! Hidden charges are a legitimate complaint! Movers showed up on time and were courteous. Damage was done to our king size bed headboard because they did not wrap it in the wrap that they charged me for. In moving things out of our master bedroom and son's room, they did significant damage to walls in the hallway, son's room and our stairwell walls. Spoke with the moving manager, Jeff immediately after seeing the damage. He told me he would be in touch about sending someone out to repair the bed and walls(movers had sent him pictures of the bed prior to my call). I texted him for two days before he responded and set up a time for his drywaller to come do repairs to the walls. No repairs to the bed were mentioned and have never happened. Drywaller came and did putty the holes. Next day he came back and sanded it all down making a huge mess that he did not clean up because he "forgot his vacuum" He also asked us to do our own painting to the walls since that was something he didn't do. I have had numerous conversations with Jeff since then and was promised a $70 credit to my over $500 bill (after the Groupon). No credit has been received after a two week wait. Then, the mover crushed the upper left corner of my 65" 4k tv. Rendering it useless. Apologies out the behind. The "Owner" text me a link to file a claim. No one would respond to me. Just via a text app. Then, I was told they weren't going to do anything about it because I signed a "WORMS" form. The mover marked out the top portion and said it didn't apply to me, as I didn't need to pack or to purchase boxes from them. Guess I'll be the first to say that my moving experience with Here To There was absolutely painless!! Ronnie & Roosevelt showed up on time, were courteous, efficient, and fast! I had previously purchased a Groupon for my services & the guys helped me figure out what cost range my move would be before the labor started (I actually had a list of the things that were to be moved from my 2bdr apt to another unit). I hired this company to move me and they didn't explain to my husband about the insurance and told him where to sign so he did. They damaged a $1200 sofa and only paid me $.60 cents per pound. They also broke 2 lamps and scraped paint on my walls. They need to train their employees better. Will never use this company again. read more

As is the case with many other reviews on here, if I could give this service zero stars I would, these guys are nothing more than scam artists. This business quoted a rate of $1,600 for a three bedroom house, without providing any kind of formal or written quote, or moving rates. After arriving three hours late with the wrong size truck, they finally started loading the items. Once we arrived at our final destination with the movers, they presented us with a bill of $5,800 and told us that we needed to pay that bill immediately if they wanted us to unload our items, and if we didn't pay the bill they would hold our items hostage until the bill was paid. Oh and did I mention that this was after already paying them $2,800 the previous day for them to load the items onto the truck. After trying to negotiate a lower bill with the owner, he continually hung up on us and would only say "Bring me cash money" before hanging the phone up five or six times. The owner then told a bold faced lie to us and said the movers were going to a new job and would return with our items in an hour or so. The movers never returned and this company is now holding all of our items hostage until they receive full payment in cash only. It is extremely disconcerting that this business will not accept credit cards or cashiers checks as payment, and is an obvious red flag of their shady business practices. The only way to stop these guys from continuing their scam is to no longer use their services all together, do yourself a favor and hire a reputable mover, you may pay a little more up front but it will save you thousands in the long run, and prevent you from having all of your personal items held hostage by criminals demanding all cash payments. They are SO horrible we've reported them to the BBB. I was yelled at on the phone and she refused to accept my Groupon (when it was already paid for). Then they broke several items and stole ottoman legs from us. When I complained they told me it was my issue. A manager showed up at our house to assess the damage with his fly down. Working with their Customer Service lady was the worst. She promised she would get back and never did. I then went to the CEO and I quote his email when I say the following in response to me asking if he stood by Cindy's actions: "You are clearly making something out of nothing... DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I had an 11am estimate scheduled this morning and they called me at 11am to tell me they were coming from Dayton (over one hour from me) and would be there at 12:30pm. I told them that did not work bc I had a toddler who would be napping then which is why I scheduled for anytime this morning and they booked 11am. What is worse - they confirmed 11am appt. with me on the phone yesterday! Then they called back and said they would schedule me for 2:30pm which I agreed to and that when they came they would talk about restitution for their error. After further discussion they said since I was already planning on using their Amazon deal they couldn't give a further discount. I told them this was unacceptable. Then at 2pm (just 30 min before they were to show up) they called back and said the owner was not interested in my moving job and giving discounts. And he was "firing us". Ha! What a joke....I understand it is summer and they are busy and can do jobs at full price but this is by far the worst service I have ever heard of. This was the best moving company I've ever had. They moved our 2,000 square foot home from Indianapolis to Pittsburgh, including a pit stop at a nearby storage unit. While contracted for 4 movers, 6 showed up within the time window specified making the loading go super fast. The next morning they arrived on time. Throughout they were professional and helpful, with no major breaks or damages to our stuff on either end of the trip. I've had awful experiences with other companies where they are hours late, which is the most frustrating thing since most of us are on a time table. The worse experience. I used the Indianapolis branch. They damaged my washing machine when moving. Mind you it worked perfectly the day before. After the move the machine was linking water. Filed a claim, the repair guy came out stood in the door and said it's a mechanical issue. How can you possibly know without touching it and suggested I call an outside repair company. As if the movers could not have knocked something loose on the inside while transporting it down stairs. I paid good money to get my items safely to the next destination so all I should have had to do is settle into the new place. Now I have to spend more money to fix the washing machine. My appointment was scheduled for an arrival of 8-9a. They were almost an hour late, arriving at 9:45a. Then the quote they gave us they informed us was wrong and it was going to be $150 more (their error). My mom was in charge of arranging the beginning of the move and she was trying to explain to them they were not giving the correct quote. They wanted her to sign off on the paper with the wrong price. She told them no because that's her agreeing to the new quote at the higher rate. She started to sign and by that time, with the discrepancies it was now 10a. Since they charge in 15 minute increments my mom asked them to change the time to 10a. They refused and instead they were rude to her and made her cry and then didn't even tell my mom they were leaving. They literally abandoned the job and then blamed it on my mom not signing. When my mom talked to Joshua (JR) he said that her story isn't what his movers are telling him and told her that maybe they weren't the right movers for the job. They admitted they made a mistake on the original quote but wanted to charge us the new amount. JR said he could send another crew out there but once it's after 8pm, it will be time and a half. Had they showed up on time and not abandoned ship it would never have gone past 8pm to begin with! Both me and my mom took the days off work to coordinate the move. At 1pm I call and speak with Gage who is a little more accommodating and even though it was going to cost me more than the original quote I agreed because I was in a bind. He said he will work with me some and call me back once he gets an new crew together. But 2 hrs later. Nothing. I call AGAIN. Ask for Gage to call me back.... 2 more hours later, they call me and tell me that they couldn't get a crew together and ask if I would still want them to come tomorrow. After reading similar horror stories on here, I'd be pissed if my stuff came damaged so I am not going to proceed. They wasted both our days. My mom was at my storage unit from 8a-2p today. Oh and she had started pulling out my belongings to speed the process so my mother had to pack my unit back up! And now I'm having to spend $73 more for my unit bc I didn't move out on time. And if you don't cancel your Groupon within 3 days, it's only refundable if you write them a letter to explain the situation. Groupon needs to pull their services immediately! read more

I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. The movers did not provide a proper estimate without checking to understand the scope of the job. They showed up over an hour late on the day of the move. They stacked items that should not have been stacked, such as bicycles on top of living room furniture which caused damage to the furniture. They rushed through the job trying to get to another job. The truck looked like the items were literally thrown into it. They scratched several pieces of furniture. We made a claim on one item to replace it, and they fought us against providing compensation, even though they were grossly and willfully negligent in packing the items. Clearly not professional. In May of last year, I used a Groupon coupon to hire Here to There Movers. I was charged over $1500 for the worst - absolute worst - moving experience possible. My instructions were totally ignored so I spent the day moving items that had been placed incorrectly. I carried items that I should never have picked up but there was no other way to complete the move. Things that were to be put in the house were placed in the garage and vice versa. I am a single, 69 year old woman - 5'0" - 105 pounds and I have heart disease. At the end of the day, my physical state was one of total exhaustion which was actually life-threatening and I had to have a heart stent and on July 4 I had two more heart stents placed. This inept, inefficient moving crew almost caused my death. I hired movers so I would be spared the extreme physical labor required to move belongings from their truck into my house and garage. I was promised two trucks and four workers. I received one truck and three workers. A dresser was placed in my garage on end - what were they thinking? There was no way for me to lower it so it was solidly on the garage floor. If I could give this company a -5 rating, I would. And, as someone else mentioned, their travel time rates were outlandish. Do not use this company for your move. You will regret it as I do to this day. My life has been shortened - stents do not last forever and I now have three in my heart. The two trucks and 4 men we hired arrived on time and did a good job of moving our house contents to the two locations we were moving into. After the move, we had agreed (for a price) that they would clear out many items left in our house and garage that were going to be discarded. At this time the movers told us that they also run an auction place through their company and that they could sell some of the items we were giving to Goodwill. We told them we did not want to do that.This is where the problems began. They tried loading a beautiful family heirloom table that we had promised a family member, onto their truck to be discarded. I had to tell them 2 times that it was not to be discarded. In the end, the table ended up missing. When I realized this the next day, I immediately called Here to There Movers and was told they had to check with the drivers. When I didn't get a call back, I called again 6 days later and was told the table had been discarded. I asked that the owner, JR Fries, call me, but he never did. It is our assumption that the movers intentionally took our table so they could put it in their auction store. In fact, I found the identical (perhaps the exact one) table for sale on eBay down in Florida. When I finally got a hold of Mr Fries by email, he replied back that I had asked for the table to be discarded and his company had done nothing wrong. He said the "case was closed". All I can say is that it is a crooked company. They stole our table then denied any wrongdoing. Be careful of signing the contract on moving day that says they will replace lost or damaged items at $0.60/lb. I may be able to get $50 out of this "misunderstanding". They initially quoted me for 3 hrs of moving (I bought a Groupon that reportedly gave me $200 worth of moving expenses that included, 2 men with a truck for $99 per hour). It took 2 guys EIGHT hours to move my 2 bedroom 1000 sq ft house- and this was with me helping unload because 6 hrs in I couldn't take it anymore. About an hour in and almost loaded, one of the movers took his dolly, left the job and started walking down the road. They had to call in someone else and I was assured I would not be charged for this time. I waited about an hour and a half and I had to leave. I am not sure when the 3rd guy showed up. The owner called me a little later and said they were providing 2 more movers (for a total of 5) to help unload to make up for the inconvenience. This included the owner, JR. It took them less than an hour to unload. When I went out to pay, JR tried to charge me for 4 hours and 45 minutes - this included the almost 2 hours nobody was working!! I disputed it and he was very nasty and unprofessional. While I was trying to reason with him, he said "see you in court", got in his truck and literally left me standing in my driveway holding my checkbook. About a week later, my account was fraudulently debited for the ENTIRE amount PLUS a percentage for using a card instead of a check. Bank was notified and reversed the charges, still waiting for the outcome on fraud charges. I filed a damage report online - waste of time!! It goes to JR. He responded with "I was on that move and nothing was damaged". I have pictures - including a big chunk out of my piano!!! I guess I will "see HIM in Court"!! They scratched the wall all the way up the stairs, forced the doorknob into the wall, scratched the floor, and refused to leave if I did not pay. They made absolutely no effort to even be careful. I hired the company to handle my move a few years ago. They moved my things to their storage facility. I now know that the storage unit had SEVERE roof problems. When it rained there were leaks in the building. No one ever contacted me or my point of contact to inform me that there may be an issue with rain getting into my unit. This storage unit is advertised as "indoor and protected from the elements" but obviously my unit was not protected. SEVERAL of my items were ruined by mold damage. There was one box that was actually wet from the outside. I contacted the storage facility immediately, the manager advised me to file a complaint online with corporate office. I did that. I seem to be getting the run around. I have called and sent email numerous times, only to be ignored or told that they are still waiting for feedback.I was advised to have a certified mold inspection company come to my apartment and test all my items (and apartment). The tests came back and confirmed that there is mold present on more items (and now in the air). I sent all this information to the company...yet they have not responded with a plan for compensation. I filed a complaint with the BBB..which they ignored the BBB just like they ignored me. I am now in the process of suing the company in small claims court. read more

Here To There Movers are thee most unprofessional team of individuals I've ever worked with. They moved me from a first level apartment, with a garage, and it took them 3 hours to get me out of the apartment. Note, I did not have a lot of furniture. Once we got to my, newly built, home it took them only two hours to move the same items in. They only come equipped with just enough to get a half-ass job done. They scratched the walls in my brand new home, and now I am having a problem with anyone reaching out to me. I filed a claim on-line and I've spoken with several individuals in the office. I spoke with an individual named JR who is suppose to be in charge of OPS and repairs. He was loud, unprofessional and intimidating. I plan to reach out to BBB and Angie's List concerning this company. Cheap.... they are not. I should have went with Red Ball the price was the same. Never mind, the movers overheard me on the phone with Goodwill concerning a dinning set I didn't want.... and he asked if he could have all the things I was giving away because he has 12 grandchildren. Well,, I liked the men on a certain level but I felt they were careless with my stuff that wasn't padded. I put all bags, boxes and all other items by front door in an effort to speed things up. it took 3 men, 2 hours to load things from a 2 bedroom home, 20mins to drive and then an hour and some odd minutes to unload up a flight of stairs and into a garage at same location. I felt like they were trying to take as long as possible loading, which was stressful since I'm on a tight budget. more money then I ever spent moving, u pay for the shrink rap, a bed broke, brand new space heater dented and scratched, and a chunk out of the wall that I just noticed (all fairness it was a weird turn but I'd rather have taken legs off couch or something then have a hole in the wall). I did felt they were loud and unprofessional when they were outside and I could hear them. overall, I wasn't impressed and am almost afraid of what it will be like to file the claim. I ordered an entire bedroom suite. The first delivery they brought was one item, a broken foot board, and they knew nothing of the rest of my items. So, they left and said they'd call me later that day. They didn't. I called them and they said that they had to sort things out with the vendor... that took a while...finally, a few weeks later July 3rd they come out again. They didn't bring all my items and even tried to convince me that I was wrong about it. I pointed out the items on THEIR shipping document that they did not bring and finally he said he didn't know what to do so I should call their manager. I called their managers cell, he called me back and said that he found the remaining pieces would deliver them on the 4th. I rearranged my holiday to be there for the shipment and they called me and said that the driver called the house, no one answered, so they went home and would like to reschedule for the 5th. This was the point where I stopped being nice. There were 3 people home all day, so I thought it unlikely that we missed the call. I scrolled through my caller id and sure enough, no call. I told the lady that the delivery guy (probably a stupid kid) was lying and I demanded they fix it and delivery the stuff immediately. She called back and said it would be there shortly... but that I had to describe the items to her again, because they weren't quite sure which pieces were mine... which struck me as odd since they just told me they were on a truck already?! You might think this all pretty crazy, but just wait... I haven't cried yet... 2 guys deliver the remaining parts. When they sit them down and ask me to sign I said, "You're going to install them right?" They said, "No. We're covering for another guy and he said all we have to do is drop them off. Sign here." I said, "You've GOT to be kidding me. Here, the work order (the doc he wants me to sign) says, 'Drop off and SET UP.'" So I said again, "You need to "set up" and then I'll sign. He said no. "Sign the document or we'll take the items back." At this point, I'm in my bedroom alone with 2 pissed off guys that they had to cover for another guy on the 4th, they look threatening, and are trying to force me to sign a piece of paper that they KNOW is wrong. The move that I had from here to there was the move from hell. I had two computers stolen. I reported it to them, also two items of mine were broken as well. Worst experience ever! Don't hire. Indianapolis location. Didn't have the correct equipment to move my office! Broke items. Most of the time, only 1 person (out of 3) was working. Would have given one star by could not because of the system. Loaded my daughter last week for a move to Florida and damaged multiple pieces of furniture. wrapped stuff that did wrap items that need to be wrapped. Hundreds of dollars in damage. When she spoke to the owner he basically told her it was not his problem and offered her the number for the BBB. their rating is so low I guess he just does not care. Was extremely nasty. Would not use them if they were free.Just the worst. The Florida movers to unloaded the truck commented they hoped we did not pay someone to load the truck like this. read more
