RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Please contact me (text 317-500-3838) for video of damage to almost everything they touched. After showing concern on how they were packing my household items, they locked up the truck and threaten to take my items away if I didn't pay them in advance. Everyone I shared my experience with (realtor, neighbors, friends) told me i should have called the police. WORST (ALL TIME) EXPERIENCE of my lifetime. I don't just mean moving... ALL TIME WORST decision regarding anything. RUN! CALL SOMEONE ELSE... Honestly, please contact me.

Didn't unwrap furniture. Didn't reconnect sectional. Left several blankets behind they left so fast! All they wanted was the money!

I cannot believe how quickly $129 an hour becomes $250 an hour. It would be one thing if you got professional service at least, but they don't even offer that. They are unapologetic about the fees they tack on at the end of your move. Funny thing is, they didn't finish. I have items they dropped in the living room and never took upstairs. They did manage to smoke some weed while driving between locations though. Funny when you try to talk to management, all they tell you is how expensive moving has become since the last time you used them. It's pretty safe to say, NEVER AGAIN. They knew they were screwing me, because they didn't even wait for a tip. They got out as fast as they could. $1000 to move a 2 bedroom apartment. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Is there a negative star? I have used them 2-3 times no issues, the movers themselves have been great except my last move...They dropped a 9' x 3' cabinet going too fast down the ramp and it hit the ground. Heartbroken. I was kind, mistakes happen...i called their office, no return call, i called a month later, no call, i called a week later, no call. I'm up to calling almost once a week with no return call. So disappointing.

Unfinished job. Many, many items left behind...Broken items, stolen items. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY fair warning. We have had to file suit due to complete and total lack of care/customer service. I'd give it NEGATIVE ZERO stars if that were possible.

Truck they stated it was at 100% capacity and 11 more small items was being unreasonable

PLEASE READ BEFORE ENGAGING WITH THIS COMPANY! THIS IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY - IT IS A SCAM! This was by far the most awful moving experience I have ever encountered and have hired movers 10+ times over the past 15 years (for both myself and my mother). Two movers showed up (on time) to move my disabled mother from a 1 bedroom assisted living to another AL. After the two "employees" rushed through moving the apartment items (broke items, damaged items, throwing boxes)-there was a small storage unit (less than half full) to move as well (this was discussed when they first arrived). Once at the storage unit-they decided they were not going to move the remaining 11 items (boxes) from the storage unit, got in their truck and sat, refusing to get out or work. I was completely dumbfounded. I called the number on the truck for the office to see if they were able to assist. The "office manager" (I use this term loosely) JR told me it was unreasonable to ask the movers to move all of the items in the storage unit-as there was no more room on the truck (see pic below-plenty of room). The movers then proceeded to DRIVE OFF with my mother's belongings! I was left with no option, but to follow the truck and call the local police to discuss how to handle this incomprehensible situation. There were four different sheriff/police departments involved and all requested the license plate. Half of the license plate had been scratched off or removed. The "employees" proceeded to a storage facility off Pendleton Pike and locked the truck behind a gated fence and refused to return the items OR finish the moving job. The local Lawrence police were not able to assist, as it became a civil matter at that point; however, one officer did tell me they are at this location multiple times/week for similar issues with this moving company. The men "working" (standing around smoking/cursing), including JR "office manager" said they refused to return any items until we paid them $765 in CASH (ONLY cash-keeps it unreportable) AND would need to find another moving company to complete the move. This company took all (but the 11 items from storage)-fled in the truck and locked them behind a gate-held as ransom until they were paid cash. We were able to contact the owner, Josh Baxter, who proceeded to tell us he doesn't care about customers, customer service and we were interrupting his vacation. JR-who I was able to contact via phone, told me (quoting verbatim) "I live for this sh!t, taking out b!tches and Karen's like you" I am still unsure what his intentions and assault mean, but this location is behind a large building, gated off and NOT visible from the street. Being a female alone-I was extremely uncomfortable and would not get out of my vehicle unless the police were there or until my husband arrived. We found another moving company who indicated they routinely get calls to step in for this EXACT issue. The 2nd moving company was excellent and moved the items from the fraudulent vehicle to their truck. Here to There Movers also kept ALL the bolts and screws for my mother's furniture. It appears based on other reviews, the mission of the company is to prey on disabled or elderly individuals, load enough items that the customer's only option is to follow their commands, STEAL their belongings, drive off, hold them "hostage" and demand a ransom-which they say MUST be paid in cash only. These business practices are not legal. I don't post reviews online-but I wanted to share our story, if even to help ONE other family not be defrauded by this group of scam artists. PLEASE read reviews, ratings and others' stories - they have an F with the BBB and there are COUNTLESS posts online with similar behaviors and situations. Moving is stressful enough without scam artists involved, stealing your belongings and threatening your life - I have sympathy and empathy for anyone who has had these similar experiences with Here to There Movers, Joshua Baxter, JR and any other conmen involved in this fraudulent scam ring.

I have supplied pictures of damaged caused by Here to There Movers. I have supplied the weights they requested and still no response. Unfortunately if no reply from them I may end up in small claims court

I have used this company before and from what I saw today at a move I will not use them ever again and will tell everyone I know not to use them as well. The 3 guys they had working were rude, cussed several times, complained about customers loud enough I could hear them.

About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation. As a result, we were displaced and forced to live in a hotel for 50 nights while the issue was addressed. The owner, John Craft, acknowledged to us that our belongings had gotten wet and remained on their moving trucks for a period of time during the hot and humid month of June. Despite assurances from the company's insurance carrier, we have received very little communication or resolution. More than seven months later, we still do not have our belongings and have had to retain legal counsel to pursue claims against both Soft Touch Moving and the insurance company. This experience has been incredibly disruptive to our lives. Based on our experience, we would strongly caution others before trusting this company with their belongings.

However, I kept getting ads for U-Pack and decided to get a quote. TLDR - I am SO happy I went with this service as the process was transparent, simple, and convenient. I had about a studio apartment's worth of furniture in a 5x10 storage unit. The U-Pack team in Indy helped accommodate me and where the cube could be placed at my storage facility. The person who dropped off the cube was communicative, clear, and provided helpful advice for packing. One thing I did not realize I would need is LOTS of bungee cords and ratchet straps to hold things down, so be sure to have plenty on hand before your cube arrives. During the move, I checked the "moving dashboard" (the online portal that includes all the details of your move) religiously. It always had up-to-date information about where my cube was, which helped ease my anxiety about the move progress. My cube was picked up on a Wednesday in Indiana, and arrived the next Friday morning in California, which was right in the middle of my estimated time block (which was 5-7 business days). The movers who dropped it off were equally courteous and helpful, as I was putting my cube on the street. If you are moving to a city/area without a driveway, be sure to get all of the proper legal clearance to park your cube. I applied for a temporary no-parking permit for week to accommodate the cube if it arrived early or late. Some other tips: I cannot overstate how important it is to CALL the U-Pack customer service line for a quote/arrangements, as the online quote tool will shoot way above what your actual price will be. Secondly, the online dashboard and the ability to change details about your move online is very convenient and useful. I changed the drop-off time several times and it was always updated instantaneously. All in all, this service was seamless and helped me as a first time mover, and everyone from on-the-phone customer service reps to ABF Freight movers were exceptionally kind and helpful. I will absolutely use this service again and recommend to all.

I would maybe consider them if I had a lot to more things than what was in my 1bedroom apartment. I had to use 2 relocubes for a one bedroom apartment. These cubes are inexpensive. All you need is to pack it yourself and put locks on them. (2 per cube) you have 2 days to unload. I'm in an apartment complex and had people I hired to unload so if I call same day .. they will pick cubes up next day to get them out of the way. I stored them for about s year due to not knowing where I was moving so each pod was about $150/ month to store if you need more time to find a place!
