    Interior, Wednesday 9 August 2023.

Arriving at Herfy's about 11:10 a.m. today, Wednesday 9 August 2023, it was cool and gray outside and I took the angled parking spot closest to the outdoor seating area. Going inside to place my order, I looked over the menu before ordering an onion burger, curly fries, and mocha milkshake. The counter worker and cook were both friendly and warm. After waiting inside and getting my mocha milkshake, I decided to sit outside to eat my meal. The counter worker brought the burger and fries to my table when they were ready. I found sitting outside relaxing and the traffic passing by provided background noise. For the mocha milkshake, it was cold and thick, though still drinkable through the straw it came with. Mocha was more on the subtle side. The curly fries were hot and crispy without being dried out. The onion burger was a well cooked 1/3 pound beef patty with a hearty amount of caramelized onions, mayo, and cheese on a bun. I tried it with ketchup too, but thought it was good all on its own. The tray return was clearly marked and located inside the restaurant atop a place to throw away one's garbage.

A bit run down building but clean. A nice greasy spoon type burger joint. Good selection of food, including burgers, fish, fries, and such. Good selection of toppings and condiments. The food was cooked fresh and came out hot. Nice customer service. She did a curbside delivery for me because of my bad hip. I will visit again if in the area and in the mood for it.

    Classic burger! So good!

Place is so good! I love the sauce served with fries and that's in the classic burger (which was huge). Be back soon kids approved too! Service is great too! Thank you!

Finally tried this place after living her for almost 10 year now. Will definitely be my to-go burger place from now on. Burgers are spot-on! Fries are super crispy, kudos to having that special sauce to go with them and Valentina on the side table for those of us that love that sauce with everything! Service was great and friendly, will have to come back to try all the other burgers!

This burger spot isn't too bad. I wouldn't label it the best burgers in town but it was a good fix. My boyfriend and I got a cheeseburger, a kids cheeseburger, and a large crinkle cut fries. I liked how the fries were crispy and fresh. My boyfriend liked his cheeseburger and my kid's cheeseburger was a good portion since I didn't have much of an appetite. The kids cheeseburger is a little bigger than a dicks drive inn hamburger.

Average burger joint (3 stars is my standard). Nothing was extraordinary but nothing disappointed either. Fries were the star of the show, although I wish I was able to get curly fries. Ordered through Uber Eats and there were french fries and criss cut fries, so I assumed the latter were crinkle cut and the former were the curly ones mentioned in other reviews. Anyways, wasn't the case and I got crinkle fries which were pretty solid. Quantity was appreciated as well. Burgers - Hawaiian, spicy chicken, chicken breast, bacon cheeseburger. Added an extra patty to each and they were each filling for my party. The Hawaiian is interesting as it comes with a pineapple so that was new. The pineapple itself was pretty sour. Chicken breast is literally chicken breast with mayo so I got what I asked for, I guess as the menu describes. Wouldn't get it again but did want to try it. All the buns could be improved as they're standard without any grilling or anything, but this location does offer alternative buns at an additional price so those may be worth trying. Eyeing the fish and chips for the future, potentially.

But after stopping by the Edmonds location, I'm happy to say that Moto Pizza is the real deal. I kept things simple with a pepperoni pizza, and it was absolutely divine. The texture and flavor was perfection, and everything I could hope for from a Detroit style pan pizza. There are many other options available in the Seattle area, but they all have issues ranging from underbaked crust to overly salty pepperoni. With Moto, I had no notes. I'll also give a shout to the staff. They're super helpful and clearly love their job. If Moto can keep the magic consistent as far out as Edmonds, I'm sure they'll be successful anywhere they open up.

To order a pizza, you use their kiosk to enter your selection for a full or half size pizza. I ordered the KISSD half pizza and a lemonade. The KISSD pizza has pepperoni and spicy sausage with a spicy honey sauce on top. The pepperoni and spicy sausage were perfect, but I thought the spicy honey sauce elevated the pizza to another level! I would come back to try their other popular pizza, Mr. Pig. They also have a weekday happy hour special that looks like a great deal!

I cannot give this fine restaurant enough stars. I've been frequenting Ryu Nakano's sushi…read morerestaurants for many years and it's some of the best sushi I've ever had. We reserve well in advance and mostly sit at the sushi bar. The space is on the smaller side but I've seen hopeful walk-ins be seated (I've also seen many turned away--I suggest reservations.) Service has always been stellar. We normally enjoy a salmon flight, a tuna flight, the kelp-cured scallops (must be ordered in advance) and whatever else strikes our fancy or Nakano-San recommends. It's always spectacular! I find the nigiri to be just about perfect--just enough rice to offset the fresh taste of the fish. There is plenty on the menu beyond sushi but we admit to coming here for one reason only so I can't speak to much else (although the green salad is very nice, as is dessert.) Plenty of wine, cocktail and sake options. I remember the many years we didn't have a sushi restaurant in downtown Edmonds so I never take an evening here for granted. We are fortunate to have Nakano-San as a part of our community. Check it out if you haven't yet, and enjoy!

I would say that many parts lived up to the high praises while others did not unfortunately :( The service was amazing! The staff were very attentive and kind. We were seated quickly and were not left waiting long for any part of our dinning experience which was very nice. We both got 2 portions of the 11 piece omakase ($53) and the great pacific northwest roll ($20) to share. The omakase offered good variety and came with an explanation of each cut of fish which was nice. We both enjoyed everything just fine but were left a little disappointed with the quality. Because of all the great reviews and the price point, I think we just were expecting to enjoy our meal much more than we did. The fish quality was not poor by any means but just not that good. The roll also lacked a bit of flavor as well :( I don't know if we just went on an off night or not, and I am hopeful that might be true. The ambiance was nice and balanced, the tables were spaced apart well, making the hum of the restaurant nice but not too much. I don't think we would be back due to the overall quality of our meal but it think it is worth a stop if you are craving sushi in the area.

I'm here to review the food, which is great and unlike other menus in the neighborhood. Here, you will find "bar food" elevated so high it could hold its own among fine dining. My mom and shared a few plates: the Vinbero club, the spring pea risotto, and the kale Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. The club is packed with thinly sliced chicken breast, crunchy bacon, and fresh tomatoes, greens, and avocado. The contrast between the bite from the aioli on the inside of the sandwich and the sweet tartness of the balsamic drizzle on the outside was fun and unexpected. The kale caesar was very fresh with a great dressing. But for me the star was hands down the pea risotto. Perfectly creamy, vibrant green, and packed with fresh spring flavor. It appears they change up their risotto offering every so often, and it's gone now, but I will dream of that one until it appears again. Our server (maybe the owner?) thoughtfully split our sandwich onto two plates (hence why the photo only shows one half) and added the side of popcorn to both plates. A nice touch. The inside is a little small and dark though well-appointed. Their mini patio outside is crowded and uncomfortable. But they're doing their best with what the space they have. And truly the food is a standout in the area.
