Most of our family members like Revelations Yogurt for a variety of reasons. This reviewer has a different 'take'. I find the little place kinda creepy. Yes, the yogurt is yummy, with tasty flavors, but the self-serve concept leaves much to be desired. Service cannot really be evaluated as the entire place is self-service. But, like so many others, a tip is expected! Go figure. As other yelpers have noted, the cost is rather high. If you have a full dish of frozen yogurt you will pay several dollars for it. I used to LOVE the fro-yo shops in Tacoma (mainly just the original Gibsons... not a fan of all the chain places that popped up afterward and then eventually ran the family ones out of business). Anyways... now they are ALL out of business so that was short lived :) It was nice to see one fro-yo shop still up and running... and I was super excited to see they offered two non-dairy options and the lower sugar versions as well. Sadly the day I went to check it out they had non dairy chocolate... but when I went to actually enjoy, that flavor was gone! I guess that is a good/bad thing- they rotate their flavors WEEKLY... which is nice since it is annoying to wait for an entire month for flavors you like, but also a bummer because they replaced the choc with some gross fruit flavors. Against my better judgement I got the low SF dairy options... and loaded it up with tons of toppings (the main reason I enjoy fro-yo shops). They have a wide variety of flavors (I think 10-12) and TONS OF TOPPINGS! Plus, all the toppings were fresh and not picked over... I thought the price was reasonable (we all spent about $7-$8).... Ok flavor, but the worse part is with all the safety standards by the time you get you frozen yogurt in your hand you can pretty much drink it. They have to work on the speed of checking out customers faster. This yogurt shop is a marvelous little establishment and perfect for a quick drive by snack, post-dinner dessert or if you're just downtown strolling through the city of Edmonds. In a time where Froyo is a "thing" I found that my heart is still loyal to revelation. The owner is just too incredibly sweet, an Edmonds local and all around goo person. I will go out of my way to frequent this little shop. The location is great, right on main street on the way to the fountain and the ferries. On summer afternoons it's a great walk from here to the waterfront, it's the perfect setting to eat your delicious yogurt while you bask in the Edmonds awesomeness. The flavors rotate often enough that I've never been forced to have the same thing twice, and even if I did the toppings are so plentiful that it would be a new experience anyway. There is a wide variety of hand made flavors each time you go with a few staples that always have a place. You can also rent out the backroom that has a karaoke machine and have a little frozen yogurt party. What could be better? read more

Yum! I am super happy to see a self-serve frozen yogurt place in my neighborhood! While this isn't the best self-serve place I've been to, it is pretty darn good. Yes! Finally frozen yogurt is available again!! After 3 months of all froyo shops being closed I was in need of some delicious afternoon dessert after an appointment in Edmonds. The takeout spot I was ordering from wasn't open yet so I decided to treat myself to a pre-dinner dessert. They are following social distancing orders and you cannot try any of the flavors before you make your selection. This makes it difficult to know what you're getting into. I went for the safe option of chocolate but was disappointed they didn't have any exciting flavors to choose from. I would have gone with the pistachio but the lady working there let me know that it was part of the collection that has no fat but extra carbs. That seems like a poor choice for them right now being that most people are trying to go low sugar-low carb these days but oh well whatever.. since they are the only froyo place in downtown Edmonds I guess you are at their mercy for options! read more

Whenever me and my kids come to Edmonds to visit family, we always make a point of stopping in at Revelations. The yogurt tastes the same as any other fro yo shop (yummy) but the they have the biggest and best selection of toppings both healthy and not-so-healthy. The employees are always kind and accomodating and best of all??? They don't make you feel like an arse when you want to try a new flavor. They actually leave the sample cups out for you to use unlike other fro yo places that act like the sample cups are treasured gold. Me and my kiddos (3) ate nice sized cups of yogurt with toppings for 14.00 - not bad! I talked to the owner one night for several minutes and he just seemed like a genuinely nice man who cared about his community that he is serving. I got cream cheese frosting, which was basically a yummy vanilla and Mexican chocolate, which did taste exactly like an ice cream version of Mexican hot chocolate. I have been a customer for over 10 years and today when I came in I had to ask for 4 sample cups and when I made my choice I was told that there was no need to try the chocolate because they have that flavor daily. I asked the counter person if I jad offended her and she said yes. I told her that I sampled the flavors that I was interested in buying. She didn't apologize to me at all. Unbelievable. While I am glad that downtown Edmonds FINALLY has a froyo spot, I feel a bit let down it's a self serve kind of joint. While the idea behind it (you want more, you pay more) does have its uses, I can't help but worry when I stop by. I know all yogurt isn't created equal but I wonder about the type of probiotics, how natural it is, and the true content. While I will reserve my judgment for when I finally try to find out the information. My wife and I frequent this shop as it's very close our house. A couple of weeks ago was our wedding anniversary and I had contacted them through Facebook to request that my wife's favorite flavor, Happy Birthday Cake, be available that night so I could swing in with her after dinner and surprise her. Not only was the communication great as they assured me it would be available, but when we walked in they had changed the flavor name to "Happy 2nd Anniversary Cake." It was awesome. Honestly- that one gesture cemented this place as a real gem of the community in my mind. I don't care what kind of business you visit, you aren't likely to get an organization to not only accommodate a small request, but do something extra to make it special for the customer. So we are kinda caught up in the fro-yo craze, granted we still luv ice cream!! We've hit this place up about 3 times so far, our first visit a large party of kids were in there using up most of the oxygen in the joint, but the staff were friendly and attentive to our questions and they could tell from the blank stare on our faces we were newbies. From what I gather from our recent experience is this store is pretty much the standard set up of these type of fro-yo stores. A number of fro-yo flavors, followed by a party-palace of toppings and then a scale to see how much of a piggy you've been... Strangely, here you have to go to the "end" of the line for tasting cups, really that was the only hiccup. Flavors ranged from the standards chocolate and vanilla to the fruity and a few assorted flavor mixes. Overall the number of choices was decent and everyone in our party was able to find something to try and enjoy. Grams found a nice selection of non-(additional)sugared choices, she tries to watch her sugar intake and having just the "natural" sugar from the fruit made her happy. Even Gramps who is a huge ice cream fan, found something "creamy" and flavorful enough to satisfy his sweet tooth. Toppings were pretty decent, fresh fruit to brownie bites, nuts were on a separate counter which was nice to see for those with allergies. Assorted sauces including some sugar free ones rounded out the selection. My only gripe, albeit minor is pretty much the standard for shops along this part of downtown Edmonds, the lack of parking. Had a craving for some froyo after seeing kids walking around with it while the lady and I grabbed a drink and some food at Salish. Place is well kept (as most froyo places) and bright. They had good flavors when we stopped in. I got the red velvet and cookies and cream (their cookies and cream was better than other places I've had) and the lady got the mango sorbet I believe. They have a select few toppings, but nonetheless should satisfy your froyo needs. Places like these don't blow me away, so don't take to heart the 3 star rating. If there was a 3.5, they would get it. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area and feeling some froyoyoyoyo. read more
