My daughter is a U of I student working for Fish & Game this summer. She lost a tire sidewall…read morecoming down to Lewiston, where the F&G office is. She works in the central mountains with no cell service during the week and was really concerned about getting new tires for her truck with her being gone. So she called dad (me) in a panic. I called Gill's to see if they could get her in quickly and diagnose the problem. They got her in, in about 15 minutes. We needed to get new tires anyway, so we got some on order. It took a day or two to get the specific tires we wanted in as it didn't matter. My daughter would be out of town in a state truck. She was due back on Friday. Thursday afternoon I got a call saying there was a mix up at the warehouse. They sent 4 tires but one was a different size. I started figuring out how to get up there to help my daughter out but Kerry Betts stepped in. He sent a truck from Lewiston all the way down to Boise (5-1/2 hours) to get the right size tire to make sure my daughter had something to drive when she got back in from the field. I a world where it seems like people don't seem to care as much for others as they used to, it was very refreshing to see this. Thanks to the team at Gill's Point S and especially Mr. Kerry Betts for taking care of my kids! When I need new tires for my trucks down here, I'll be driving up from Boise to get them! My daughters have a few more years in Moscow, so we are up there a good bit. You will see us again. Thanks again for all of your efforts! I appreciate you..

I'm not too sure about their quality or honesty. I broke an input shaft in my transmission coming…read moreinto Lewiston. I got a towed to their shop. Web page says free towing for major repairs but I paid my $150 towing. Maybe this was not "major repair". Since it would take nearly a week to fix may family and I got a ride back to Portland and I rode out the next Friday to pick it up. While looking it over I noticed oil dripping from the transmission and a missing heat shield (which I found near where it had been parked). They said the oil leak was left over oil. It wasn't and smoked like it was on fire by the second hill out of Lewiston. Since it was Friday night and they were already closed, I just added oil and got it home. I ended up pulling the transmission at home and re-doing the job to discover that they had installed the seal without any sealant around the perimeter. It was soaked in oil and explained the quart/hour leak that it developed after their work. So their warranty consisted of sending me $15 in parts. But I received no compensation for having to pull the transmission and redo their shoddy work. And this is after they explained to me that they wouldn't sell me cheaper parts that could be ordered in faster because they couldn't warranty them. Apparently the warranty only will apply if your transmission won't make it out of the Lewiston hole and you are willing to spend your weekends there. I would not recommend them but you may not have too many options.
