There is NO street parking, which is a bummer. I ended up parking near the gate, letting my pup and the kiddo out and then finding parking down the way so my pup wouldn't have to walk on the hot street. We were the only ones in the park, so I can't speak to the other park patrons' behaviors. The park itself was fairly clean and gave my pup room to roam, so for me (and her!) it was a winner.

If you park first before reaching the park, that is the second parking lot. Luckily, some spots were free, at the primary lot, so we were able to park here. There are trees for shade, on one side. The opposite side had fitness stations, those three sets of bars, I don't know the official term for it. I also noticed some benches. At the far end there was a playground. But we didn't go that far. But everyone noticed the view of downtown Las Vegas. There were some dogs. Seems to be a popular park.

The play structures themselves are quite nice and include a wide variety of features including climbing walls and nets, tunnels, and plenty of slides. There are a good number of trash cans scattered about and various seating options including benches and picnic tables. Aside from the play structures, Amador Vista also has plenty of paved walking areas for running and strolling around, a basketball court, and a good amount of grassy area. It also has a splash pad which we haven't tried out yet since it is January now and too cold for that. But we look forward to trying it out once it warms up again. Some other things to note is that the parking lot for this park is spacious and clean with plenty of spots. The parking lot and restrooms are easily accessible and handicap-friendly. If you care about recycling, Amador Vista is one of the few parks I've seen that has a separate recycling can in addition to trash cans. The only reason I gave this park 4 instead of 5 stars is because it could use a bit more care and maintenance. For example, the tarp covering the large play structure has two big rips in it and the welcome sign looks really rough with the entire top part peeling off. Hopefully they'll be able to fix things like that and help keep the park staying nice!

It didn't smell bad the way some dog parks do. There is a large dog park that is long. It has a nice planter area and a large tree to sit under. The medium dog park is nice as well, smaller but clean and didn't smell. The last dog park was "closed for maintenance" and we had a whole herd of dogs with us. Not many people there made it nice and we brought all the dogs into the large dog park and they ran and ran. I like how quiet this park is, how well it is taken care of and the dog parks being well maintained. I feel like this park is a hidden gem in our neighborhood.

They have a walking mountain path that you can walk or bike. It goes up and down around the park and even beyond. I've lived on the south end of town for over 10 years now and only started coming to this park just…read morerecently. I try and take my kids to different parks so they won't get bored of the same ones all the time. When I searched Yelp for parks nearby, this one popped up. I've been hear a handful of times now. And we've had a good experience each time. We spend most of our time on the playground. There's a jungle gym for younger kids and one for older kids. The big kid jungle gym isn't too crazy at all and I feel completely comfortable with my 3 year old daughter playing on it. It's just your typical slides, ladders and bridges. We've walked around the park as well and there is a baseball field, a basketball court, a skate ramp, a dog park section and lots of open grass to run. My only negative is that I've seen a few sketchy characters here. I just wouldn't venture here once the sun goes down. And it also gets a bit crowded on the playground after school and on the weekends.
