There's plenty to do, from arcade games to ice skating, and if you're looking to burn a couple of hours, you should give this place a try. There are also spots on both the first and second floors where you can grab a bite to eat or have a drink. My only complaint is that the staff in the arcade area can be a bit meat times, but other than that, no complaints. The floors were gross in the party room and I included a picture of one of the chairs. This was it at the start of our party. There weren't trash cans in the party room, which was frustrating. We spilled some water and when I used a paper towel to clean it up it was brown. The whole place needs a deep clean! Also, the party time is short. One hour is not enough time. If they need to clean the party rooms before the next party they should allow the kids to go back and play for another 30 min to make it a 2 hour party. This place has potential!

But the rest of it is pretty nice overall. The teacher seems great and has control of the group. The times I've watched my semi-trepidacious daughter here, I've noticed they move at a pace that doesn't allow for a lot of fear which is important. They sort of just get after it and settle in from there, always a good approach. I can't say we'll go here for a long time based on the distance, but we may because my daughter loves it and we're continuing with it despite the distance for us to travel each week.

One of the slides that is twisty ended up hurting the 6 year old's hip sliding down it because the way it is made. There are on site restrooms but the city workers were De-winterizing them at the time.

At any rate the Merriam Community Center is modern and absolutely the future of these kind of multi-use spaces realized. Everything from the parking garage to the community art was well thought out and welcoming. I was kind of in awe at how great this space was. I noticed there was a brand new library nearby as well and made a note to return as if it's anything like this new space it's probably great as well.

Typically in my experience neither is too busy and there is a good amount of space, which makes for a calming experience to me. Their workout area is not extremely large, but it still has a lot to offer with its array of free weights, workout machines, treadmills, etc. One thing I enjoy while utilizing the track is checking out all of the events they offer that you can see advertised on their screens. Their pool area seems pretty great as well, though I haven't used it myself.

It's a pretty nondescript park along the Indian Creek Trail, but it has some really great things going for it, including a solid playground, tons of shade (which is great during this weird hot October we've been having), and room for kids to run around.
