It's totally one part corporate, crisp, functional retail goods store, and another part taxidermy animals, rides, fudge, and hunting & fishing gear like you'd find at Bass Pro. We took our kids here on a winter break, gray day and it was a lot of fun. First off, there's a mini aquarium when you walk in -- it's nothing to write home about, but it gets the kids attention and they realize right away this is a fun store. From there, you can't miss the gigantic ferris wheel in the middle of the store. Gonna be real, it's fun and worth the wait but also a bit nerve wracking. Something is just odd about quietly swaying at the top of a department store quietly for such a long time. My daughter was like, "Dad, I'm scared to look down!" and all I could think was, "so am I, kid, so am I." We both agreed it's pretty fun once it gets going. There's also a little bowling area where you get five frames for a buck, and ditto to a little arcade game area as well. There's toy stores, outdoor goods, quality brands of clothes and outfitting, and really a nice answer to online shopping. In fact, it feels like malls used to feel in the 90's but a modern spin on everything. We did eat here but I'd say skip it. I didn't find anything I wanted and when I went to finish off my kids chicken tenders I was super underwhelmed and ended up pitching them. I will say at this time they carry Sylas & Maddy's ice cream (best IC in the city IMO) so that was a nice surprise treat. What more could you want if out shopping with the kids?! It's a great spot to kill a quiet afternoon.

The way the store is organized is superb, it gives you a walkway so no awkward stumbling like in many other stores in the legends. It also marks it by sex and size. I won't put this on the store, but I believe that i accidentally picked up a women's XS, but they fit as well as my Men's XS. They also have dressing rooms on the middle sides for your pleasure. They also have the shoes in the back once you get done shopping. The clothes are cheaper than online, they had a buy one get one 50% off but we weren't going to do that because one of the joggers is already 45, but they have a 20% military discount, so that made it helpful. When I said better products from Nike I was referring to the cuffed bottom jogger, they last me longer than the Nike ones. So if you're ever in Kansas City or in the legends check this store out!

I always see what kind of deals they have on shoes. The last time I was in, I got a $180 pair of shoes for $60 with all the markdowns. And if you have children, this is a great place to shop. There are lots of great deals on kids clothes.

We enrolled our child in this operation's British Summer Soccer Camp. I would suggest veering away…read morefrom this messy organization. They promised a soccer ball and t-shirt upon enrollment but neither were provided. Our child was introduced to the start of camp hunting around for a spare soccer ball on the field. The fiasco escalated from there: Bullies were rampant among the children and coaches. Coaches apparently pick kids as their leads and these kids were throwing other kids' shoes into the garbage with comments like, "Ha ha, makes a good basketball!!! Ha, ha, ha!!!" while the coaches sat back and did nothing. To make things worse, kids were even throwing other kids' food into the garbage, laughing "Ha, ha, ha!!! Too bad, so sad!!!" Coaches were kicking balls into the forest and making children hunt for the ball. One kid even went up to another kid and smacked him in the back of the head during the finale of a camp get together at the end of the session. Rather than teaching soccer skills -- dribbling, aiming, passing, strategy, proper athleticism, etc. -- this whole operation turned out to be a theatrical nightmare: Coaches were speaking gangster talk -- literally screaming out some "Yo, Yo, Yo, Whaas up!!!" lingo -- and teaching kids rap dances while their team leads brutally harassed other children with comments such as "Move it!!! What are you looking down and quiet for Joey!!!," "Hey you, wake up, and make it snappy!!! I said now!!! Does anyone smell poop around here!!!" Needless to say, so much for the term "good sportsmanship." And what about the promised soccer ball and t-shirt for enrolling in the camp? Coaches promised a delivery of additional equipment during the day's camp session(Never happened). At the end of camp, we asked when the equipment was arriving: Coaches responded with a vague, "Oh, they'll be here tomorrow. The are some extra balls we can inflate for your kid. You'll be all set." Inflate what? Used, worn soccer balls?
