Visit Date: June 10, 2025 My two friends agreed to drive out there and meet me for our monthly girls only breakfast. I'm a lunatic, I like running and I like running in different locations. I am trying to run in every single town I have a list in on Long Island. Usually I run after we eat so they supported my crazy and met me here for breakfast so I could do a Mt. Sinai run after breakfast. It's a cute diner, it definitely has the cute aspect down, with canvas photos of different diner nostalgia and diner menu offerings. They have a great outdoor seating area it was too rainy to eat outside or I would have went for eating outside. I got the coffee and I chose the sour dough breadbasket with eggs and jam inside of it. I thought it looked like a unique menu item I couldn't get elsewhere. The bread was good, the eggs were a little bit on the bland side and the jam was good as well. One of my friends is my boyfriend's housemate so I gave her my leftover food to take back home for him. The service was good too, still a three star diner in my opinion based on food but I would come back here again, it wasn't terrible. read more

Ordered omelet with toast and potato salad. Waitress pointed out that the wording is "toast and potatoes." Since I ordered potato salad--which by the way was one of the options offered--- I would be charged extra for the toast. I declined. My buddy ordered another omelet minus onions. The omelet shows up with onions, which he picks out. He points this out when she shows back. No apology. No break in bill. She comes back with story from cook on how it may have happened. Service: usually Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and will gladly ask if a certain order is available because of the time of the day. Ambiance: Inside: Comfortable, very clean, updated furnishings not overdone. The staff is always making sure everything is clean, and no cluttered tables awaiting cleanup. Outside: Many plants to greet your arrival. Nice to see even if you're not an avid gardener. There is a patio placed off the entrance side, approximately 8 to 10 tables. This last Winter caused a havoc to the wooden planters and definitely needs professional upgrades. It's ok but not my liking to sit on a parking lot on blacktop on a Summer day. Food: Usually diner good, not happy with the additional cost of 3.50$ per cup of coffee when it was included weekdays. Its a 20% tab to the bill, hence reducing the number of days we go there. (as others have mentioned) Bring back the coffee included please and see the volume of patrons come back more frequently). This order was Simply THE worst ever eaten there. The two of us ordered the "Classic Tacos " Being hungry for a taco for a while seemed like a good try. The menu (I think) priced them out for 6$ each, or three for 17$ Anyway..no big savings there..skip the coffee (saved 7$)..who likes coffee with tacos anyway. Well, along came the three tacos each: A small plastic covered container each of: Sour cream Hot sauce Guacamole And three crispy "beef" tacos. The first bite told me..this is not tasty. DRY, dry, dry... Not like I am accustomed to when ordering a beef, crispy taco anyway. A "classic taco " to me is: A Beef hamburger fried put into the shell, topped with shredded montery jack or a mexican mix cheese, tomatoes in small chunks, lettuce chopped, and top it off as you want..usually black olives cut up. This batch had: A small bit of sliced beef with a bit of lettuce next to iis fold, and American, yes, yellow American cheese sliced in small squares sprinkled on top. I really don't know if it had, tomato, I must have, right? LOL. If I made anything like this at home.. I would ditch it. Anyway, after four tacos were consumed, out of an order of six tacos, the 36$ bill was a lesson learned. Clearly there is new ownership. It has been a to go to diner- food & service always good. Met some friends there today- menu a little confusing but decent. They Had the Largest Font promoting Trump Vodka. I asked why his vodka is being promoted and not another brand(ie Tito's ). The guy couldn't really answer, then said "he's the President and he's popular". I told him that was a Mistake- I will no longer support this business. Sad but true. read more

Came here with my girlfriend, girlfriends sister & her husband for a late night dinner. Loved the dinner feel this place has and made me feel like I was at a local dinner back in queens. Staff and waitresses were amazing and the atmosphere here is great. Very family oriented and local spots for family breakfasts, lunch, and dinners. Came here and got a burger and it was one of the best burgers I got in a long time. My girlfriends sister recommended the burgers and she was right. My family and I have eaten there literally dozens of times, and our most recent visit was the last one for sure. After seating the 3 of us, we waited for a few minutes for the server to come take our drink order (which she did). We ordered our meals which amounted to a couple bowls of soup and 2 burger platters. it took 20 minutes for the soup and then after an additional 20 minutes we were advised by the server that the kitchen "got slammed" and that the food would be a little while longer as a result. I advised her that we needed to be at a wake and that if the food was going to be more than a couple minutes longer, we'd have to cancel the order. She brought over the check for the soups and soft drinks, and I went to pay and while doing so the manager brought over the burgers which were wrong, one was supposed to be regular without cheese. I let the manager know that we'd been there for 45 minutes and at this point we had to go and that the service wasn't acceptable. No offer of an apology, nothing... poor customer service is inexcusable. With diners being closed all over L.I. you'd expect better service from one that's been there as long as they have. Impressive service! It was my first time here and we were greeted by a man in a suit with menus in his hands and seated us as soon as we opened the doors. It's like he saw us coming up the ramp or something. That was awesome. We got a nice server. Very sweet girl. Can't forget her...she had a blue bow in her hair and matching blue eyeshadow lol. She took our orders pretty fast, and food came out just as fast. Is this diner under new ownership now? We live in Ridge. It used to be very good and we'd trek past Rocky Point diner to go to Heritage. My beef gyro was comprised of processed thin almost see-through strips of meat like you'd find in a super market freezer section; arrived without tzatziki sauce, and was overall a poor attempt of a sandwich, with a very pathetic side salad. My lady ordered a tuna melt, which was served open on a pita with neon yellow fake looking cheese, and luke warm fries at best. Come on man!
