The food is consistently good, and I usually order the cheeseburger or the steak and cheese--both are delicious. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and provides great service. We typically stop in for lunch, either on our way to the beach or on the drive home from vacation. It's become one of our favorite traditions, and I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.

Debit means they get the money right away anyway. Minimal processing and it immediately goes to them from my checking account. Henceforth, I will only stop when I know have enough cash to get some meats, veggies and cookies. MEANING: instead of 12 visits a year it will probably be in the neighborhood of six times a year. And I won't be spending as much because I tend to spend more When I know I can pull it directly out of my bank account. My estimation is they will lose $600/yearly from me. I have to believe at least 5% of their current customer base will follow suit perhaps excepting summertime crowds who pass by it on the way to Ocean City, Maryland on their vacations. While sitting on one of the wooden bench seats and placing my order with my husband, I suddenly felt something stab into the back of my left thigh. The pain was immediate and intense. When I reached back, I realized a piece of the bench had broken off and gone inside my skin. I was wearing a dress, so I jumped up in a panic trying to get it out. My husband couldn't see it at first because it was embedded inside my leg. After several attempts, we finally managed to pull it out -- and the piece of wood had blood on it. I now have a painful welt on my thigh, and as a diabetic, this kind of injury is especially concerning because of the risk of infection. I'm also concerned about what germs or bacteria were in that wood. I showed the piece of the bench to the waitress (it was her first day, and she clearly didn't know what to do), and I asked her to let the manager know because I didn't want anyone else to experience this. No one came to check on me. No one asked if I was okay. My husband eventually had to ask for our food to-go because I was so shaken and miserable I couldn't even stay to eat. When I went to the counter and asked for the manager myself, she came out and gave a very dismissive "I'm sorry about that, I'll check it out." I followed her to show her the bench, and her response was, "Yeah, I see. I'll just have them turn the bench to the other side." That was it. No concern, no incident report, no offer to help, no acknowledgment of how serious this was -- after we spent $88 on our meals. This experience completely ruined my day, left me injured, and left me extremely disappointed in the lack of care or responsibility shown by management. I truly hope they fix this issue before someone else gets hurt.
