This review is for the after sale service. I brought in my Birkin 30 to have the hardware fixed because there is a gap between the metal plate and the sangles. The bag came back after 1 month and a half with new hardware, but intalled on crooked. Tried to contact the after sale care team again multiple time and finally was told that how handmade look like and if I want to redo, i have to send to Paris. If Hermès artisans are at this quality level, we might have to reconsider "luxury". Even my children have better symmetrical standard. Deniability is at the highest. read more

I am sad to say that this is the first time I have had such a terrible experience at a high end boutique!! Additionally, it was my first time visiting an Hermès boutique at that. I tried to make a shopping appointment online, but there were none available whatsoever on any day. I guess I could have called the store, but I was okay waiting in line...to an extent. I allotted myself 2 hours of waiting in line and shopping time (1 hour in line, 1 hour shopping). I arrived in the afternoon and it seemed that the line wasn't moving and then it was for a little bit. It so happens, just under the one hour mark, I am at the front of the line. As I was in front of the line people who had appointments started to show up. Okay, that's cool, I understand you are working with a CA. After about 20 minutes later my patience started to wear thin because there was literally no one inside the store shopping due to the lack of CA's working at the time. Since I came on a weekend, you would expect them to have more people working to help with the line on such a busy day. While I was waiting in line, Chanel's line was also long, but was moving much more quickly. I don't know if Hermès is trying to create a façade of them feeling and/or looking superior to the public or what the deal is with lack of employees, but it is peeving knowing you have to wait more than an hour to enter the store and having to be there in and out 15 minutes tops. To alleviate the wait, if you have the luxury to, come during the week to avoid the long wait. Once I was finally inside Isaac assisted me and was very pleasant and helpful with my needs. He made up for the long and tedious wait. I bought Oran sandals and shopped around a little for fragrances and their bracelets as well. Again, I am so sad that this is the worse luxury shopping experience I have ever had and it is unfortunate that it had to happen during my first visit at an Hermès boutique. read more

She spent the entire time texting on her phone with other clients. She kept saying they don't have this or that in the store, and it's sold out online. I went to Hermes with my cousin a few weeks ago to browse and purchase a few items and had the best experience with SA Lay! He was so nice and patient to grab different sizes and colors of the chypre sandals I was looking to buy and ordered the one I wanted online since they didnt have it in stock. He also spent time to let me try on different neclaces I've been eyeing and showed me some unique bags! We browsed the entire store and he never made me feel pressured or rushed. Echoing most of the reviews here, the line to enter the store is ridiculous. I understand a short wait, but we literally waited at LEAST 30 minutes. I peeked inside because I was curious, and saw an SA just standing there idly in the middle of the store. Doing nothing. When I finally got in, there was an additional wait of about 10-15 minutes to be assisted in the shoe department. After that, it was smooth sailing. Until the SA mentioned my bunions in front of everyone. Very unprofessional and embarrassing! I laughed it off. Checkout was quick with no wait time. I can't say I recommend this location, but it's better than driving all the way to Rodeo Drive if you need to try things on. read more

Amazing store and wonderful customer service!! My SA Jennifer is very knowledgeable and friendly, she always goes above and beyond to find me the right items. For example, during my last visit, their store didn't have the size of my bracelet, she arranged an inter store shipment just to get me the right size!! She would also help me to order stuff online if they don't have it in store. 5 stars for their customer service!! I also love how kids friendly this location is! I would never worry about bringing my 4 years old daughter with me, my SA loves seeing her, she would entertain and make her feel happy and comfortable every time we visit. My daughter was playing with her makeup toys last time, Jennifer offered her some make up applicator which was so thoughtful and made her feel extra special. We love the South Coast Plaza location. It's truly an amazing thing when a customer who has bought countless items from this establishment around the world has to deal with a salesperson at the front door, Who apparently has decided to establish a new protocol of exclusivity that resembles more of a cheesy night club of the moment vibe. May I suggest constructive criticism for the management of Hermes who is epitome of luxury and quality to create a vibe that is inline with this philosophy. Otherwise you will lose good customers. I had a great experience with Connie over the weekend compared to my first last year. I had made an appointment weeks in advance by probably 2+ weeks. She helped me find two sandals I've been really wanting and was straight to the point when they did or didn't have the color. She also showed me a bootie I was interested in, which she recalled from our convo. They didn't fit but at least I know how they look and feel for when they have my size and I'm ready. The only downside to the store is it's appointments only still which take awhile to get. The process to enter the store is from the back door where you're kind of waiting in an emptier outdoor space until they check you in. I kind of wish you got to wait inside or let in through the front door but I understand they're doing it to social distance and ensure everyone's safety. They do walk ins where you put your name down and phone number but the times you get the call are a little random and very late towards end of the day. I personally had a great experience and would recommend the store to others who can't drive up to LA/Beverly Hills. read more

I've passed by this location many times while visiting South Coast Plaza, but never stopped in. It used to be quieter prior to the pandemic, but lately there have been long lines and a higher frequency of people asking/requesting appointments. Recently they allowed walk-ins again after limiting the shop to appointments only, so I decided to wait in line to visit one afternoon. This location is on the first floor of the main part of the mall and is across from Dior. During the pandemic, they have clearly marked lines for appointments and walk-ins, but there was a point where the latter was getting too long and security asked them twice to get a clerk outside to cap or control the line. (It was extending to outside the mall and began to block an entrance into the mall at one point.) Because the location is not a large footprint, they limited the number of people in the store at a time and everyone was required to wear face masks at all times, regardless of being vaccinated or not. In the future, I may be better off either getting to the mall when it opens if I do a walk-in, or booking an appointment in advance. It took me an hour and 10 minutes to get in, but the staff were friendly and thanked me for my patience. I was matched with one clerk who helped me with twilly scarves. I was disappointed to learn that the longer twillon style was no longer available, but she showed me many options to consider. I did like two different ones and she encouraged me to try them on and take pictures. In the end, I wasn't sure which to go with, but I took her card for the future. I would consider coming back if I decide on a Twilly design or if there is something else I wish to look at. Eventually they are planning to expand into the old Tiffany and Co space, so hopefully that will allow them to increase the store capacity. read more

Okay so a bit of a rant session... im not a stranger to Hermes or any high end brands for that matter. I'm used to a bit of discriminatory treatment due to looking young or dressing down, but the pretentiousness of the lady I was helped by today was just wrong. I came in with my wife to do a quality check on a gift she received from a friend. At first the salesperson that assisted us was welcoming but eventually just became downright rude. I wish I remembered her name, but she was an older Korean woman. She kept on telling us we can't exchange it since the shoes we brought in have been worn but we repeatedly told her we didn't want an exchange and just wanted to see whether a change in leather tone and stitching was normal. After a bit of back and forth with my wife she became aggressive and defensive and then just left us to help someone else. Hermes... look up my account. I've spent quite a small fortune there and deserve better than this. Don't judge a book by its cover... I shouldn't have to dress up in the 9s to get decent service. There's a vulgar Korean woman who works as SA, she has been serving a lousy attitude and rushing customers to decide what they wanted and done her job as fast as possible, but sometimes the way that she acts it's so rude or the way she denied the product that we wanted was rude. Truly horrible experience. I don't usually write reviews but felt this type of service should be shared. I ordered a ring online and never picked it up. I assumed it would be credited back to my account, but when I received my year end summary, I noticed the credit was not there. I called the store on 2/17/24 and spoke to a lady named Josie who told me the ring was picked up and signed for in August 2024. I told her that it was impossible because I never picked it up and that the instructions on the email said to provide ID and to show the email that said to come pick the ring up. She then said sometimes they don't check all that and that they only had a signature. She promised that someone would call be back within 24-48 hours. I never heard back from the store and I had to keep calling. I finally got a call back on 3/19/24 (first time). Finally, on 3/27/24, they called me and told me that their investigation indicated I picked the ring up. I asked them to show me the paperwork and they refused to, saying it was confidential information. Since all this was impossible since I never picked up the ring, I offered to go to the store and show my ID so they can compare it to the signature they had on file. They refused, saying their investigation is complete. On both time i spoke to store employees, both were condescending (I spoke to customer relation initially). I purchased the ring online on a whim after not finding my size while on vacation. I didn't tell anyone I purchased the ring (there really is no need to tell people) so as far as I know, the only ones that knew about it was me and the store! Furthermore, when they called me on 3/17/24, I specifically asked if they saw my ID and the employee said they had all the paperwork they needed. They did not have all the paperwork when I called on 2/17 and now they do? I was very patient with them as I have them time to do their investigation. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and will continue to follow up with the BBB and i will contact my credit card company. Also reported this to Hermes. Needless to say, I won't be purchasing anything from Hermes. There are plenty of other luxury brands out there with excellent service. read more

Hermes should be a leader in product quality and service. I don't expect all inventory to be available in store but I do expect when I had to order the product on-line I would, at least, receive my product. My product never arrived from FedEx and looks like the product was stolen or lost in transit. After connecting Hermes for a replacement or refund they refused to provide a replacement or issue a credit until they have investigated. This was a birthday gift and was scheduled to arrive in time which that did not happen. It's been 2 was and after multiple calls to their customer service group I still don't have the product, a replacement or a refund. Terrible online experience. I purchased an Hermes clic bracelet online for my daughter for Christmas. When she opened the gift, the bracelet was the small size (thought I had ordered the regular size) and it did not fit her wrist. We put the bracelet back in the cloth bag inside the box and I returned the bracelet. Hermes mailed me BACK the bracelet and told me they received it "not in its original condition" and refused to give either a refund or an exchange for the size that would fit. There is NO way the bracelet was returned in any condition other than which I received it, as it was not worn, and the protective film was still on the bracelet. They claimed it was mailed out in perfect condition and they found scratches on it when I returned it- which would be impossible as it was never worn. I have spoken to 3 different people 3 times and they flat out refuse to exchange or return the item. I feel totally conned and would recommend NEVER purchasing anything from Hermes online. I am debating filing a small claims court case against them, as I am now stuck with an $800 bracelet that does not fit, and that was never worn or damaged. Highly unethical company.
