The color on the leather was patchy, with uneven tones and visible blemishes. What used to be smooth, soft leather now feels rough and sandy, almost like it was stripped instead of restored. It also looks like no waterproofing or protective finish was applied. I don't doubt that they do excellent work on shoes and smaller leather items, but based on my experience, I wouldn't trust them again with a high-end handbag. For the price and the promise, this was a huge disappointment.

I noticed some of the negative reviews and this was not my experience at all. I even joked with him and told him I wouldn't lose the yellow pick up ticket he gives you ( based on one of the reviews I read prior to coming ). He IS kind of serious about this. He deals with lots of orders and it helps him locate your item. Put it in your glove box. Great experience and A1 repair.

The repair was completed within the promised timeframe, but unfortunately, the handle broke again only a few days after I picked up the suitcase. Things happen. Repairs fail. What matters to me is what happens next. I contacted Culver Shoe Repair and asked how we should proceed. There was no argument, no attempt to shift responsibility to the outside repair service, and no runaround. I was immediately offered a repair at no charge, along with an apology. No further questions asked. I picked up the suitcase today, and everything appears to be exactly as it should be. That, to me, is excellent customer service. It is easy for a business to look good when everything goes according to plan. You learn much more about a business when something doesn't--and Culver Shoe Repair handled this exactly the way I would hope a reputable business would. For shoe repair, I wouldn't even consider going elsewhere. And after this experience, I also feel confident using them for any of the other services they offer. Again they ordered rivets to match the belt and it turned out better than when I had brought it. If you need to get any leather item repaired I would definitely take it here. They also sell some great leather goods that they make....worth checking them out. Oh and they have been here for 30 years if that tells you anything.

It is simply too delicious. I am compelled to weigh in but I can't stay angry. It is just too bloody funny--and this is only a few hours after having the most hysterical, mystifying, but nevertheless enlightening shopping conflict I have ever had to endure. I was hot. I admit it. My position was "Something must be done!" I was on the French side hoping to correctly position the diacritics of my tantrum--paragraphs along--when I realized that the surveillance video was only going to show that I was the last to wake up and realize out that it was a cream pie fight. That made it even funnier. God help me. So now I can say, " thank you Hermes" you took me right there: Aporia. The roadless place; How perfect that these icons of practical wisdom and aesthetic delight--$1400 Ipad covers and little goatskin bags and cultural insecurity and TV and whatever else is packed into the metonym: Grace Kelly--and the real estate debacle and Walmart getting public money to deign to set up a supercenter in some pissant little burg all conspired to set me up like a bowling pin (and I am not alone all you other infuriated/alienated yelpers): Hey fellow Americans, most of my generation anyway, Hermes is actually out of our reach and not intended for us anymore. The customer is not always right when you don't work at the party store anymore. We are not rich enough to care about. China has all the money. This will continue. Your kids should be leaning Chinese if they want secure corporate gigs after Santa Clara. The selection of stuff they offer is very small compared to what they offer on rodeo. Also the staff is really rude and incompetent, the people writing reviews on this site aren't making this up especially compared to the hermes staff in vegas and rodeo drive who are super nice and helpful. Its sad how you have such nice people working at every store at south coast plaza besides this one. I was being tailed by a crazy women the entire time i was in the store who told me i couldn't take pictures in the store after snapping a shot of a belt i wanted to buy my wife i sent her a pic to see if she liked it. There was a fat rude employee with a lisp who talked bad about me to another employee the second i walked in the door till the moment i left loud enough for me to hear him it probably had something to do with me being the only black man in the store i play in the nfl by the way and i don't appreciate being profiled by randoms because of the color of my skin. read more

I am truly upset and deeply disappointed with my lipstick shopping experience at Hermès today. A female staff member of short stature with dark skin assisted me directly. From the very beginning, her attitude was strangely indifferent, cold, and unprofessional. Throughout the entire time I stood at the counter, she kept staring at her phone and barely even looked up to help me. When I asked about lipstick shades, she answered carelessly, as if she were doing me a favor. When I wanted proper advice, she seemed annoyed and made almost no effort to introduce the products. That kind of service was blatantly disrespectful to a customer. I honestly cannot believe that a luxury brand like Hermès would have an employee behave this way. I expect a certain standard of service when stepping into a luxury boutique like Hermès, but Julian made it clear that courtesy isn't part of his repertoire. From the moment I entered, his dismissive tone and condescending attitude set an unfortunate tone. Instead of offering guidance or hospitality, he chose to belittle and brush off guests as if doing us a favor by acknowledging our presence. His demeanor was not only unprofessional--it was downright insulting. Let's be clear: Julian isn't a gatekeeper to high fashion, he's an order taker in a silk tie. There's absolutely no reason for someone in his role to treat guests with such arrogance, especially in a store that prides itself on timeless elegance and discretion. This is the second Hermes in which I was snubbed by sales staff. Are they not getting commissions? Are they only working for commissions? I was talking to one sales rep (Asian) who left midway through to help another Asian. Actually told me not to bother to buy anything and essentially walked away. I don't know about everyone else, but when I drop some cash on a bag (or anything), I love being treated like crap!!!! She also refused to put me on the birkin list. She told me she only puts her clients who buy a lot from her on the list. If anyone from Hermes is reading this - LV will send me bags not in stock and or that are hard to find. There were a couple racist staff members who harassed me my first visit but this store either fired them or i haven't seen them since so i give hermes costa mesa five stars for the noticeable improvement. Usually when i get profiled for being black, staff members saying racist things about me when I'm standing 5 feet away and followed around a store it happens every time but i complained about it on yelp and things were much better my next 3 visits. Kudos to management for doing the right thing we need more positive situations like this happening in this country. I've been waiting in line right now for over an hour just to pick up a bracelet that I know they have in stock. A quick in and out, but Hermes insists on looking important by creating a long line outside. Associates just standing inside congregating. They do one transaction and then the associate disappears rather than taking the next in line. If you know the security guard, you can also apparently skip the line and be seen asap! I love the idea of the boot but finding the perfect boot didn't happen until I went shopping at South Coast Plaza. My sister got her boot from another store but I heard one of the employees of that store say that this sold the classier/less "edgy" version of the boot. If anything I was just merely curious when I stepped in the store just because there is no BV location in SD; this is the closest location to me. When Isaac approached us I was just merely curious to try on the boot. What resulted is the closest thing I had to a Cinderella moment and I got it on the spot. A lot of my most beloved clothing and accessories have been from impulse buys but in my defense I had been thinking about the concept for a while. The boot is quite comfy. There was no real break-in period for me but I also don't wear these boots when I anticipate 8+ hours on my feet. The boot itself is big - toebox is wide so I actually got a half-size down (comparison: I get size 9.5-10 on most other shoes). The boot is solid black and all shoes handmade in Italy with the best craftsmanship. Each boot has its own individual sleeve for storage but in this particular instance I also store the shoes in its own original box. No wonder why people love the designer brand shopping experience - very personalized every step of the way. Many thanks for Isaac for helping me find my dream boot.

She made it seem like I made the item nonreturnable despite the shoes delivered in an unacceptable state - box was all squished and ripped up, shoes had tape and dirt on the bottom. Only offered store credit and did not hesitate to keep telling me how she was doing me a solid despite the fact that it was a valid return. Ended up taking the item to UPS because I couldn't deal with this lady. It's not the content in what she said that really got me ticked off, it was the rude and demeaning delivery of the message that I should just return via Bloomingdale's online than come in. Will never return and recommend everyone just shop at Nordstrom instead.

I ended up finding another pair that was similar and got that one to change it up. Our sales person was really helpful in finding my size. I have wider feet, so I sized up two sizes to find one that'll fit comfortably for me. I also appreciated that they were able to toss my old pair and let me wear the new pair out after purchase.
