Incredible tasting cute little shop. Excellent service. Great wines. Cheese shop with wonderful selection and liquor too

Great wine and better service! The folks leading our wine tasting were awesome! Gave us a couple extra sips and let us taste everything! The wines are moderately priced per bottle but its super cheap ($12) to try all the wines. They have a deli that does a charcuterie plate for $25 and it is delicious. You get to pick your meats and cheese and there are too many great options! The outdoor seating is beautiful and shady. Tons of seating and all in all a great time. Its quite and peaceful outside where you can eat your charcuterie and drink your wine!

We did the wine tasting here and it was great! We did the dry tasting and sweet tasting so the man helping us told us to do all the drys first and then move onto all the sweets. It was nice that they also had oyster crackers to clean your palette in between and chocolate for some of the wines. The man helping us was very informative. They also have a deli inside that you can go and eat at after. They also allow you to drink the wine you just bought there. We got the charcuterie board basket where they let you pick a cheese, meat, apple, and crackers for two! That was awesome as I have never been to a winery that let me customize my charcuterie. Location is also awesome as it is in walking distance to other wineries. We ended up going home with a bottle of the raspberry sweet wine!

The are taking Covid precautions and wearing masks which is appreciated. Knowledge tasting and you select 6 to try. They provide oyster crackers between tastes and dark chocolate for the sweet fruit wine. The patio area is beautiful with flowers all around and tables not crowded together. We enjoyed dejecting a cheese, sausage & cracker for a lunch with wine in the patio. A great way to spend an hour our two relaxing.

Must stop here if you're doing a Hermann Winery Tour! Great place, lots of seating, can do self tours of the barrel room and a shop in place! Very friendly staff. Semi-affordable wine but in line with other Missouri wine.

Nice wine tasting they offer a mix of Missouri wine and California wine which is a refreshing change from all the wineries. Prices seemed a tad more expensive for the bottles then the other wineries we have had. The two ladies who helped us very nice and very informative they gave us a little history about all the wineries in the area.

Such a cute little winery shop. We went late in the day and had the best service from the two women working the deli and tasting counters. They went out of their way to make sure we knew what was available, when the kitchen was closing, etc. They even had grape juice and chocolate chips for the kids to "taste". So helpful even through the last minute they were open, and helping multiple groups get what they needed before the shop closed up, too. I loved that we were able to sit in the courtyard after close and enjoy the wine. Fantastic place.

We went back to this winery twice during our weekend and had a lovely time during both. We first went in for a wine tasting. The lady who did our tasting was great, with lots of attention and conversation. We went back on Monday when most things in the town were shut for the day. We got a picnic that included bread, sausage, cheese and an apple. You can buy wine by the glass. The dining room was warm and inviting! We spend a few hours there playing games, talking with other guests and the lovely worker who was a fellow chiefs fan! She even brought us more wine! I loved this winery and would love to go back again one day!

Average at best I find it lame that they put Asterix next to certain wines for an up charge to drink just charge one amount and let me pick

If you're looking for a winemaking family who is passionate about the details - down to the genetics and ancestors of their grapes - then look no further! We would have loved a tour, but they were booked for the day (go early to make sure you get a spot!), but the tasting was a great second option! For $15 you try six wines from their very large list. They'll teach you about each one too. If you like bourbons or whiskey, I'd highly recommend their Cream Sherry - it won 12th best American wine at the Decanter Wold Wine Competition (The world's largest and most influential wine competition) in recent years (just enjoy slowly - it's 19%!!). Also, they make their wines very affordable! From $11-$40, everything is in reach! (They do have a $75 reserve Norton on the list as of May 2026.) You can enjoy the restaurant on site, shop alllll the wine accessories, relax on their patio above the hills of vines, play a game of corn hole, and pose for a few photos. They've been continuously farming (taking a break from wine only during prohibition) for 179 years! You won't regret a visit if you enjoy wine!

Several other couples who arrived around the same time were welcomed immediately, but we were left standing there without any acknowledgment. It was uncomfortable and made us feel overlooked in a way no quest should experience. I can't say why we were treated differently, but the contrast was hard to ignore. Because of the lack of attention, we ended up buying only a few bottles- even though we originally planned to purchase two full cases. We also chose not to buy anything from the stores afterward, which is unusual for us, but the experience at the beginning made it difficult to fully appreciate the visit. For a winery with such a strong reputation, I expected a much more welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. This was a one- star experience for us, and we won't be returning.

However you're in the middle of Missouri where grapes don't generate like traditional regions, and palettes are different. So if you're familiar with wineries and good wine this will be quaint but not your place. This is more of an event space with wine as an afterthought as evidenced by the gaggle of sororities and moms funneling in all day. Frankly, I was appalled at the event I attended for my daughters sorority. Everyone bought a $25 bottle of sweet or semi-sweet wine (that's this wineries specialty), dropped in a straw, and suckled their sippy cups. Their sweet wines are like wine coolers - and what college student doesn't like those? That should give context to the quality of wine and positioning of this space). Their traditional varietals all have sweet or fruit forward notes - Cabs are more like Pinots but lacking the depth and notes of a true spicy, bold cab. Past this, parking is like a festival, down a dirt road about a quarter mile walk from the front door. While I wouldn't return, it's a great place for an event and provides something unique to the area. And obviously the Greek system utilizes as a more sophisticated approach to the bars in Columbia.
