This is a to go place, no where to eat unless like us we balanced styrofoam containers on our knees in the car. We enjoying walking around the market and seeing some interesting things while waiting for our order. The food was ample and tasted good. We might try it again. read more

100% Authentic Mexican food and it's located inside of a Mexican Supermarket. Don't let that discourage you, because it's the real deal! The place is small as one would expect as it's located inside a market. There's plenty of seating and the menu covers all of your desires! The prices are exactly what they should be for Mexican food and the portions are huge!! They also serve Horchata which is an indicator that you're in an authentic Mexican restaurant. I definitely recommend and although it's a bit far from me I'll be back soon. The only reason they don't get the fifth star is because they put onions in their carne asada tacos, which is unusual. read more

This is my local go-to when I desire true authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is located in a local grocery market, very easy to find. I always order the Sopas with Asada. So Yummy! I also order a side of their "refried beans" that literally are the best I have ever tasted! They are seasoned, soft and prepared just right! I am not real keen on their salsa (but I am very, very particular when it comes to salsa). It is just not my style. I like a little more garlic and less watered down. They give you a huge bag of fresh, hot chips as well. The service is always courteous with prompt food cooked to perfection! Their prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food you get here. I am so glad that I found this place as now I am a regular customer for certain. Tucked away in a shopping village inside of a small grocery store you'll find this no frills gem. Walk in seat yourself and you're promptly delivered drinks from the chilled grocery store fridge. Salsas are provided in condiment containers. I've tried most of the menu and haven't found anything I don't like so far. My favorite: Adobado pork tacos ($1.75) and burritos ($5 bucks). Well spiced, even better with some salsa verde. Two tacos is a meal! Easy to eat here for less than $5 consistently and beats the pants off the two larger Mexican restaurants in the area in both quality and (certainly) authenticity. The tacos here compete with my favorite, La Unica, in Huntersville, and with the best I've had out west. The more I eat here the more I like it. I've upped this review to 5 stars. The tacos just don't get better than the Adobado spiced pork these guys make. read more

The restaurant is small, only seats around 25 people I think, but has great food. The service was good also. I tried the adobada taco and then asada gordita and torta. All were good but the torta was extra delicious. The prices were cheap: 2.49 for the gordita, 1.75 for the taco and 5 for the torta. Just authentic, delicious Mexican food. read more

Pretty awesome little Mexican restaurant. It was a little hard to find from gps, but it is on the back side of the strip mall inside the grocery store. The wife and I ate supper for under $12. I had a ham quesadilla, wife had a torta. Both were very good and filling. The salsa is mild, but the green and red sauces have decent heat. We will definitely go back. read more

This restaurant is offering takeout. So after church we went by and picked up two Carne Asada burritos. They are very flavorful and delicious! They come with sliced avocado, lettuce, hot sauce, and a wonderful onion, cilantro, jalapeño, tomato mix. We go here about three times or so a month. It is extremely good! read more

Freshly prepared hand cooked and truly authentic mexican food hidden within a quaint latino shopping center. I had my reservations first coming here, A small diner with barely enough room to seat 20 people neatly nestled between a grocery store and butcher shop. But that quickly went away when I got my order. Truly authentic tacos, The first I have ever had. This would become the beginning of an addiction of sorts. An addiction I have spread to my friends and family as well. Everything is made to order and it is delicious AND generously portioned. Not to mention that every sit down meal comes with hot chips and home made salsa. The burritos are excellent as are the tacos and sopes. (I highly recommend the carnitas -fried pork-) but where this place truly shines, At least in my humble opinion. Are it's tortas. Cuban sandwiches made with bread that is baked fresh daily. Each torta comes with avocado, onion, tomato beans, mayo and mexican white cheese with your choice of meat, (I highly recommend the breaded chicken). The sandwich is so full of flavor and it holds up nicely without falling apart into a pile of mush. It is perfection when paired with one of two home made hot sauces that are on each table, one made with jalapenos and cilantro, the other with chipotley peppers. I have yet to try everything on the menu here but I will definitely be doing so soon. Until then rest assured that this restaurant is well worth your time and money. Hands down the best tacos and most authentic Mexican cuisine in Catawba County. Quality ingredients for an excellent price, and very comparable to west coast / SF area Mexican food. If you come for lunch you may encounter some language barrier issues - but you can point out what you want on the menu pretty easily. They now have chips and salsa as well.
