TV's playing sports and Spanish music playing too. We ordered a big ol plate of asada nachos and a soda since we were in a hurry. We sat down and got chips and they had so many choices for salsas, sour creams, pickled veggies, and more. Chips were so fresh. And of course the soda is strong and fresh. Ordered takeout for the first time... easy and simple. Order came out relatively fast which was nice. Was offered chips and salsa from the chip and salsa bar before leaving. I ordered a small lengua taco and carne asada nachos. The taco was just okay. The meat was cooked perfectly but there was no real flavor. Sadly, the chips for the nachos seemed stale so I attempted to supplement with the chips from the salsa bar only to have them also be stale. The nachos had an odd fishy flavor to them, perhaps coming from the refried beans. There's no real flavor. The meat was lacking and the cheese that was used was not flavorful. Visited Hermanos Jalisco on a Friday around 7pm in January. Restaurant was not too busy and had ample amount of seating. We ordered 3 veggie burritos and 1 veggie quesadilla to go and got two complimentary sodas which was great. Food was ready within 10-15 minutes and while waiting, we helped ourselves to the chips and salsa bar in the back. Unfortunately, both the burritos and quesadilla were soggy and started falling apart so it became a bit difficult to eat. That said, the flavors were spot on! Everything was well seasoned and tasted fresh. I really liked the complimentary chips and salsas, especially the sour cream & jalapeño one. I came here for their taco Tuesday special. I got four tacos, but could've gotten away with two or three as they pack them with meat! It was packed and busy, but food came out within five minutes of ordering. I liked their carne asada and buche, but was not a fan of their chicken. Tacos already come with salsa and everything else on them. I do wish their salsas at the salsa bar had a little more flavor as they are in the brand side. This place has been our go to spot for Mexican food. We've tried many so many other taquerias in the area but this one hits the hardest. Learned that their fish tacos are amazing. Service is fast and respectful. Ambiance is casual and welcoming. I usually order the Tripas and Lengua Taco but didn't know they had pozole daily. My only complaint is that it wasnt piping hot. Al pastor was strangely really sweet even for al pastor standards; sugar-sweet (not even pineapple-y) almost leaning towards Filipino-BBQ-level lol. Fantastically crispy tortilla chips at the salsa bar. Pico de gallo was a little bland. Red salsa had a noticeable sweet taste to it which I wasn't a huge fan of. The horchata here was also on the rather sweet side lol (this place sure likes the sugar). Not my fave but still wasn't mad at it; sweetness was on the same level as a standard soft drink. Lady at the cashier was cold-shouldered and had a snobby attitude when she wanted me to repeat saying some items in my order. The other staff were very friendly though. Pristine interior as I saw staff spruce up the place often. Plentiful lot parking in the plaza. Food taste was satisfactory although I personally prefer my favorite Mexican restaurant in Roseville. First time here at this Folsom location. Sunday while visiting my family, they decided to take us to this Folsom joint. I got an Al pastor burrito, the Al pastor was decent, well balanced burrito. My Mrs got 3 tacos , the lengua could use a bit more salt, but it's a minor inconvenience considering location. This restaurant seems to be better at making home like dishes, my dad loves the fajitas, my step mom loves the ceviche tostadas, they visit often. I love the food here. It's honesty some of the best Mexican food in Folsom. The only problem I have is with the young woman that takes your order and packages your food. The meats were all bland, except the fish was good. The carnitas had the right crisp and texture, just no flavor or saltiness. The salas were even more bland. The "habanero" salsa had a good smoky flavor, but heat level was mild/medium. I think this place might have really good seafood or catering.
