We love taking Sunday drives, and this past weekend we ended up in Navasota, TX and stopped at Los Cabos for lunch--what a great find! From the moment we walked in, the restaurant was clean and welcoming. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. What really stood out was the food. Everything came out fresh and actually hot--not just the plate, but the food itself. You could tell it was made to order, not reheated or sitting under a warmer. Even better, the food stayed warm all the way through our meal, which is something you don't always get. They started us off with chips served with both a red salsa and a white queso, and both were delicious--a perfect way to kick things off. Overall, Los Cabos made our Sunday drive even better. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Navasota and would highly recommend it to anyone passing through looking for fresh, hot, and well-prepared food with great service. read more

Very good location, friendly service, very generous portions of excellent food. I love that the complimentary chips come with both salsa AND queso. The lunch specials were more food than my bf or I could finish, well priced at about $11, and very tasty. BF had the Enchiladas Verde, while I went for the Cancun Combo, with a crispy taco, a fajita enchilada, guacamole, and a Queso puff, plus rice and beans. BF's gin and tonics were just $4.50 each. Big restaurant with buffet option. Free ice cream by the door. Service was a bit slow. Food was ok price was cheap. I got the mixed fajita $13.99. Dad got the burrito plate. The chips and cheese and salsa was good though. Overall not bad for a lunch stop. read more

Went to Los Cabo's for lunch after golf. I was seated promptly by Gabriel and he asked me what I wanted to drink. I ordered a Margarita on the rocks with salt, Gabriel asked me if I wanted a large... of course I do!!! Chips and salsa hit the table immediately, with a mild red salsa and creamy green salsa with a nice kick! The Margarita arrived post haste, clearly they had this batched up at the bar. Regardless, the drink was good, not too sweet or sour with the right amount of tequila. I had never been before and asked for recommendation's which Gabriel was more than willing to go over with me. The lady next to me had combo fajitas which looked wonderful, so that is what I ordered. My fajitas arrived VERY fast, which was alarming to say the least. Everything was sizzling hot with rice and charro beans, which was great. The meat on the other hand was seasoned nicely but the beef was a bit tough and the chicken was a bit dry. I was hungry so I didn't let that stop me from cleaning off the skillet. The tortillas were soft flour, seemed house made and very tasty. I ordered another Margarita, the first one went down so smooth. The atmosphere is very nice, bright colors, very clean eating area, as well as the restrooms. There was a large buffet that was not being used during my visit but did look inviting. The bar area was large well designed and nicely lit. I didn't see the patio area close up, but it is located in the front of the building and appears well put together as well. My overall experience at Los Cabo's was very positive and I highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in the Navasota area. $46 for lunch and 2 large Margaritas, reasonable. Food was horrible. I ordered tacos Al carbon and the tortillas were so stale. It's like they took them out of a store bought plastic bag that were a few days old. This has become one of our favorite places to dine. Food is great, jalapeño margaritas are the best. Service is always good here.

The servers are very good: attentive and friendly. They're Los Cabos' best asset. Good atmosphere: the place is clean and neat. Drinks are good, though I think they would benefit from the Bartender's Maxim: The customer who gets buzzed on the first margarita will come back for more. If it takes two, he'll drink at home. The courtyard is nice. They need to post fly-traps, a cheap and easy improvement: my food and drink were covered in flies within a minute outside. That's not okay. The food: middle-level out-of-a-can stuff that should be familiar to Mexican diners. It doesn't taste fresh because it isn't really. This is one of those areas where you wonder about their margins. The seafood isn't fresh. The beef likely isn't either, though that's easier to mask. Tacos in a "crispy shell" come out damp. Nope. Not okay. I like the staff, though, and if I'm just drinking beer, I'll definitely trust them with a quesadilla or similar. read more

I never walked into a restaurant with so low quality with such a high price per food item. The food-to-cost ratio is outrageous, beans tasted like they were out of a can, beef was somehow dry and greasy at the same time and was lackey seasoning, and the chicken looked like precut frozen cubes. I wouldn't mind any of this if the prices were somewhat reasonable alas they weren't. The wait staff was friendly but slow. Just praying we don't get sick like previous customers, say a Hail Mary for us. We will keep you updated. It's nice to have a nice restaurant like this in a town that offers very little. However, it's definitely more on the Tex me side although I do love their homemade corn tortillas. They did a great job with the decor, it's not cheesy like other Mexican restaurants. The food is not impressive for the prices to be so high though. I just left Lis Cabos in Navasota decided to get my food to go. What a mistake. Grilled chicken breast with a loaded baked potatoe. My food was not good at all. Potatoe was cold on with a little topping on top of a closed potatoe. Not opened up and toppings placed inside. Potatoe was not fresh either. My chicken breast tasted more like the grill not tasty at all. I am really dissatisfied with my meal. I will not be going back at all. Chicken breast meal was $14. Stopped by spur of the moment this evening. Had quesadillas and an ice cold beer served with a very cold mug. Food was served hot and tasty. Ordered an extra side of guacamole and charro beans too. Friday lunch buffet, everything was delicious! Beef and chicken fajitas, shrimp, beans, rice, crab, enchiladas, and salad. Everything fresh.

If I could give them no stars, I would. I stopped last Sunday evening at 6:15--the restaurant wasn't very busy. The waiter ignored me for at least 10 minutes, even though I saw him look right at me; all I had was chips & salsa with no drink order taken. The bus boy finally asked what I wanted to drink & then a few minutes later Gabriel, my waiter, showed up. When I told him I'd given my drink order to the young man who asked, Gabriel very rudely informed me that was the busboy, not a waiter. Finally gave my order after 15 minutes had passed. Food was so-so, though overpriced for a flauta plate & iced tea. Gabriel was very short with me, never checking to see if I needed anything else. When I was done there was no sign of Gabriel, & finally Alondra Z came up to ask if I needed something as I kept looking towards the front. Told her I wanted to check out. She took my card up front, came back after a few minutes, I left only $1 for Gabriel's tip, & left. When Alondra asked how my meal was I told her I would never come back. Yesterday, I noticed several charges to that credit card that I did not make, starting at 3 a.m. Mon morning when a charge was made & immediately reversed, then 4 other charges that showed on my credit card which have been contested. The only unknown place I'd been was this restaurant, & I had only used it twice since at reliable places. I fully believe that my credit card info was copied and used by someone at this restaurant. As I canceled the card and the charges, I hope that person does not get his or her ill gotten orders. I warn anyone stopping at this den of thieves--buyer beware! read more

If you love the Houston popular Pappasitos cantina. This is the best local Mexican food I have had that's even close. We had the Beef Fajitas Mexicanos . It's to die for . The FOOD made me ill. I could only eat a small portion of my food and the food was not good. My husband was also sick to the stomach. On top of that, we had a rude waiter. He only came to check on us after we had asked for service from another waiter or waitress. I would not refer anyone to this restaurant. read more
