I would never pay $40 to use this lounge…read more
I am glad that there is a lounge in terminal two, which is the southwest terminal. We get Priority Pass through our credit card, so I didn't have to pay anything to use this lounge. That being said this is barely a step above not having a lounge. I guess if I was drinking alcohol, maybe I would give it three stars, but I didn't get any of the complimentary drinks, so this is a review of just the space and food. When I first arrived, they had breakfast out so I saw the breakfast selection, think a lot of sugary carbs. There was cereal like fruit Loops, they had mini donuts, and pop tarts. They did have yogurt, so I got a bowl of yogurt with blueberries, but the granola was out. They did have a couple juice options so I got a grapefruit. They have a coffee machine that makes some specialty drinks. I wanted a chai tea latte, but when I chose it, it just spit out hot water. I decided to try a mocha, but it tasted like they just mixed coffee with hot chocolate powder.
There is quite a bit of seating, but depending on when you come, it might be really busy. Most of the seats are for one or two people, so if you have a family, it will be hard to find a place to sit.
I came back at lunch and it's basically just bowls of chips and pretzels. They always seem to have one option of sliders, but it seemed like it was ham and cheese, and I don't eat pork. They also had salad, which was basically greens, plus shredded cheese, plus bacon. They did have hard-boiled eggs at both breakfast and lunch, but it goes quickly and it doesn't get restocked that often, so if you see it grab a lot if you want it. They also had a potato casserole at lunch, which wasn't bad.
I think really the only reason you would come here is to get a snack plus coffee. Otherwise it's not worth stopping by this lounge.
