Not accommodating ! Avoid this place at all cost if you have children! They say Hershey is the sweetest place in the world. Clearly, Hershey Grill missed that memo. I was here for a dance competition. The first day we went for dinner. Our total bill was $130. We planned on going back since they are the only option next to the Hershey lodge. But I had a poor interaction trying to get my son milk. I needed just a kids milk. I had the sippy cup & all. The kind waitress gave me the bill for a 3.00 & some change cup of milk. I told her I needed a kids milk. She was willing to take my change & pay the difference. However, I felt that was ridiculous. I didn't think it was fair for the waitress to have to swallow the difference because of some random policy. I asked to speak to the manager & the guy told me I would have to pay for the 3.00 milk. Now, you can get a gallon of milk from the grocery store for 3.00. Hershey's Grills cows most be special. Poor service on the mangers part. read more

This is probably the best kept secret in Hershey. It is part of the Convention Center, but it is a spot for locals too! A bit pricey, but the meals are out of this world, the service is great and the menu is full of variety. Get the soups...wow!! We have yet to have a bad entree, and we have had them all!! Once again we were blown away with the food in this area! It isn't often that we've eaten at a "grill" that served up nothing less than delightful food. We had burger and fries but this wasn't your typical burger and fries. It was gourmet and fresh. Everything we saw being prepared looked mouth watering and they give you plenty of food. I love Breakfast food. It's my favorite meal so I always get excited for breakfast. The Hershey Grill was nice an good atmosphere and a cute little fish pond outside that the kids liked looking at. I got eggs, toast and a waffle. My eggs and toast were super good but my waffle had a weird taste to it.I would come here again but I would not order the waffle. Maybe I would try the pancakes. It's really a nice diner rather than a grill. Inviting host and pleasant server. We tried couple of items from kids menu/ pasta and burger. They liked it. We had a beef burger with sweet potato fries were decent . Burger was a little too soft. Bread with bruschetta as appetizer was good. They offer complimentary bread and butter but had to ask for it. We go here fairly frequently for lunch. Best lunch in Hershey; would give lunch 5 stars. Dinner is good although a little overpriced; would give dinner 4/5. Nice place for a business lunch/meeting, within walking distance of med center. You can usually come without reservations for lunch, but would highly recommend reservations for dinner. read more

Had to ask waitress for the fourth setting half way through our meal (lucky I had two forks-shared with my son). Had to ask for refills for drinks. Food was hot and tasty. I asked for thousand island dressing for my salad but got ranch. Waitress swears it was thousand island but I have never seen a "white" thousand island dressing. Good food, but the service was interesting only decent when the we were the only ones in the restaurant. The server had trouble keeping our drinks full even. Maybe she was new or something but it just seemed odd. I also would like to add that this place is way too pricey for breakfast, which is what is killing it. I got French toast for $12.50 and it came with no extras, which at other places would cost a mere $7.00. I get that is a "resort" restaurant but that is clearly not drawing in crowds. Very Accommodating to needs. I ordered take out which they usually don't do but figured it out. The floor is a little shaky which I found peculiar. It didn't get a 5 because the order took a little longer than expected but not a 3 because they don't usually do take out. Also there was a not a lot to choose from but for take out for 1 all you need is 1 meal. The portions are quite large so if you aren't a big eater meals can be shared. I visited Hershey Grill for the second time on 05/15/15. The first time my wife and went for my birthday dinner. We were dressed business-casual, received great service, and enjoyed our meals. That was in 2012. Yesterday I thought it would be nice to treat my eight year old princess to dinner at Hershey Grill to experience a different eating environment. We accepted a table on the patio since we did not have a reservation and it was dinner hour on Friday. The experience was horrific! Our server was in an extreme hurry. She took our order, snidely corrected my pronunciation of gnocci, and brought our drinks, I ordered coffe. My princess ordered apple juice. When the server returned with the gnocci appetizer she placed it on the table beyond the our reach. When I pointed out to her where I was actually sitting, she commented " I thought you were sharing it." The server did not return to our table until she brought the grilled cheese and fries my little on ordered. She never asked if I was satisified with the gnocci. When she brought my meal, the server stood across the table from me and held the plate out for me to take it. This was a round table for four with two occupants! I pointed out my concerns to the server. The manager came to ask if everything was alright when he knew very well it was not! I explained the server's behavior was blatantly offensive. The manager apologized for the server and completed our dinner service. I thanked the manger and left the server a 15 percent tip. By the way, my princess and I were the only Black customers in the restaurant. This America in 2015. read more

Burgers are cooked on the rare side. My wife ordered med well and it was medium. I ordered mine medium and it was close to rare. Fries were good, sweet potato fries were not good. We got the waitperson shuffle (our server went home) and after that we got almost no service. read more

We visited the Hershey Grill at the Lodge on Monday July 22 @ 9am. I took off work to take my wife and stepdaughter to breakfast as it was her 8th birthday. We live in Hershey. We arrived to find no one at the front door to seat us. Cameron (our 8 yr old), saw that every bar seat was open so we sat there. After about 6-7 minutes of sitting, we were not offered a menu or greeted by a server. Then the rest of the bar filled up. Servers came over to the other 2 groups who just sat but not us. I went over to the entrance where a lady was now standing. Told her we have not been waited on. She said I didn't sit you there. That's because there wasn't anyone at the door and it did not state to wait for a seat. She didn't have to tell us WE did something wrong, just say I will get someone to wait on you. So I sat back down and another 3-4 minutes went by. We were offered menus then the server walked away. Did not ask for drinks. Then a different server asked for drinks. We gave her our order. Then two more different servers came over and asked for drinks and we told them we have been waited on. Coffee was brought and then the server opened her note pad and just stared at us. Didn't say, "are you ready to order?" Said NOTHING. So we assumed she was there to take our order. Never brought us the 3 waters we also ordered. It took about 15 minutes to get our food. Wait staff, and kitchen staff were running around like this was their first day. There were ready orders over flowing on the counters and all the wait staff would do is stare at the order screens. I saw chocolate chips on pancakes completely melted from sitting so long. We were never asked for coffee refills. Never asked how our food was. Never asked if we needed anything else. The waitress just brought the check. We asked her about the chocolate muffins and peanut butter icing that we use to get (that was the draw for our 8 yr old). She said they stopped giving those out a month ago but will restart at the end of the summer. We asked if we can order (pay) for some and she said no. I assume that Hershey is trying to save money but not serving them in the summer months due to increased park traffic. That does nothing for locals like us who like to enjoy places in Hershey all year round with the same service and options. This was probably the worst experience at any Hershey restaurant we have visited. I was appalled to see how we were treated. We have been to the Hershey Grill before and it was nothing like this. Hershey knows the Lodge is busy in the summer. The quality of service should not change. This experience has definitely changed my idea of what Hershey deems a "quality experience". This wasn't a free buffet for staying at the Lodge. We had to pay for this terrible experience. Again, as a resident of Hershey, I am very upset to see what happens to the quality of a Hershey restaurant in the summer. Next time we will think twice about where we take our business. read more

The worse service I have ever seen. We had a two night stay at the Hershey lodge. Our first night was dinner at the forbay (a wonderful restaurant btw), so the second night we decided to try the Hershey grill. What a mistake. Upon arrival we were seated outside in the corner. It took literally 15 minutes before someone came to take our drink order ( which was torture since we have a two year old and four year old). We were promised bread that came after another 15 min. Our waitress changed mid shift and they all seems very out of it. Main course was just ok - the ny strip. Kids pizza looked old. Best part of the meal were the honey maple glazed wings- they were really really tasty. My husband had to actually ask the waitress to clean the table of plates before she put down the main course dinner. Terrible terrible terrible service. Do yourself a favor and go to the forbay in the main lobby- our waitress there was outstanding and food was top notch. read more
