06.27.26 Hidden Still Spirits My wife and I were in town with some friends for the Dutchman Bowling Tournament. We've eaten here a few times before and have always had great meals, so we wanted to bring our friends to experience this hidden gem. I made a 5:00 p.m. reservation, and we arrived right on time. We were seated a few minutes early, which was a nice start to the evening. Our server greeted us promptly with water and then returned to take our drink order. My wife ordered the Dragon Fruit cocktail, I had the Rye Old Fashioned, and our friends enjoyed the Watermelon Refresher and the Black Walnut Old Fashioned. For dinner, our friends ordered the salmon and the burger with fries. My wife and I shared the Green Goddess Salad and the Korean BBQ Short Ribs. When our meals arrived, everything looked absolutely amazing. We all dug in, and every dish lived up to the presentation. Our friends said the salmon was fabulous, and the burger was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The Green Goddess Salad was fresh and delicious, but the star of the evening was definitely the Korean BBQ Short Ribs. They were incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and simply OMG good! Even though we were all full, we couldn't pass up dessert. We shared the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, and it was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. My husband and I went to Hidden Stills for a Sunday Happy Hour power hour! We weren't incredibly hungry, but wanted to dabble in some nice appetizers. The appetizers were well worth the price and were served pretty quickly! I had the Ahi Tuna Nachos and my husband had the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts. Both were delicious and the right amount for a heavy appetizer for a Sunday afternoon! To top it off, we also had some drink specials that included the Frosted Strawberry and draft Blue Moon. We topped off the afternoon with the recommended pineapple upside down cake and didn't turn back. It was decadent and the prefect size for two. The staff was pleasant, but I felt should have been more attentive for a sparse bar. The star of this place is really their custom brews, I thigh think the food here is 4to 4 1/2 star but their brews make it a 5 star restaurant. Location and parking: If you're not from the area (me) or haven't been before can be a little hard to find parking lot for restaurant but there are plenty of spots. The restaurant itself is also a little hidden off main road but gps will get you to the right spot. Service: Friendly, efficient and helpful Food and drink: I had a great passionfruit margarita, not too sweet and real passionfruit juice used! I also got the southwest salad. I ordered a Tom Collin's and it was made with lemonade not lemon juice. I am not a huge sweet fan so it made the drink undrinkable. The bartenders are not too attentive to the bar guests. I ordered a salad with no dressing and the dressing came on the salad. We used to like to come to this place when in Hershey. I think we will find a new spot. The short rib bolognese had noodles that made me think they were handmade, but the short rib was a little underseasoned. The bartenders were both extremely attentive and polite. What can I say? Everything I have ever gotten here has been fabulous! I'm talking appetizers to sandwiches to desserts! On a recent visit, we had the brussels sprouts. They were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The hidden Still fries are unlike anything you've ever had. The fries are crispy, topped with Boursin. How can you go wrong? The Pretzel is enough to share and comes with mustard and beer cheese. I had the crab grilled cheese with a side salad. The white balsamic dressing is to die for. The grilled cheese was packed full of flavor and I enjoyed the coleslaw inside. It gave it an unexpected crunch. For dessert, we split the French toast donuts. What a clever take on French toast. I also experienced my first brunch here over the weekend. The omelette was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of goat cheese, tomatoes, spinach, and bacon inside, and I asked for crispy hashbrowns, and they were cooked to perfection. We also tried the crab scotch eggs. Again, it's unlike anything you have ever had. The restaurant was so accommodating as we forgot to make a reservation for a larger party. The waiter was extremely attentive, and we appreciated all he did for us. Whether you sit inside or outside, you will be Happy with the decor. But service was poor-slow, not knowledgeable about food, & they had bar staff serving a table they couldn't see. Food was not good-corn tortillas fell apart, chicken was dry (&was breast-not thigh). We've visited Hidden Still a few times since my first review and I wanted to provide an update. Overall we have been very pleased with our experiences and enjoy HS as a place where we can find good service, food, and drink. This past Saturday we had a group of 6 for dinner. I wish I could remember our server's name because he was amazing!  The food was solid and we sampled a variety of items and everyone seemed pleased with their entrees (I tried the ribs, which were ok.)  The highlight of the food was the pierogi poutine.  This was amazing and I could have eaten a second order!  The cocktails were spot on with near perfect old fashions and sazeracs.  If you are in the Hershey area I would recommend giving Hidden Still a try! read more

Ray, our server, is a rockstar. He is so friendly and accommodating. We tried several dishes and all were decent. The calamari melted in your mouth. The bourbon BBQ sauce is delicious (I didn't like the Carolina sauce, (it was too heavy on yellow mustard flavor). The ribs fell off the bone and OMG they served enough for 2 big men. The drinks were fabulous. Bathrooms were immaculate and parking is abundant. They have a huge outside patio that's dog friendly. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and sat in the bar area which had multiple televisions, and warm white fairy lights, making it feel like a hometown pub. The bartender was friendly, made recommendations, and we never had to wait. We only had appetizers, but if you are visiting, the pub pretzels are the best. read more

Easy to find (with Waze) and plenty of parking around the building. We sat at the bar which was large and spacious. Service was great. We hit this at happy hour and had a variety of cocktails. We came to Hershey Park for a few days and went here for dinner the first night. We had Cat as our server and she was fantastic!! Great personality and so attentive. We had a great experience here for Sunday brunch! The staff were very attentive and our waitress was super nice and fun. I LOVED the cocktails they had - the tequila colada was sooo good. Everyone absolutely loved their meals as well. The Still fries were so good...they were covered in Boursin cheese, shaved Parmesan, bacon and scallion. The watermelon and peach salad was SO good. It had arugula, feta, cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds, watermelon, peach and a blood orange vinaigrette. It was so refreshing and delicious. We will absolutely be returning here very soon! This place is great. It's a hidden gem of a distillery. Came here to check out some of the bourbon and was not disappointed. Between the great pours and food, everything was a solid win overall. Our waitress apparently did some time living in Williamsburg and was very amiable to work with. She explained all the bourbons, gave great recommendations, and was timely with all the service needs. Their bourbons were awesome. I would put some of them against the 'fans like' bourbons like Blanton's and others. If you're in the area this place is definitely worth checking out. I went here because of the 4.5-star rating, and while the service was great, the food didn't really live up to that. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the presentation of the dishes were beautiful. That said, the flavor just wasn't there. It wasn't bad, just not memorable and I wouldn't jump to go back. Came here at the beginning of September before a concert hoping for a meal and a drink. I will say the pretzel was incredible and my drink was very good and refreshing. I also loved the interior and the ambiance of this distillery, it's probably amazing to be outside hanging out with a drink. Unfortunately we had to cancel our dinner order because we had been waiting for an hour and a half and were going to be late to the concert :( so didn't get the chance to try the food other than the big pretzel. Obviously this sort of thing happens but we were bummed since we were only spending the night in town for the concert. We LOVE Hidden Still. The still fries with the cream Boursin is amazing. The fish tacos and green goddess salad are my go to. Lighter options but still amazingly tasty. My husband has tried burgers and other handhelds, all of which he's enjoyed. Our kids also love their food and of course the included ice cream.
