06.27.26 Hidden Still Spirits My wife and I were in town with some friends for the Dutchman Bowling Tournament. We've eaten here a few times before and have always had great meals, so we wanted to bring our friends to experience this hidden gem. I made a 5:00 p.m. reservation, and we arrived right on time. We were seated a few minutes early, which was a nice start to the evening. Our server greeted us promptly with water and then returned to take our drink order. My wife ordered the Dragon Fruit cocktail, I had the Rye Old Fashioned, and our friends enjoyed the Watermelon Refresher and the Black Walnut Old Fashioned. For dinner, our friends ordered the salmon and the burger with fries. My wife and I shared the Green Goddess Salad and the Korean BBQ Short Ribs. When our meals arrived, everything looked absolutely amazing. We all dug in, and every dish lived up to the presentation. Our friends said the salmon was fabulous, and the burger was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The Green Goddess Salad was fresh and delicious, but the star of the evening was definitely the Korean BBQ Short Ribs. They were incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and simply OMG good! Even though we were all full, we couldn't pass up dessert. We shared the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, and it was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. From the drinks and food to the friendly service and atmosphere, Hidden Still Spirits continues to impress us. We stopped by Hidden Still Spirits while visiting Hersheypark and were pleasantly surprised. If you're looking for a good dinner spot in the area, this is definitely worth checking out. The rustic décor creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and it's a great option for families since they have a kids menu. The food was good across the board. The carne asada tacos were packed with flavor, the ribs were tender and fell off the bone, and the ahi tuna nachos served on crispy wonton chips were the highlight of the meal. My husband and I went to Hidden Stills for a Sunday Happy Hour power hour! We weren't incredibly hungry, but wanted to dabble in some nice appetizers. The appetizers were well worth the price and were served pretty quickly! I had the Ahi Tuna Nachos and my husband had the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts. Both were delicious and the right amount for a heavy appetizer for a Sunday afternoon! To top it off, we also had some drink specials that included the Frosted Strawberry and draft Blue Moon. We topped off the afternoon with the recommended pineapple upside down cake and didn't turn back. It was decadent and the prefect size for two. The staff was pleasant, but I felt should have been more attentive for a sparse bar. The restaurant was unique in design and trendy, and had a nice flow of customers for a Sunday afternoon. First-rate service all the way, from the hostess who seated us and the waitress who served us, to the gentleman working the bar who answered our questions and made recommendations. Lovely environment with a relaxing atmosphere and a great vibe. The menu was extensive and looked great; my only complaint would be to offer a vegan option other than a black-bean burger. Location and parking: If you're not from the area (me) or haven't been before can be a little hard to find parking lot for restaurant but there are plenty of spots. The restaurant itself is also a little hidden off main road but gps will get you to the right spot. What can I say? Everything I have ever gotten here has been fabulous! I'm talking appetizers to sandwiches to desserts! On a recent visit, we had the brussels sprouts. They were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The hidden Still fries are unlike anything you've ever had. The fries are crispy, topped with Boursin. How can you go wrong? The Pretzel is enough to share and comes with mustard and beer cheese. I had the crab grilled cheese with a side salad. The white balsamic dressing is to die for. The grilled cheese was packed full of flavor and I enjoyed the coleslaw inside. It gave it an unexpected crunch. For dessert, we split the French toast donuts. What a clever take on French toast. I also experienced my first brunch here over the weekend. The omelette was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of goat cheese, tomatoes, spinach, and bacon inside, and I asked for crispy hashbrowns, and they were cooked to perfection. We also tried the crab scotch eggs. Again, it's unlike anything you have ever had. The restaurant was so accommodating as we forgot to make a reservation for a larger party. The waiter was extremely attentive, and we appreciated all he did for us. Whether you sit inside or outside, you will be Happy with the decor. I ordered a Tom Collin's and it was made with lemonade not lemon juice. I am not a huge sweet fan so it made the drink undrinkable. The bartenders are not too attentive to the bar guests. I ordered a salad with no dressing and the dressing came on the salad. We used to like to come to this place when in Hershey. I think we will find a new spot. Ok to good food but great brewery. A+ service from the employees here both times I have been here. Location is clean, spacious, not loud & comfortable. My wife got the same Chicken Salad sandwich again, it's still a winner, seafood chowder was satisfactory to good according to her, she took the balance back to our hotel & she had it in the morning as she had a early morning meeting & we had a microwave, she changed her opinion to great , saying it tasted even better in the morning I guess from it being dehydrated. Pretzel was great, I had a chicken pot pie which I though was ok, it was basically a chicken stew served with a puff pastry in there instead of the stew in a puff pastry, It tasted clean & light lacking body so I ordered a side of lime rice which worked for me. The star of this place is really their custom brews, I thigh think the food here is 4to 4 1/2 star but their brews make it a 5 star restaurant. Their birch beer & bourbon ginger are perfectly balanced flavor & refreshing & I also bought a bottle of their express Old Fashion to take home, 10/10 satisfaction. We've visited Hidden Still a few times since my first review and I wanted to provide an update. Overall we have been very pleased with our experiences and enjoy HS as a place where we can find good service, food, and drink. This past Saturday we had a group of 6 for dinner. I wish I could remember our server's name because he was amazing!  The food was solid and we sampled a variety of items and everyone seemed pleased with their entrees (I tried the ribs, which were ok.)  The highlight of the food was the pierogi poutine.  This was amazing and I could have eaten a second order!  The cocktails were spot on with near perfect old fashions and sazeracs.  If you are in the Hershey area I would recommend giving Hidden Still a try! read more

Ray, our server, is a rockstar. He is so friendly and accommodating. We tried several dishes and all were decent. The calamari melted in your mouth. The bourbon BBQ sauce is delicious (I didn't like the Carolina sauce, (it was too heavy on yellow mustard flavor). The ribs fell off the bone and OMG they served enough for 2 big men. The drinks were fabulous. Bathrooms were immaculate and parking is abundant. They have a huge outside patio that's dog friendly. We had a great experience here for Sunday brunch! The staff were very attentive and our waitress was super nice and fun. I LOVED the cocktails they had - the tequila colada was sooo good. Everyone absolutely loved their meals as well. The Still fries were so good...they were covered in Boursin cheese, shaved Parmesan, bacon and scallion. The watermelon and peach salad was SO good. It had arugula, feta, cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds, watermelon, peach and a blood orange vinaigrette. It was so refreshing and delicious. We will absolutely be returning here very soon! This place is great. It's a hidden gem of a distillery. Came here to check out some of the bourbon and was not disappointed. Between the great pours and food, everything was a solid win overall. Our waitress apparently did some time living in Williamsburg and was very amiable to work with. She explained all the bourbons, gave great recommendations, and was timely with all the service needs. Their bourbons were awesome. I would put some of them against the 'fans like' bourbons like Blanton's and others. If you're in the area this place is definitely worth checking out.
