I stopped into Rotunda Brew Pub this past Tuesday while in town for a work trip, looking for a fun local spot after more than seven hours of travel. The menu immediately caught my eye with its local flair, and it did not disappoint. They happened to be hosting trivia night, which was such a fun surprise and gave the place great energy. I ordered the chef's special crabcake sandwich, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Easily the highlight of my night and exactly what I needed after a long day. Kelsey and Kristen were absolute standouts--warm, engaging, and incredibly welcoming. Even as someone from out of town, I was treated like a regular, which made the experience even better. Between the food, atmosphere, and people, this will absolutely be a regular stop for me on future work trips. Highly recommend. read more

This was a recommended stop on our annual trip to Hershey. Typically, we would have lunch at another brewery in the area, but we were up for something different. There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey! read more

Omg! Our server, Sara, had us laughing out loud. It was a very enjoyable meal. The food was just ok - I had the Burnt Ends small plate but I think what they're calling burnt ends is actually pork belly. ‍ We ordered dessert - the "S'Mores" - which turned out to be all toasted marshmallows and chocolate syrup - very little if any graham cracker. Nice atmosphere. We sat in the dining room but would have been comfortable at the bar too. read more

For some reason, we've overlooked this amazing restaurant in our new-in-town culinary explorations. Just when I was starting to think that Hershey has a glut of gastropubs, we discover this truly original gem! Check out the menu and you'll see many truly unique items, starting with the appetizers all the way through the lengthy dessert section. In my case I ordered the Lightning Cattle Wagyu Smash Burger, which, in addition to the Wagyu beef, was topped with smoked cheddar cheese, coffee braised onions and BACON JAM, and wrapped in a sesame seed brioche bun. I've never had anything like it! Usually I only eat half of a burger and bring the other half home for later, but I inhaled the whole thing. The burger was rounded out with homemade potato chips and a dill pickle. My wife chose the Holiday Sammy, which was a turkey breast sandwich topped with brie, cranberry mayo and stuffing, all lovingly wrapped in two slices of pumpkin bread, and complemented with chips and a pickle. The pumpkin bread sounded too unusual for me, but I had a couple bites and was very pleasantly surprised at how well the flavors and textures worked together. I wish we had a chance to try one of the many desserts, but we were with a large group which made ordering anything beyond the main course (e.g., beer or dessert) too complicated. We stumbled on Rotunda Brew Pub as it was across from our hotel. We are so thankful we found it! This place is absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere is great with cool vibes as a brew pub. Our waitress was awesome, checked in regularly and was super friendly. The beer was second to none, I tried a few drafts and the IPAs could stack up against any out there. The food was the star. The scratch kitchen put out some of the best food we've in some time. We tried an appetizer special (cheese steak potato skins). My wife had a ceaser salad and I had the cholula banger carbita tacos. Our kids got kids meals. All the food was fresh and delicious. I can't say enough about the quality. It's going to be tough to try anywhere else in the area during our stay! read more

I really enjoyed myself at Rotunda. If you follow my reviews, you know that I love breweries and I take every opportunity to visit them when I travel. Rotunda had a welcoming feel to it. On top of their beers on tap, they also featured cocktails from a local distillery. They featured several IPAs and several Sours. I'm not a fan of sours and IPAs can be hit or miss, so I chose a cerveza. Can't go wrong! It was very good and I was happy to see that they had an extensive happy hour selection. I chose the burnt ends. Honestly, I wasn't impressed but I don't like sweet things and the BBQ sauce was too sweet for me. I also found them to be a bit on the fatty side. Everything that came out looked good so I think it was just a personal preference of mine. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service and do think it's a fun place to check out! read more

Cute place. From the outside it looks small but a nice size inside. Has a full size bar you can sit at. The parking situation is small and can be tight for bigger cars. Decided to stop in for dinner since it was right across from our hotel. Absolutely fantastic experience. The staff here is soooooo incredibly friendly and welcoming! We had the cheesesteak potato skins that were a March special and they were delicious! Caesar salad was one of the best I've had and the tacos were delicious. Highly recommend the Orange dreamsicle cheesecake dessert- yum. This was my 2nd visit and it hasn't disappointed. Staff is friendly, food is great and there are so many unique beers to choose from. I'm not even a beer drinker, but this place makes me a liar!! I love their beer here (the fruity, sweet ones). They have a really unique Nitro Ice Cream beer that is really good along with many, many others. The atmosphere is cozy and they have seating in their bar area as well as their dining area. We visited on a trivia night and had a lot of fun. I had the Bang Bang Shrimp tacos - they were really yummy with a not-too-spicy but flavorful sauce and super fresh toppings. We didn't love the appetizer Brussel sprouts as we all thought they could be cooked more and have more flavor so those were a one and done for us. But I'll definitely return! read more

This is one of the best restaurants in the Hershey/Palmyra area. Always get a great meal, with fast and friendly service. Today I tried the Wagyu smash burger. This was the best hamburger I have had in a very long time. It was so tasty, and had a "jam" on it that was perfect. It didn't have the usual accompaniments like lettuce tomato or onion, but it didn't need them. Thank you Rotunda for another excellent dining experience. Great afternoon meet up w great friends. This restaurant was the hallway mark for a few friends and I, so we made it happen. It was a little difficult to locate from busy main street, but I found it. Accurate order taking and expedited table service. Collectively, we ordered the following. Brew Pub Pretzel - Soft, delish, and warm. Blistered Breakfast Brussels - Super tasty and crispy. Smoked Wings (BBQ, Old Bay) - Both wing orders were a great size and well seasoned. Breakfast Skillet - Mediocre. Discrepancy w the eggs and the bacon was missing. Willow immediately fixed the situation. A couple nopes: They ask if you want Blue Cheese or Ranch for wings and then silently CHARGE you. I selected ranch so I could take home to whoever wanted leftovers, but I could have left it there at the restaurant. I'm allergic to both anyway. Aaannnddddddd, there was a charge to use cc. I had cash in my pocket. NOW, it is printed quite small at the bottom of receipt, so they did their due diligence. I just ain't like it. I like the two unfiltered IPAs I tried. I like a bolder hop presentation, but the ales from rotunda might be more appealing for most. The food is good. First time going to Rotunda, and it was amazing! The atmosphere felt like a warm, cozy, brew pub, with a fun and quirky aesthetic. The beer was quirky too, with flavors like Skittles, Nerds, and Blue Raspberry that tasted JUST LIKE THE CANDY, and was way better than it had any right to be! I got the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! Our server was also super fantastic, attentive and sweet. We will definitely be back! Gotta try more beers! read more

Only had beers here, so can't rate the food offerings. I had flights of beers so that I could try all of their offerings. The beers are well made, but not overly ambitious, there's no wow factor in any of the beers. But they were all drinkable and there were no off flavors! A great happy hour spot! They have a variety of interesting beers but after sampling a few I opted for the seasonal sangria which was delicious and refreshing! They offer $6 appetizers during happy hour which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had the mango habanero wings, Korean bang bang wings, roasted Brussel sprouts, and deviled eggs which came with fried oysters. The mango habanero wings were my favorite with great flavor and surprisingly not spicy. We sat at a high top in the bar area and service was quick! First time trying as we traveled to Hersey Park. We didn't have a reservation - and recommend having one but we were lucky enough to sit at the bar. According to my husband, the beer selection is outstanding and I had a drink from the specials which was tasty. We had several menu choices from the pub pretzel - excellent to fish and chips which included two large pieces of fish and an abundance of fries. I had the French dip- it was good but a little too much cheese for me and not enough onions. It was tasty still though the au jus was warm and I would have preferred hotter. My daughter had the smash burger and she thought it was pretty good. All in all a nice place - a bit of a wait for food but it is a Saturday night in a tourist town! read more

She repetitively argued and gaslighted us saying that was the way that they should be, and it was obviously not. We were sat quickly with no wait on a Saturday night for dinner. We ordered some drinks to start. If you're a beer drinker this is your place, their long list of beers accommodates many tastes. They also have a full bar for non-beer drinkers. A dragonfruit raspberry beer and a specialty Wicked cocktail were ordered. Both were very delicious. Their food offerings are solid, and again offer something for everyone from vegetarian to meat lovers. We ordered peel and eat shrimp by the pound, chicken rice bowl, which was a very generous portions and very tasty. Definitely a great choice and the service was great. Had a great experience here today as we're driving thru Hershey on a mini beer trip. We showed up after eating some apps at another stop so were weren't really hungry but wanted to do a flight and maybe split another app. We were one of only two couples there and they sat us in the dining room instead of the bar which was kinda of weird, but it's whatever it's 1:30 on a random Thursday. We split our flight of amazing fruited sours and ordered the deviled egg/fried oyster appetizer. My girlfriend was concerned as nothing else on the menu had oysters in it, so how fresh would these be.... The deviled eggs were amazing. Creamy creamy yolk, with bacon mixed in. oyster on the side and little gherkins on the side. You get a bite of all of it together and it was amazing . Service was awesome, atmosphere was great.
