Eggplant parmigiana with basil pesto linguine

The best eatery in Hershey Lodge. The food portions are large and creative. I had the basil pesto linguine with eggplant parmigiana and it was so delicious. Extensive selection of drinks, I loved my flavored margarita. My friend is on the keto diet and they had no issues making alterations for her. The relaxed vibe of the restaurant is also a plus. I go for the outdoor seating when available.

[458] You walk in to this restaurant and it reminds you of a diner but it's not. The open kitchen is really cool and plenty of booth seating. We decided to eat outside which was great on the 70 degree evening. Plenty of overhead lighting while we sat next to tons of beautiful flowers and the cool looking pond. The space was super cool. EVERYTHING tasted amazing. The food was served on super cool plates. We decided on a spinach and kale salad which had goat cheese, blueberries, blackberries and chicken. Veggies risotto was out of this world. I added the chicken was a nice add. Decided on the corn chowder and I scrapped the bowl. Hubby had the mussels and really enjoyed the broth that was included. The portions were huge so we brought half the meal back to our room. Dessert - Chocolate Mouse cake. Nothing better then Hershey's chocolate. Staff was really friendly and server was great. This place is on the other side of the hotel near the convention rooms. Make your way over. I promise you won't be disappointed.

It was our last night at Hershey Lodge and after a very tiring day we just wanted to have a nice dinner where we didn't have to drive. We chose Hershey Grill because we were told they have great food for kids. We have a very picky 6 year old and so we thought we'd give it a shot. I'm soooo glad we did! Our server was wonderful! She brought us bread with butter and get this..chocolate butter! We ordered a grilled cheese and applesauce for our little one, I ordered the sweet corn and asparagus risotto with seared scallops. This dish was amazing! It was perfectly flavorful, wonderfully creamy, & the scallops were cooked just perfect! Hubby ordered the spinach salad with freekeh. He liked it. I'm very impressed with the food and service. We will definitely be back if in the area again!

Excellent service and excellent food! We went for a late lunch! Their dressings are extravagant and made from scratch! Very yummy food!

Hershey Grill is a upscale-yet-casual restaurant in the Hershey Lodge, near the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Lunch and dinner is served daily, and during warmer weather, you have the option to dine outdoors. This is a smoke-free venue. Their prices are affordable, especially for lunch. Feeling like a high-roller? There are entrees that go up to $40! Speaking of high-rollers, check out their water menu - you read that correctly - where you can get a bottle of Bling (http://www.blingh2o.com) for $40 with Swarovski crystals on it. When it comes to libations, they don't fool around: their wine list is fairly extensive, and I even spotted sake among the selections. For lunch, I started with the tomato bisque, which had a bit of a bite to it. I didn't want to fall asleep at the wheel afterwards, so I went for the pop rock shrimp, which I made short work of. Overall, I was satisfied, and coupled with my hilarious lunch company, friendly service (thanks Mihir for the whiskey shot), and chill decor, I enjoyed myself, and wouldn't mind eating at the Grill again. If you decide to go, do make reservations - note they only accept walk-ins for dinner during summer months.

Hershey Grill was a nice surprise from my boyfriend for our Thanksgiving getaway. It took us a little awhile to figure out where it was located within the resort. Basically for those who are driving to the restaurant, upon entering, go towards the left. The restaurant is located outside from the resort and parking is free. As soon as we entered, the hostess was absolutely sweet and energetic. She sat us right away in a little corner by the window even though our reservations were made for later. The ambiance was romantic with dimmed lighting and small modern designed layout. We decided to order the Thanksgiving special which consist of turkey, broccoli with lemon aioli, bread stuffing, sweet potatoes drizzled with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon mix and lastly paired with cranberry sauce. To make the meal complete, we ordered sparkling wine. The turkey was juicy and the sweet potatoes were cooked to perfection. Soft, sweet and delicious. The stuffing was a little salty and dry, so I didn't care too much of it. The broccoli doh!! Won my heart over! I loooved the lemon aioli. Compliments any veggie dish! ($26) Our bill came out a bit pricey however it's understandable. Our portion was huge and filled us up real good that we couldn't go for desserts. If you're planning to attend here for just lunch or dinner, the menu price varies. Try to keep in mind that it is a bit pricey. It was a pleasant dining experience for my boyfriend and I. Our waiter was so nice and attentive. We could come back if we are in town and would like a nice dine in.

Cute little upscale diner type place located in Hershey Lodge. Well, it's not exactly IN the lodge, you actually have to walk outside to get to it--there is no direct entry from the hotel. We had lunch reservations for 8 people on a Thursday. When we arrived around noon we were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We placed our orders and the food was brought out a lot quicker than we expected! Pleasant surprise. All of it was very good. I had the shaved beef panini with horseradish sauce and baby arugula. It was really yummy. I didn't taste the horseradish sauce, so I'm thinking they forgot it? Horseradish has a pretty strong flavor, so even just a light spread of it would be easy to taste. No biggie. Two other people in our party ordered the same and asked for extra horseradish sauce on the side. They offer either sweet potato fries or regular fries with all sandwiches/burgers. I ordered the regular fries and they were cooked perfectly. The only tiny complaint I have is that they don't have ketchup on the tables, they just give you a small amount in a dish that comes with your food. I love a ton of ketchup on my fries so it was a little inconvenient to keep asking for more, but our server was very attentive.

I came here on a little date with my fiancée, Hershey is a very special place for us! The service was overall "eh." Our server kept disappearing even though there was only one other table occupied in the whole place (we went on a Saturday, around 4pm for a late lunch). I got a chocolate kiss martini... which I thought was going to be a chocolate martini but ended up being a martini with chocolate. Not what I expected, it was very strong (as a martini is, duh) but I couldn't finish it. For dinner I had the chicken fried steak which was fine, not good, not great, but fine. I enjoyed that they served bread with chocolate butter, even though we had to ask for it after seeing another table receive it, and we didn't. Overall I probably wouldn't come back.

We had a girl name Olivia service and she was so nice I thought the location was good inside the hotel you could sit inside or outside the food was actually really good a lot better than I thought it would be I had a little bit of everything but I was mainly concentrating on my Hershey kiss martini They are to die for

First impression seems like your about to eat at a diner but once your food arrives omg what a surprise I ordered the steak frites it was perfectly cooked medium rare the first bite was amazing melt in your mouth my wife ordered the vegetarian risotto and she added shrimp hands down on of the best risotto dishes we have had rich and hearty every mouth full was heavenly. We finished off with the chocolate cake what can I Say chocolate indulgence at its best.

The chocolate butter is so good we mangled it before I took a picture

Do you love chocolate? Then have dessert here. First, the soup was excellent and just what I needed on a rainy icky day.burgers and fries were gourmet level. The dessert.....I was torn between a few items that all looked so good but went with a chocolate peanut butter pie that will always love clearly in my memory. Friendly, attentive staff added to the experience. There is a small lovely flower garden with a gorgeous water feature of tumbling waterfalls leading to a koi fish pond. Outside dining by the koi pond is available but we opted for inside due to the rain. Great place and food is far beyond your usual cafe in a hotel fare.

We've eaten here a few times before and have always had great meals, so we wanted to bring our friends to experience this hidden gem. I made a 5:00 p.m. reservation, and we arrived right on time. We were seated a few minutes early, which was a nice start to the evening. Our server greeted us promptly with water and then returned to take our drink order. My wife ordered the Dragon Fruit cocktail, I had the Rye Old Fashioned, and our friends enjoyed the Watermelon Refresher and the Black Walnut Old Fashioned. For dinner, our friends ordered the salmon and the burger with fries. My wife and I shared the Green Goddess Salad and the Korean BBQ Short Ribs. When our meals arrived, everything looked absolutely amazing. We all dug in, and every dish lived up to the presentation. Our friends said the salmon was fabulous, and the burger was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The Green Goddess Salad was fresh and delicious, but the star of the evening was definitely the Korean BBQ Short Ribs. They were incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and simply OMG good! Even though we were all full, we couldn't pass up dessert. We shared the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, and it was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. From the drinks and food to the friendly service and atmosphere, Hidden Still Spirits continues to impress us. We're glad we brought our friends here, and they were just as impressed as we have been on our previous visits. We'll definitely be back again!

They boast whiskeys from around the world and my friend ordered a unique cocktail - Bananas Foster Old Fashioned. The bar food was really good- the wings were my fave- fried but not breaded. I thought this was an ideal spot, so off we went. Iberian Lounge is located on the second floor of the hotel, off the fountain lobby across from Trevi 5. The space is kinda large for a lounge - they have a mixture of tables with soft furniture, a couple of couches, and stools at the bar. The decor has a somewhat Spanish theme (hence the name), and it matches the former hotel lobby it sits off of. In addition to the obligatory drinks, the lounge also serves food. We were gonna eat later, though, so we opted to just have the former. I was in Hershey so I wanted to try one of their signature drinks so I went with their Hershey's Kiss Signature Martini. This kinda blew my mind if I'm being honest - the drink was clear like a martini but it tasted so much like a Hershey's Kiss - my mind couldn't comprehend this as i consumed the delicious sips. Service was great, everyone was friendly and our drinks came out promptly. Overall, I had a great experience at Iberian Lounge - the drinks were fun, and the atmosphere was comfortable. This is an ideal place to chill while at Hotel Hershey.

The atmosphere was fun, utilizing retired ride vehicles as booths and playing into the park setting. As expected in Hershey, the menu explored how chocolate can be integrated into a very American menu. I enjoyed the pulled pork grilled cheese: the chocolate barbecue sauce reminded me of a lighter molasses-based sauce so it worked with the barbecue. We had the Ferris Wheel appetizer which was mostly a win, but the items could have shown up on a TGI Friday's menu. The next day, to escape the millions of middle schoolers in the park (I have a whole travelogue brewing for that) we came back because I wanted one of their gigantic milkshakes. The Reese's peanut butter shake was peanut butter to the Nth degree, and it was topped by an entire slice of peanut butter pie. My friend got a stomachache but I love anything peanut butter so this was a win for me. Both times the service was really good. One thing I definitely like better now is that they take reservations, and I would highly recommend making one. Otherwise, you could be looking at a pretty long wait. Our service was excellent. Our waitress did a great job taking care of us and managed to make sure our drinks were never empty, which is basically the restaurant equivalent of having a personal pit crew. One thing we discovered on the appetizer menu is the half-moon mozzarella. They're listed as part of the larger "Ferris Wheel" appetizer, but we asked if we could order them separately and were told yes. You get four for $15, and they were actually quite good. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was more average. I ordered the short ribs with mashed potatoes. The meat was tender, but it was also somewhat fatty and didn't have much flavor. My wife and son both ordered burgers, which were OK but nothing particularly memorable. They do offer gluten-free buns, which was a nice bonus and definitely appreciated. Since we were attending a concert, the location was extremely convenient and made grabbing dinner beforehand an easy choice. However, convenience comes at a price here. You're paying a pretty penny for food that, at least during our visit, was just average. Overall, the service was excellent, the mozzarella was good, and the convenience can't be beat if you're attending an event. But at these prices, I was hoping the food would be more of a standout.

There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!

Even on a weeknight, the restaurant was adequately packed, so I would strongly recommend making a reservation if you're planning to dine here. A few things to know before you go: Popular restaurant that can be quite busy, even during the work week. Reservations are a good idea, especially during dinner hours. There is a small parking lot surrounding the restaurant, as well as street parking. Both were full when I arrived. There is a free parking garage across the street behind the storefronts, which ended up being the easiest parking option. For drinks, I ordered the Peach Sangria, and it was excellent. Refreshing, flavorful, and not overly sweet, it paired nicely with dinner and was one of the highlights of the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the: Chicken Marsala Sautéed chicken breast with mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce served over house-made linguini or mashed potatoes & asparagus. Unfortunately, this dish didn't quite meet my expectations. The Marsala sauce itself was decent, but by the time the meal arrived, the linguini was somewhat cold. As a result, the noodles had begun to harden and stick together, which affected the overall experience. Considering the price point, I didn't feel the dish offered good value, and it's not something I would order again. That said, the restaurant's popularity, lively atmosphere, and excellent sangria make me interested in returning. I'd be curious to try some of the other menu offerings on a future visit, as there were several dishes that looked appealing. Overall, while my entrée was disappointing, the atmosphere and drink selection were enough that I'd be willing to give Chocolate Avenue Grill another chance.
