Horrible service and experience. I rented a car using a free day coupon and I was assured by the manager it would be covered and not to worry about my bill (which showed a charge on it). I walked out skeptical, but figured it was the manager, I should be okay. I checked my credit card statement and of course was billed for the day. I called in to talk with a rep at the office and my free day coupon mysteriously disappeared and they of course were no help. They said they would be back in touch by the afternoon, but it took a scathing review through their online survey website to finally hear back. The manager called me back, said to call her to deal with anything at the branch, and she would take care of me. She sent me a gift certificate to cover the cost of the rental, but I was still screwed out of my free day, so was technically still down $35 or so. On my next reservation, the manager has no clue who I am, and the gift certificate of course does not work. She says to trust her as I will not be charged That is what she said last time and I was charged, so I am guessing that I will be calling in again upon checking my statement this week. As a long time renter at Hertz, it pains me to say this will be my last rental through them. read more

I had to rent a car here due to an accident and had a pretty good experience. I had a reservation arranged through my insurance claim and they told me to just call when I needed a car. I gave them the info on my date of repair and called them the morning I dropped my car off. I was asked where I was and told someone was on the way. The call ended quickly, and I was nervous. They didn't ask me my name so I was concerned the person wouldn't show. A nice guy arrived 15 minutes later and drove me back to the rental agency. *Phew!* I wasn't really given an option on what car I got, but they gave me a 2014 Corolla. I was fine with this, as I drive a Corolla regularly. As I was pulling away, I noticed a tire pressure light was on. I wasn't about to get blamed for something I didn't do so I turned right around and brought it back. As soon as I pulled back in, the guy who set me up with the car ran out to see what was wrong. He asked to get in the car and look at it and promptly zipped around the corner into their back storage area. I was just slightly worried because my purse was still in the car, but what would they really do?? I would've appreciated a "hey, I'm going to fix this and I'll be right back". I stood outside awkwardly for like 10 minutes and he brought the car back. It was a nice car, no issues, and when my car was ready for pick up, I was able to leave the car at the dealership and have the dealership contact Hertz for pickup. Went to drop a rental, three people ahead of me , no air one person working. WTF you guys need more help.

Don't rent here. I rented a car and did not go on the highway at all- drove my normal route to work on neighborhood streets all week. When I returned the car, I was invoiced for toll charges. Hertz was not helpful at all in getting these toll charges taken away. I was instead repeatedly referred to the third-party vendor PlatePass, rather than Hertz try to exercise good customer service and help me. Since I couldn't "prove" I didn't drive on the highway (how could you), neither party would help me. A regional Hertz manager actually told me at one point that a credit would be issued to my account in 2-4 weeks. I waited, saw no credit, called back, and all representatives I spoke to said there was no record of this conversation. Also to note- I understand that Hertz doesn't want to start blindly issuing credits to people who say toll charges are fake. However, I just highly recommend not renting from this location if you don't want to have the same thing happen to you. The branch obviously does not have good control over which toll pass transponder is in which vehicle, and the same thing could happen to you. My insurance reserved a vehicle from this location for me while my personal vehicle was in the auto shop. I had called a week prior to my rental pick-up to set up a ride from the shop to Hertz- on the day of, no one came to get me. I called, was told about 5 minutes, and was picked up 20 minutes later. The person who picked me up didn't speak to me at all during the ride, and instead was blasting B96 on the stereo. This person also hit the brakes pretty hard while driving, sped up too quickly and wasn't really the greatest driver. We got to the building and he started staring at his phone- I went to open the door and it was locked. He goes "oh I had to lock it" and I asked if he was the only one today. He mentioned that he wasn't but a lot of people needed to be picked up when I was picked up. He suddenly started acting somewhat cordial when another employee showed up. He mentioned that I was going to have a standard vehicle, despite the reservation for a full-sized car because of my car seats. I mentioned that this wouldn't work because I needed to transport my children - he made a face, said that is all they had. No previous notice that they didn't have a vehicle for me, no empathy either. At this time a gentleman walked in to rent a car- the employee began speaking with him over me at the desk. I asked if he wanted me to move, and he said yeah, they'll bring your car around. When the car came around, he briefly walked around, had me sign for a scratch and left. The car smelled horrible - obviously someone was smoking in the car for a long period of time- car wasn't really clean, and had a cd sitting in it entitled "bangin' love". No joke, I will try and get the photo of it off my phone whenever I find my USB. The car was rough in terms of its driving too. Needless to say, I ended up returning the car because a different rental place had the correct size and was kind and clean. I will never recommend this location nor the employees that work there. I truly hope they can fix these issues, because the rental place I went to instead was super busy and will definitely take their business. read more

I've rented from here quite a few times. No complaints, fast friendly service each and every time.

Thankful I was able to get a rental for a week (courtesy of my insurance paying for it) but DO NOT drive the White Mitsubishi Mirage. It's radio doesn't turn off (hit the CD button) the windshield wipers are terrible, it's such a loud car, and the charging port for your phone in the car doesn't work either. I understand I just needed something basic for right now, but things like that shouldn't be not working on a rental. At least in my opinion. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The service is absolutely horrendous. Then the staff, especially one african american woman that "works" there, are extremely rude. They need to take classes on customer service. I will never use this service again and would recommend that everyone avoid this location. read more

My first interaction I had to sit and listen to staff complaining about an issue that had come up, saying they were not getting paid enough. I had to re-rent a car when my car was not properly repaired and the car I got was in bad shape. Scratches and some kind of tar or something on the seats. Rugs were dirty. Plate for shift gears was all scratched up with the paint mostly off. I dealth with Beth the second time and she was very nice. Not the kind of quality cars one would expect from Hertz. read more

I have rented a car many times and this was the worst experience I have ever encountered. The only positive part of the rental was that the counter staff was pleasant. After four days the fender of the Mazda 6 had loosened up and looked like it might fall off. At that point the staff happily provided another vehicle, though it was dirty because it had just come in. Afterward, when I received my credit card statement I was billed for $35.00 more than my agreement. After a few time consuming calls, they removed this erroneous charge. My next credit card statement contained a bill from their third party provider called Platepass for one toll ($26.00). I was never near a tollway throughout my rental. I called Hertz, who says they can't do anything about it. I asked to speak to a supervisor, was told they were busy and would call back. They never did. I called platepass (very, very, difficult to get to a human, every choice leads them to tell you to use their internet site. I did that once and got a message that said there was no record of the transaction and to call them). At this point I am very frustrated, but will keep trying to reach someone to rectify this situation. read more

I have rented from here many times and have had a very poor experience. The cars I have rented have not been there at my scheduled time and never received a call telling me the car was unavailable. I am a Hertz Gold member of the highest standing and that normally doesn't mean anything here. Recently had a car given to me with no oil in it. Broke down about 100 miles from nowhere and spent 10 hours trying to get to a place with a replacement vehicle. Finally got one and they tried to charge me $200 per day for the car. It was reversed but just another headache to deal with. In addition, I had to call and deal with Hertz corporate for any kind of recourse on the horrible rental. The office here could do nothing. I will stay away from Hertz from now on. They lost a 15 year customer in 1-day because of their extremely poor customer service and their inability to rectify a crappy situation.
