Received a confirmation and upon arrival in the morning, there were computer issues and we were informed that they had zero cars and offered to call us back in the afternoon in case they received any returns. I had such a horrible experience at this location that I decided to cancel my car rental reservation. The blonde lady at the front desk was so rude and unprofessional I had to walk out and leave. I got there 20 mins early for my reservation just hoping we can at least get paperwork completed, I understand the car won't be ready until 10:30 but since I was there 20 minutes early she basically refused to help me & said she couldn't till 10:30. I told her that if there's anything we can start now so I can get on the road by 10:30 once the car is there and she said no , she refused to check , to ask or to even look at my acct. she also said I should've called to change it to earlier time ( which I did call 3 times but they didn't answer ) I told her that I did call and she was so smug and said " weird you must've not called I've been here all morning " I had to show her my call log for her to drop it. She was so smug and unhelpful . I have no idea why they would have someone working like that, what is there to be mad at so early into the day. Went into rent a car, I had reserved thru USAA.. My customer service representative was Lynn. She wouldn't take my Discover card because the numbers were faded and scratched from use. She didn't prompt the C card reader correctly with her POS system computer, but she never retried my card. She just wanted me to use another credit card. She was yelling at me because I said my credit card is fine and you never entered prompt to see if my card was valid. My card worked fine at Avis. Manager sat there and let her yell me. The wait time was bad. There is a manager on-site that you rarely see actually come out to help regardless of the amount of people waiting. The employee has to help one customer at a time which includes the paper work, going to get the car, take pictures of the car, pick up the customer's, etc., meanwhile the manager is in the back behind a glass window. read more

Feels like a jail when coming in here. There's two desks in a wide open suite and the employees are not friendly at all. I returned the vehicle with a 2mm windshield chip which looks like a fleck of dirt. The employee told me nothing would happen and it's very common. A month later I get the bill for $1k. When I initially picked up the vehicle, I noticed some scratches and asked if scratches were an issue, the answer that was given to me was that only dents and major accidents were an issue. On my trip, I needed to drive on some dirt roads. When I returned the car, the Hertz employee said that I must have been off-roading, and I must have left the windows down because the inside was dusty. My 2 choices were to get the car washed or pay a 200 cleaning fee. They recommended a car detailing service. After I got the car washed, the same employee points out a scratch on the car, that was there when I initially rented the vehicle. I knew I did not do those scratches because I saw them earlier, but I have never had such a terrible experience returning a rental car where I am asked to get the car wash then am accused of scratches that were already there. The scratches (which I did not do) were not a problem when I picked up the car, but now when I'm returning it, they are? And I have never had a car rental ask for their car to be washed before retuning or I would be fined 200, it's ridiculous. read more

I'd probably shop around a little more if I could do this again. Price was ok with my AAA discount but the only car(s?) they had were massive full-size trucks. As in, Ram 2500 HD. The vehicle itself operated fine, it's just a completely impractical vehicle to even offer in my opinion. She was very rude and non apologizing after I took and Uber there for nothing. I call back at 4 like she said and again no cars she says. In the abbreviated summer of a school administrator, trying to squeeze three kids' activities into a healthy drop-off and pick-up schedule is not without its challenges. Shout out to AAA Premier Services for hooking this up for me! Upon arrival at Hertz, I was greeted by Tiffany, who was wrapping up with another customer. She quickly took my information, I gave her a credit card, and she brought my little Nissan to the front for photos and a ceremonial passing of the keys. Easy and smooth. For a guy who drives a Silverado as a daily vehicle, I have to admit the little Altima made me feel like Koopa in Mario Cart... but it ran like a dream, my kids called it a "Zippy car," and despite my 6'3" frame making my melon nearly touch the headliner, it did what I needed it to do. Turns out my truck was finished at the service department faster than I thought, so I topped off the tank, and took the rental back two days early. I was prepared for some kind of red tape about a 5 day rental turned into a three day one... but again, Tiffany took great care of me. Absolutely no drama. She adjusted the term of the rental, checked the car back in quickly and efficiently, and I was on my way with a receipt and a good feeling about coming back here again if the need presents itself. Like plumbers, tow trucks, and 24 hour WalMarts... we sometimes find ourselves at the mercy of service providers, hoping they will assuage our worry and help us through a tight spot in life. I Rented a car in a pinch two days before I needed to leave, renting online was smooth, I opted for a full size car that comfortably seated 5 which large trunk space for suitcases. When I arrived for pick up they did not have the full size Malibu and said they gave me a "free up grade" to a smaller car which they call a sub compact SUV. Calling it a SUV or sayin it's a free upgrade doesn't fool me into thinking they did me any favors, they gave me a tiny match box size vehicle, a keep renegade. We are a family of four, two small sized adults and two small children and it was not comfortable to drive 4 hours each way and the trunk space did not accommodate our luggage that they assured us it would. Other then being a 2019, great AC and Sirius XM that's where's the perks ended. The car was dirty, interior not cleaned or vacuumed, still has the last persons hair and fluff in it and smelled like the last person. Paid nearly $400 for 7 days which would have been fine if I got the "Malibu or similar" which is what I paid for. At pick up it took 40 minutes with two employees and at drop off it took over a hour with 3 other people waiting and one employee. In less it's a extreme emergency I will not bring my business back to Hertz. read more

Disappointed that I couldn't get my red coach sunglasses back. Dropped the car off, called back within the hour and the car had gone to an oil change, and they said they searched everywhere, and no sunglasses. I had said it was in the sunglasses compartment, and I'm 100% sure I left them there. Very disappointed. The first time I rented through them I waited over an hour because their system crashed. Hertz is now pushing customers to rent Electric cars! The first few options are always electrical cars and run cheap to trick people. Their gatekeeper is a call center overseas. If you get through, you get someone that can't answer your question. Mine being if my insurance co works with them. Put on hold for 30 minutes. This is my third time renting from this location and will be my last. Every time I rent my experience has been unpleasant. No doubt I will stick to enterprise for a few more dollars. Service is bad. Staff always look like they are forced to be at work. And the cars are not new models. They don't offer pick up/ drop off service. If you pick up at 8 expect to be out with a car at 8:30 and if you drop off they won't open the door until 8 on the dot. So, overall I will be spend a few more dollars for friendly service and newer and more confortable car in my next rental ( in a few weeks). read more

This is the 2nd time we rented a car. This time is the worst experience in our lives. My husband picked up the car (October 6-8,2023) its suppose to be CR-v, but they gave us Ford Edge.We arrived at Vegas,It is okay from friday and Saturday, and then when we checked out on Sunday, my husband turned on the car, so the car was cooler while we loaded our things , my husband left the key inside and suddenly the car locks with AC on and key inside the car. We called the road assistance and asked our location, plate number, and color of the car , and then they unlocked it via online. I even told my friend this is Scarry. Then we went to church to attend 1 hr mass, and then ate at buffet. Then, after my daughter, she missed her small bag, and then I noticed my big tote was gone. Also, I freaked out bcoz a lot of valuable items are in that bag., the car is intact, no signs of breaking in. We went to the buffet (Imperial sushi buffet) to check CCtv, but they only have inside the restaurant, then we went back to church (GUardian Angel Cathedral) it was close and we decided to report to Police. And we decided to head back home. When we got home, the car is not locking, and then we called again, and then they were able to lock the car again. Please make sure that if you rent a car, make them sure the car is not malfunctioning. Our fault is we left or languages and other bags ,but we're heading home, and we assumed that if any breaking the car would be alarming, but no alarm and they took are stuffed very smoothly. The staff is nice but they are not gonna help you, they don't care if the car is safe to use. read more

I wish I could give half a star, Nothing against Brandon he was amazing, very professional needs a promotion. My car wasn't available due to someone not getting the released after being serviced. They told me to go to another location to get the car but unable to get the same rate so I just wanted to cancel at this point. But the number the lady gave me didn't even work making me drive back to this location. My only option was to get a car or a refund, I scheduled my reservation a month prior for a Tesla and all they could offer was a small SUV not even worth what I paid for. Icing on the cake my refund will take 7-10 business days. Never going back to Hertz. Customer service from Angela wasn't the best lack of responsibility after she called me the day before to confirm my reservation and trying to throw the blame on others. read more

They had my car but i've seen people got turned down because they don't have any car on site even tho they have the confirmation from the booking website. When they were cleaning the car, they locked the key inside and they had to call the towing company. It ended up making me wait another 60-90 mins. I am only giving a one star because I feel they attempt to give me good customer service upon returning the car. Which they still failed at since, they only gave me a $50 voucher for another rental, especially, since that would barely cover a single day of rental fee. I rented my car for two days, and acted like it was an amazing thing that they were doing for me. I had order a Volkswagen Jetta that got 31 miles per gallon on freeway, but instead I got a Dodge Charger that gets 19 miles per gallon on the freeway, I mean really, I rented an Airbnb cuz I was trying to save money, and I end up spending more on gas. I am so incredibly disappointed with this company. I honestly hate becoming a super bitch, but no one ever takes me seriously when I am nice about bad service. The day I was supposed to get the car, they were supposed to pick me up from my house. They didn't even know that I was being picked up, and the guy said oh ya that happens sometimes, but we can pick you up still. What kind of company is this? Really truly, I punched in my address in advance online like a month before. After waiting I finally had to call the actually store, since the company was "closed", and ask if they were coming, they guy didn't have a clue! I was late leaving on my trip, not just because they picked me up late from my home, and had to wait in addition to actually get the car, but I also had to fill the gas tank in California where the gas is more, than in Vegas. I've rented cars before and its always been full. They had it at a quarter of a tank, I spent $50.00 to fill it. And the guy was like, oh just bring it back at a quarter of a tank, and we won't charge you. I was already late, so what was I supposed to do? I took the car and filled it. And they gave me an unsafe car on top of that, it was making a thumping noise on and off the whole way to Vegas. The experience was horrible, they tried to fix it, but did very little, the guy wasnt rude, but said I'd get a voucher for initial charges, but it said $18.91, and instead of a credit I get charged an $34 on my card, not $18.91 like the receipt sai. This company doesn't know what they are doing. I almost don't to use the voucher and lose $50. But I had to put gas THREE (3) TIMES FOR A TRIP TO VEGAS!! AND THATS ALL THEY COULD DO FOR ME?! And they dont take into account that I was late because they made me late on my trip. After I use my voucher I am NEVER renting from them again! Ever! read more

I have used this location multiple times and usually had no problem with the regular employees, but today the manager was just downright rude. I was coming in to return my vehicle and when I arrived there was no greeting which was fine due to the fact that he was busy with a customer. After waiting for him to finish another employee came to start helping out with other customers, the maNager then decided to have that employee help some customers that came after me and when he finished with his customer he decided to help another customer that came after me as well without acknowledging my existence in the store. At this point I've been. At the store for 30min and had enough I asked the manager if he had a return drop off so that I can justt leave the car and go and finally he had acknowledged that I was there and took my keys. I have nothing negative to say about the regular employees cause they've been cool every time I go there but how did this manager become one with his lack of customer service and store awareness. read more

Would not recommend coming here! It was the only negative spot in what otherwise was a great vacation. We have been here before and always been satisfied with the service and cars we have gotten from them. Wow have things have changed!. It all started when me and my family came in to pick up our rental car. I gave the person behind the counter my name, an african-american gentleman, and he quickly stated that I had had a 9 am appointment. I told him that I had called and changed to a later time. From then on he seemed just annoyed by us. He wasn't outright rude, but seemed "bothered" by any questions that we asked or by the fact that he had to help us out and it wasn't like the place was swamped--we were the only customers at the time. It was all very off putting to me and my family. When he took us out to the car he simply handed my husband the keys and said "there you go" and walked away. In the past we were at the very least asked if we had any questions about the car or were given a quick run thru. Me and my husband were just left staring at each other. As someone else posted, they don't make any money on rental referrals from dealerships maybe that is the case with referrals from travel agencies? But that is no excuse for the lack of customer service. If you don't want to treat everyone with respect and kindness, then you really should have gotten another type of job. The entire transaction left us with a bad taste in our mouths. Extremely disappointed in this Hertz. Although this is the most convenient location for us, next time we will be doing business elsewhere. And I will share my feelings with my travel agency as well. Corporate should do a better job training its employees in the customer service aspect of their jobs. When we returned the car, a different person took care of us, An older gentleman with an accent. He was very nice and respectful to us and to everyone else there. He had a full house at the time. I wish he had taken care of us when we first came in. I came here to pick up a rental on Wednesday early evening because Sierra Honda had to keep my car overnight and I needed to have some kind of transportation means to get me to work. When I first arrived, I was waiting a long time to get helped. The manager just looked at me and said that I will get helped in just a moment and then just walked away. This other employee who was at the counter was busy answering phone calls and so he didn't help us out until much later. I don't understand why the manager or a 3rd employee could help me out, especially since there are 2 computers at the counter... Anyways, after I finally got helped by one of the employees, he told me that there were only 2 cars that the dealership was willing to pay for. I had the choice of a 2012 Frontier Nissan or some other diny tiny compact car. I had thought that the dealership would offer me something that is similar to the type of car I drive (an SUV) so he told me I could wait til his manager comes back... but I wasn't too wild about doing some more waiting. During this time, a woman came into the place, who came out of a Jetta. I asked the employee if I could rent that car. He said he can take care of her first and then let me know. Well after he took care of her (which took a long time) he told me he couldn't let me rent that car because he said he didn't know if his manager was saving that for someone... ok totally lame. I didn't want to wait even more (by this time, I was probably waiting almost an hour) so I said forget it, I'll take the truck. The reason why I didn't take the truck in the first place was that I didn't think I could drive such a big car, but I did just fine. Anyways, when I returned the car yesterday, it was quick and easy. I got a ride to the dealership to pick up my car right away. The service was pretty crappy upon renting the car, but returning was much easier....so I guess they are slow to give you a car but quick to get it back... I doubt I'd rent a car from Hertz again, especially this location... unless I have problems with my car again and the dealership wants to rent me out another car (this car rental place is the closest to Honda Sierra and so this is the place they will send you to go pick up a car... oh and by the way, insurance is $9 a day and you have the option to prepay gallons of gas from Hertz, but then the trick to that would be how many gallons would you buy? Had a reservation to pick up a car at 7:30 and no one was at the store. We waited, called the corporate office and they told us to wait. Another guy was waiting outside too. Thanks for making us late. It sucks when people cant come to work on time. The attendant did not apologize for his tardiness nor did he offer any upgrades or discounts, when we asked about it he just smirked at us.
