I've been renting from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Duarte for over 12 years, and this was by far my worst experience. I was charged $371 on my Citibank card, then the clerk tried to run my card again for the same amount. The second charge declined, and even after I showed proof on my phone that the first charge went through, she said she didn't remember processing it. I waited over an hour while they tried to fix it. Citibank even confirmed to them that the charge was approved--but they still did nothing and attempted to charge me again. I ended up leaving without a car, had to call an Uber, and arrived 1.5 hours late to Skid Row where I feed the homeless every Wednesday. That delay affected real people who depend on us. After 12 years of loyalty, this level of disorganization and lack of accountability is extremely disappointing. Do better read more

I ordered a minivan online, received a confirmation email, and used their app to check in, which required my credit card number. On the morning of the reservation, I received a telephone call letting me know they did not have the minivan. WTF?! Someone else on yelp recently complained about the exact same situation, so Enterprise has a major problem. They connected me with their "customer service" line and the rep escalated it to a district manager. I never received a callback. Fortunately, Hertz had a last-minute cancellation and I was able to get the same minivan $100 cheaper. Needless to say, I will NEVER use Enterprise again. Please do not use your cut & paste answer letting me know how sorry you are and how much you value me as a customer. Save it for someone who believes you. read more

Horrible experience at this location. They allowed me to reserve and pay for a car they didn't have. Why on Earth would a rental car company offer a car that doesn't exist?! The employee that spoke to me on the phone was very rude. She acted bothered and annoyed instead of sympathetic and understanding. She had a bad attitude and kept interrupting and talking over me. She absolutely did not care one bit about the issue I was having and when I told her to just cancel the reservation there was no sorry about that or have a nice day she literally hung up on me. I haven't experienced customer service this bad in a very long time. I didn't get her name but she was there at 2:00 pm on 10/31/25. Went here on a Friday morning for a rental to head to Vegas. Came here at 8 am and it was busy which was to be expected since the holidays were around the corner. Cons: - Did not have the car in my class size (Toyota Corolla) the first day. Got "upgraded" to a Monstrous RAM 1500 Classic 4 door truck (used a LOTS of gas). We needed an suv to go up north about 400 miles. We got to Enterprise at our appointment time at 9, and Julio was there ready to help us. We were in and out in about 10 minutes. No hassle, no BS. They told me that a standard sized rental would be a VW Jetta "or similar". First let me tell you that there was not a single VW on the lot. The whole lot, with the exception of the SUVs and trucks were Hyundais. I ended up with a Hyundai Sonata as my " or similar". Folks, they are NOT SIMILAR. Especially not for $50/day. The 2 star rating is a reflection on the lack of customer service for the return. I waited, without being acknowledged, for over 20 minutes! I even asked if I could just return the car (which in the end took about 2 minutes) and was told they would get to me when they had a chance. There were 2 employees at the counter, someone coming in and out of an office and someone sitting at a desk, playing on their cell phone. read more

I regularly rent from this location at least once a month. I've tried the Colorado/Pasadena location, the Longo location, and Arcadia location, but I like this one the best. Location is convenient for me, parking is never an issue, and the process is quick and easy. And the people are more outgoing. There have been some personnel turnover, but I think that's all due to the Enterprise training and development. The staff are friendly. Don't be afraid to ask the staff anything, they are knowledgeable and if they do t know the answer they will look it up. They have always been quick to give me a ride or drop me off. I took my car in to Caliber Collision in Duarte for service and they called this enterprise because it was the closest to them. I called this enterprise ahead of time to check to see if they have certain cars available because I knew what day I will be coming. They told me they would only know the day of on what cars they had available. Ted picked me up at Caliber Collision . Super nice guy. They didn't have what I wanted so they rented me a car size up for the same price. Ted was knowledgeable with what he was doing. He patiently went over the car and contract with me, and answered all the questions I had. Back in the day, they had to print out the paperwork for me to sign and keep, but now it's conveniently signed on a tablet and sent to my email. I returned the car and David gave me a ride back to Caliber Collision . I asked him any remaining questions and I was all set. Both visits were quick. This spot has a small lot, but I was able to easily find parking. I will be coming back here again if I ever need to rent a car. Staff were nice and greeted you at the door. Great that this location is open on Saturdays. It worked out because I work on the weekdays. read more

Last Wednesday I returned a rental car and during the walk around inspection, the guy reaches down and pops the front bumper out! I heard it snap and I couldn't believe what he just did! He starts accusing me of damaging the car, is repeatedly asking for my insurance that he already had on file.. Told me I couldn't leave even after he spoke to my husband and charged us our deductible!! Made me late to pick up my other car! There is no visual damage to the car except the lifted bumper... no dents, no scratches etc. I reported it to corporate Enterprise who escalated it to Risk Management and to my insurance. Duarte Sheriff's Department wouldn't take a report because I had already left... I've read the reviews for this location and others have had similar issues and had to fight as well.. They always go beyond the call of duty to help you, including Saturday, January 21, 2023 . I've been coming to this branch in Monrovia for 2 years. There's a few new faces but the service is fabulous as ever. I'm so thrilled to have been personally taken care of by the new Branch Manager, Athziri Soto, and Kendra. They are amazing and so personable. Extremely professional, but have a comforting way about them that make you believe they really care. I was a mess when I came in to rent the car. I was renting it to go to a Memorial Celebration of Life that day, for one of my dearest friends for over 30 years, who just died. I kept dropping everything out of my wallet, my hands were shaking and I just wanted to cry. Kendra was so kind and caring. This car rental location is really bad for customer service. Specially the guy that says he is the manager I rented a car for drop off here I picked it up at LAX on New Years right pass midnight it has a very minor chip in the windshield he charged me $50 although I picked it up that way. The location when I picked it up did not note on the contract that there was no damage he label it as preventive maintenance. The location of pick up had also put they gave me a GPS but did not at this point I am not sure which location is worse when I called LAX to tell them I was being charged for a chip on the windshield she said the only one that can help you is the manager there, when I told him what they had said he said laughing they didn't want to help you or they could have. I saw some negative reviews for this location, so I was reluctant to give them my business. Turns out, they did a great job. You just need to be patient (they could probably use another half dozen workers). Richard and the guys worked hard to make it a good experience all around. Got the vehicle I had reserved, so I was pleased with that. Pickup/drop-off service is a big plus (without that, I'd go elsewhere).
