Customer service and still taking money after being denied rental and having customer service, lied to me two separate times about why the money was taken when my card was never inserted into a machine. now I have the same card on my Hertz profile. I've rented at the airport three times with this exact same card since February never an issue. It actually has a line of credit on it, but they told me when I went this time that they couldnt accept. Because I didn't have any plane tickets. The first three times I rented didn't have any plane tickets either. I ended up going down to the Hertz on South Willow and after going on their website to confirm that I could use this card website said nothing about not being able to use it Went down there and was told because it's the same day rental that I couldn't use this card again card is the same card on my Hertz profile that was saved as a credit card. I was told they were unable to charge these cards and couldn't use them, but they'd have to cancel my reservation. OK no problem that was on the fourth Around 8 PM on the sixth. A charge shows up as a pending charge for the exact price of my rental, which is 2 1/2 days later I immediately contacted customer service. They told me that it was just an authorization hold for the rental, which made no sense cause I never inserted my card to any machine. She asked me was it the same card on my profile and they were getting ready to charge it but then as soon as I pulled it out, she told me they couldn't accept it so my card was never inserted so how did they take money off of a card that they claim they can't accept and that they can't charge when I never inserted my card into a machine yet somehow they went onto my Hertz profile where this credit card is saved in charge the rental customer service told me it would just drop off course the next day it went from a pending to an actual charge. I contacted customer service again was told again it was just an authorization hold and I said well, even if that's true I never inserted my card and authorized any charges so how did you take money off the card that I never inserted into your machine for a rental because your rental agent would not rent to me and they now opened up some sort of investigation meanwhile, my money is still gone. I've rented at the airport to dollar thrifty budget and always use their rental booth but this time when I went, I was told it all went through Hertz and I had to go see them at the airport. I also like I said, went to the S. Willow St. location. The employees are completely untrained and completely. Shouldn't be taking money from people if they're denying their rentals I ended up going down to enterprise giving enterprise $1500 and getting a rental with the exact same credit card. I am still in the process of fighting with her trying to get my money back. I will never go there again after talking to a friend I was told the exact same thing happened to him and he never got his money back and he was never able to pick up the car so they are literally just stealing from people and looking for any reason to deny so they can take money for now I have told everybody I know not to use them and if my money is not returned in the five days, they told me it would take to do the investigation I'm filing a claim with a Better Business Bureau and fraudulent charges with my bank. I booked a rental from hertz(dollar rental) through Priceline 1st time) apparently their all under hertz now! But nothing said I needed a credit card I was trying 2 save a lil money so tried somewhere new. I drove an hr from home got there and if I didn't have a major credit I needed approval with a credit score over 700! Which is ridiculous! But I waisted more time and money then after she told me I said ya it's not that high she started talking 2 another worker like I wasn't even there about other stuff I grabbed my stuff n left the rides rental company I think I've ever had contact with read more

Horrible rental experience. Avoid at all costs. Initially I booked a Tesla and was informed they have sold half their fleet so I would need to pick a different car, this happens all the time! Ok no problem not a big deal. In addition nowhere to park your car at the facility and was told to park my car down a random side road, not good practice. Lastly I returned the car 2 days early and was told I would be reimbursed for those charges only to be charged the full amount. I called customer services and they said no partial refund could be given. Horrible experience from start to finish I will never use Hertz again. read more

This place is a joke, horrible service by the so called manager, SM. I called right after my reservation was made online, told them I would be there before they closed and asked if my license and a credit or debit card was ok? I was told yes. We get there, they deny my credit and debit card telling me I have to schedule 24 hours in advance! After I just told them earlier I was headed that way and it was about a three hour drive. Finally after her rude snappy tangent was over, not wanting to show me the policy of what she was stating. My father comes in trying to fix things and offering to pay with his money, she refused and got snappy and rude with him. The lot was full, now I know why!!! No one likes going there! Instead of trying to accommodate with the full lot of cars, she chuckled at our misfortune (created by her) and left us to travel 3 hours back home with nothing. The little poster on the window in that office was the supposed policy she pointed me too which stated absolutely nothing she was saying to me. I will be writing more reviews and calling the BBB. Some of these next reviews will have her name, pic, and her policy poster. Good luck Sue, trying to drag that business up out of the gutter right where you put it! People need to read these reviews, there is a ton of unhappy people, well, all except for the family members she begged, so they would leave positive ones for her. I would not even give them one star if it allowed less! I had a reservation for April 27th at 9 am. I get a phone call while I am driving there, at 8:40 to tell me they have no rental but 5 passengers. Well I reserved 7 or more passenger suv. He said he knew since the day before and was looking all afternoon which great but I was left with 20 min to figure out what to do since at 10 am I was to start picking up 6 teenage girls to head to North Conway for my daughters birthday. The guy was completely rude acting like he did me a favor by looking since the day before well that's great but a 20 minute notice is shitty customer service. I will never deal with Hertz for anything in the future. Enterprise it is!!!!!! read more

Amazing staff and customer service. I rented a mid-size car and because of my gold membership, the staff treated me with value and upgraded my car to a full-size with leather seats. Renting off-airport is at least $100-$200 cheaper. We saved $200 by taking an uber ($13) ride to the Willow location. The car was clean, fairly new with all sorts of tech gadgets and it ran really well with gas saving technology. It was important that we have a nice car because we were spending a lot of time in it traveling the entire two weeks. Arriving in Manchester, try this option and use Uber or Lift...you won't be disappointed. read more

We had a easy time getting to the Hertz from the airport via Uber and Emily was very helpful and quick getting us processed and out. She also had all kinds of answers to our questions and was charming. On returning with the car a week later James got us in and ready to go fast but and when he heard we were going to Uber he took us to the airport on his lunch break free and refused even a tip! We even had pleasant conversation on the way! read more

Literally the WORST Hertz experience I have had in over 20 years of being a Hertz gold member. Seriously, look elsewhere for your rental. Like other reviewers here... I was very disappointed in the staff at Hertz @ MHT. The car itself was great (when we finally got one). I booked a rental 5 months prior to my trip. When I arrived, they could not find the car. After some hunting, they found a different car that met my needs. A process that should take under 10 minutes, took well over an hour. About 30 minutes of which was spent waiting for the staff to stop playing games on their phones to actually go get the car and bring it to the pick-up location. No, I'm not kidding. The staff in the booth out in the parking lot (the indoor office is closed / probably due to staffing?) are RUDE and do not give a crap about customers. When I inquired about the car after waiting half an hour with no information or updates ... the staff said "Well... I guess we are having a bad day" in response. Another staff member out in the lot, said "Yeah... Nice Try. I've been working here 15 years and people like you are always trying to take cars that aren't theirs" when I asked if a Toyota that pulled up earlier was our rental (we also had a Toyota in the same color reserved). HUGE line of customers, ALL of them having issues. Try another rental company, you'll be much better off! read more

The rental price was increased by $15 / day for the car that we reserved (Cadillac XTS) because it was upgraded to a higher level by Hertz without us being notified of it . Hertz should honor our original agreement of the reservation that was made several months prior. Hertz agent ( 8 am 4/20/19) at the counter was not helpful and told us to go elsewhere. We call hertz customer service line , and the agent said that it is not Hertz policy to send out an email of notification to customer if there's any changes made by them in regards to car reclassification that will result in higher rate. Excellent customer service a good solid car and a great price... I made the reservations the morning I flew in thinking I was making reservations to pick up the car at the airport unfortunately that was not the case... I took a cab to South Willow picked up my car and saved $200 versus the price at the airport Hertz... The day prior to my return trip Sue made all of the arrangements for me to be able to drop the car off at the airport instead of having to go to South willow and take another cab back... She even scrounged around to find a dollar for the toll as I had no cash on me... I recommend this location/store and will definitely use them again read more

My rental smells like dog poop and covered in dog hair couldn't see out of the windows either. If you have cars like this send them out for a full recondition please some people are allergic to dog hair and such. read more

Hertz is awesome - this location's manager however "needs additional training" - rent from hertz somewhere else.

March 15 - Placed another hold of $200 on my account. They've had the car back for 3 weeks now. I talked to Hertz last Thursday and they assured me that this was all set and they would release the hold on Friday, March 12. read more

Horrendous customer service... explained in detail the dings, dents the car had, but not the insurance policy. Took advantage of a bad situation - oversold us extra policies the day after a bad car accident for 10 days and took additional $ for life of car loan (30 days) would not refund money. Total shysters... do not go there!!!! read more
