The office was really busy with a lot of people picking up cars at the same time (after Memorial Day weekend). Stacy remained professional the entire time. Booked a car on-line with Milford as the pick-up location. They didn't have any cars to rent. Rather than trying to be helpful, the agent was rude and made excuses rather than trying to help us. We went less than a half mile down the road and rented a vehicle with Enterprise. On our way back home, we saw the Hertz agent walking down the street. She closed 45 minutes early. Worst customer service I've ever had with a car rental company. I have been to other Hertz locations but this specific one is HORRIBLE to say the least. Worse manager I've ever seen. She was incredibly negative ever since I walked in. She didn't even bother to look for the car I rented. She wouldn't help and she wouldn't even make a single effort. I was charged twice - over $800 for a rental they estimated to be $400. I have emailed 3 timer and called several times with little to no response. I am writing this review in hopes they will finally get back to me and give me my money back that they wrongfully charged me. Unfortunately, I couldn't give less than a 1 star review for the way I was treated as a customer. Rebecca Payne was very rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. I booked and prepaid for a one week car rental, five days prior to my already paid for trip to New Hampshire. Upon arrival, an employee was retrieving the keys for the Tesla Model Y rental when Rebecca Payne said to the employee that the keys were not for me and that they didn't have a car even though there were three Tesla model Y's in the parking lot. When I explained to Rebecca that this rental was prepaid and under penalty, she told me to figure it out myself. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she refused to give me their name and told me that she was not allowing me to speak to them. She told me to leave the premises as I was calling customer services to figure out a replacement or refund in the building as it was hot and humid outside and she then preceeded to call the police on me and have me escorted off the property. This was a terrible and costly experience and I will not be returning or recommending Hertz in the future. I happen to be of the Latino decent and feel as though I was being discriminated against as the other customers in the building were white and not being treated poorly as I was. I don't know who would want to plan a trip with a Hertz rental when there's no garentee that you will have a car and risk losing time off from work or having to pay to cancel your trip. read more

Worst car rental experience ever. Office was filthy--empty pizza boxes, dirty carpet, unkempt. Car was dirty, smelled like smoke. Also rented a commercial van which was disgustingly dirty. Hertz staff did not appear to care about the dirty state of their vehicles. There are other rental car options in Milford--do yourself a favor and go there instead. read more

Rental was clean and everything seemed fine until I turned the car in. Have had to call twice to have false late charges sorted out to the tune of $650 dollars gone from my account randomly on a Sunday morning. Cherry on top I got a toll bill today for tolls which is interesting because I never took their rental on the highway. Someone here or all of them clearly don't know what they're doing or simply just don't care. If I had that job suppose I wouldn't care either. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY 29 YEARS OF LIFE. Rented a car from there after an accident I had, the customer rep, Rodney, was misleading and they ended up charging me for a month's worth of additional insurance on the rental when I had agreed to paying one week. At the time when I rented the car I didn't know how long I'd have it for so I agreed to one week of this additional insurance and was told that would be fine and that if I wanted to put it back on just to call. Two weeks after returning the car I receive a call from Nitza at Hertz stating that I owed $350. After speaking with both her and the original rep about where this was coming from I was met with a big OH WELL, SUCKS FOR YOU. I decided to ask to speak to a manager because the passive aggressive attitude I was getting from these employees was absolutely mind-numbing. TWO WEEKS go by with NO RETURN PHONE CALL. (I had left the country for one week or I would've checked in sooner.) After my 4TH ATTEMPT of connecting with the manager, I realized I had to ambush him at his store. I met with Basilio, the store manager. He was a nice enough man though never acknowledged why he hadn't return my calls but anyway, he calmly kept telling me that if I had called to cancel the insurance they would have gladly taken it off. This of course is a mute point because this was never communicated to me, actually the contrary was. After repeating myself- what felt- about 30 times I realized I just wasn't being heard/understood. Finally he told me there was nothing he could do. He told me there was no one above him that I could speak with. I felt like I was in a twilight zone. So I called customer service in hopes there would be someone who would validate my experience and help me out but then was told they (Hertz Corp Customer Service) couldn't do anything and defer me to a customer relations email. I NEVER HEARD BACK from Hertz after I sent the email. It has been two months now. I gave them plenty of opportunity to redeem themselves before I took to this platform but it is clear now that they have no interest in resolving this matter. This is a STORE AND COMPANY that lacks customer service/support and VALUE THE $$$ OVER CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND RELATIONS. They chose $250 (I planned on paying the 100 I agreed to) over a customer and their reputation. BEWARE. read more

Rent a van at the end or the day and given a dirty outside and inside car. I was told that I can take it to car wash and they pay for it. last time I checked I am not working for Hertz. the only cleaning done was the carpets there was mod stain on the window level of car and hand prints all over the windows. never going to deal with hertz anymore. read more

Horrible, horrendous. You can rent a vehicle on their website, get there,and be told they don't have any vehicles available. They just send you on your way with nothing. Hertz really does hurt. This company overcharged me $187 on my recent vacation and Hertz is refusing to reimburse me the money that they owe me. Customer service wants nothing to do with it and I'm basically taking a loss on the $187. Don't worry they made the effort to charge my credit card $50 and change for tolls that I went through instead of using the $187 dollars that they owe me. Absolute worst rental car agency there is. I got rearend by another driver medfield police officera whitness accident. There fault. They did my car as a total loss sent me a check. However when it came to a rental they could only do 2 weerk max. I had no collision insurance only enough insurance to be on the road. The manager here at hertz milford mass peter lied to me. He said he will make sure the other insurance is billed $24.99 per day and not me. Found out peter is a liar. He charged me per day at a total of $584.19 and my job income is retail. So hes trying to stick to a hard working person just barely making enough money to pay my bills and peter further lies telling other insurance that i agreed to it. When i did not im poor i could not afford that. So hertz likes to take money from poor people. So i called there corporate office told them how peter lied. They said they would get back to me. Dont rent a car from hertz. Stay away. Hertz likes sticking it to a hard working handicapped person. I use a walker to get around. read more

Worst customer service ever. Our plane was delayed and we were late to pick up our rental. The woman working there was extremely rude and told us that we no longer had a car. She had three reservations and two cars available. We paid for the reservation on full over two weeks about ($520 cost) and now we were stranded with out a car and stuck calling Hertz for a refund that isn't guaranteed. She dismissed us completely and just told us to get a refund that that's it. We ended up going down the street to Enterprise which had lots of cars and wonderful customer service. We will no longer be using Hertz especially the Milford location. read more

Ask for Dave, he is the guy who changed my perception about hertz customer service representative. He is so accommodating and easy to work with. He does understand the need of customer and does what it takes to provide them. I really appreciate Dave for his help with my rental and would go back to this location for future rentals. read more
