When I initially called, Cesar wasn't sure they had anything available, and after hearing our story, couldn't believe it, and said there may be one van left. He wasn't even in the office at the time, but when he confirmed that there was a van left, he went into the office to meet us. When i tell you that this man saved our vacation I am not lying, he also saved us money too, the other place was almost double what Bargain Rent A Car charges. We can not thank him enough, and if we ever need a rental again, we will be calling Bargain Rent A Car.

The wheel snapped right off the studs while we were driving due to "being overtorqued by one of the techs" - their own words. They sent a mechanic out to "fix" the trailer... 80 miles down the road the SAME wheel snapped off AGAIN. We sat on the shoulder of a major highway for 5 HOURS because the agent told us we could not leave the trailer to move to a safe spot or we would be liable for all damages, what type of business is that? Risking customers safety? Awful. If you care about you and your family's safety, stay away. After speaking to over 15 agents and being told we would get a refund after drop off.. of course, you guessed it we get a different story. Every rep had something different to say.

First, myself and my two helpers showed up promptly at opening time to pick up the 16 foot box truck I rented days prior, and the only two vehicles in the parking lot were two 12 foot trucks. MAJOR MAJOR inconvenience--why make a reservation if the item you're reserving won't be available anyway? Second, after going through a lengthy and emotion-filled process to get to the point we could take the seriously-inadequate 12-foot truck, myself and my two helpers go out to the truck only to find the sales associate had given us the keys to the truck with only 2 seats, as opposed to the other truck which had 3 seats, when he had clearly just seen there were 3 of us in for the rental. When we approached him to ask for the keys to the other truck he gave a lot of attitude about how a truck with three seats isn't guaranteed and the truck with three seats doesn't have any gas. Meanwhile, on top of this, the associate is "assisting" a customer who appears to be hearing-impaired as they are writing on a piece of paper to communicate. The associate then begins taking his frustration out verbally and starts shouting at the other customer who continues to express that he is unable to speak with him or understand what he is saying. Totally unacceptable. The final outcome was that we had to wait over an hour to take a much smaller truck than the truck we had reserved in advance and with a much higher blood pressure than we had arrived with.

There was no inspection and then they submitted a claim months later for significant damage that was not there when I returned the vehicle. They make up damage to get a car insurance payout from the customer. It was the WORST experience ever! Next time I will make sure to take my own pictures when I return any vehicle. You live and you learn. DO NOT rent from this place! you will regret it!

When we returned our vehicle (about 6 hours before scheduled return time), an employee didn't even ask who we were or what we were returning. She TOLD me I was returning an Uber type rental and I could just give them the key and leave. She offered no receipt. When I told her it wasn't an Uber type rental, she asked what I was returning. I told her and she found our account. She then said we owed $1,930.00. I told her that couldn't be as we prepaid the car (22 days) & insurance (22 days). The manager came over and corrected the employee. She told us we were all set. But, I asked for a receipt. She said I would get an email. My husband asked for her to do a final walk around the car to make sure it was returned the same way we took it. She walked out with us, I went to get in our own car and my husband stayed with her. She drives the car around back and left my husband there waiting...never came back. I told him to get the manager. He did and she gave him some type of receipt. He didn't look at it closely enough. I did when we got home and saw they charged us an extra $817.00! I called them right away and was left on hold. She never came back on the call. Also, when we picked up the vehicle, it was suppose to be ready at 10:00 am. It wasn't. ready until about 11:30/12:00 noon. When the car was finally ready and as we walked around the car, my husband saw a huge gash in the tire. We couldn't trust this to be ok. So, we told the employee and she sent us across the street to Monroe. They were great and changed the tire. However, this made us late by 4 - 5 hours. We had to travel to Maryland and had prepaid a hotel for that evening. Needless to say, we didn't make it in time and missed out on the hotel. I told Hertz about this and they said they'll put in for me to get a credit with corporate. I'm STILL waiting. I will never rent from Hertz again. They're running a poor operation there and it seems like it's a scam. I'm taking further action as they're billing for things like tax on insurance and vehicle licensing fee. Are you kidding me? That's illegal. Do yourself a favor, avoid them like a plague. I will follow up with how this is resolved.

I was called at 7:55am that they had no car for me and my pickup was scheduled for 8am.... I live 25 minutes away and needed to get into the city that day and had to scramble to find a car as this location refused to help or do anything even though I had a confirmed reservation! I called another location in Haverhill and got transferred to the general call center and spoke with a women who was a complete jerk for no reason and told me I was an unintelligent customer who didn't understand the way enterprise operates!!! She spoke over me the whole time and then told me to call back and then hung up! worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never rent with enterprise ever again!
