Stolen car, booked a rental for a mini van, showed up, was upsold to a durango, no problem. When I returned I paid the difference in the rental price. Some time later I got another bill for additional expenses. I tried calling and emailing several times and after 3 weeks of trying, I finally got an email back that I was sent to collections. Called Collections and they don't have it. Not cool. This vehicle came dirty, smelling like weed, I had to have it detailed at the start of my trip, and I had to replace the air filter to get rid of the smell, spent over $90 cleaning it up. I need to be very clear. This one star is not for Hertz in general, it is for this particular location. I have never used Hertz before this and I may not again. After an auto accident my wife picked up a rental from here. All seemed good until we brought the car back for a drop off. When we got the car they told us insurance would pay for 20 days. When we dropped the car off they said insurance changed their minds without telling us and would only pay for 12 days. Seems strange that no one would tell us but whatever, mistakes are made. The reason for one star is because this place over charged us. They charged us for more days than we had the car. They admitted they did and would not refund us saying it was company policy to do so. I called corporate and they seemed to be almost as upset as we were, not understanding that retail locations reasoning for charging us extra days. Corporate promised us a refund of almost $75. We will wait the 5 business days to see if the refund actually comes through. read more

I had a great experience at this location. The car I received was as expected and ready on time. The staff was very polite and everything went as expected. I'm an Army Veteran and I don't usually take the time to review a place, but I don't think it deserves the rating it has on yelp. The staff was respectful and I appreciated that. Wish I could give ZERO STARS. Was in hospital for 2 years. Got out and my wife and I decided to celebrate my health, her birthday and our anniversary with a road trip. Made the mistake of renting a car from Hertz. Got a 3 year old truck with almost 60,000 miles. Got about 200 miles out of Phoenix and the check engine light went on. Their website gave a number to call and said they would take care of any dead problems ASAP. Called the 800 number and got a FOREIGN call center. They said I needed to drive an unsafe car over 100 miles in a half hour to exchange it. Said if the check was not flashing it was safe to drive. I questioned her and she said I could spend the night in a hotel and they would tow it to their office and pick up a replacement first thing in the morning. I kept the truck. Called the office in the morning. They said they did not have a replacement available. I explained the situation. They apologized but could not help. I.called the office I rented from and they said they could not do anything. Bring it back. We ended up limping back. They apologized, promised a full refund and a $250 voucher to make up for ruining our anniversary, my wife's birthday, gas and stress. They did credit our card. No voucher. Now, a month later I got a bill for the rent. Called up their foreign call center who did nothing. I then called the local office and as I type this I have been on hold for over an hour as the untrained staff member tries to find my rental agreement. I gave her the rental agreement number and she still cannot find the information. I also asked her for the district manager phone number. She refused. She also refused to put the manager on the phone EVEN THOUGH HE WAS IN THE OFFICE. NEVER AGAIN RENT FROM HERTZ!!! read more

This Hertz location has the ABSOLUTE worst service. We made a reservation the day before we planned to pick up, and there was no problem reserving it online. Received a confirmation code and everything. We were on our way out the door in the morning to pick up the car when we got a call from Hertz saying there wasn't a car available for us and there wouldn't be for 2.5 hours. They said they would call other Hertz locations and get back to us--which they didn't. We called about 3 times before finally cancelling 2 hours later and going to Enterprise. They had a car ready for us right away, and it was a much nicer car for so much cheaper. Definitely do NOT plan on renting a car from this Hertz location if you are on any sort of a schedule, awful service. read more

When I needed to have some body work done at Rapid Collision, Nate told me about the Hertz rental center right in their office. Sarah was very courteous and was able to quickly get me a car at a great rate (Rapid's discount). When the work on my car was done a day early (Thanks Rapid), I walked in and Sarah took care of me right away and adjusted my final bill. I will recommend Sarah (and this Hertz location) when we have visitors, not just for the next time I crack up my car! read more

Highway robbery. If you want to keep your shirt, run!!Sadly for those out there who are inexperienced with car rentals, bring someone along with you so you aren't taken advantage of. I ended up getting huddled for $383.00. My total bill was $527.00 and that luckily was just me paying 20% while my insurance paid the other 80% (the outlandish numbers are soon to come) the $383.00 went towards an insurance that my own full coverage insurance through State Farm had already been covered for free knowingly when my appointment was made. Even if they didn't know my coverage it was said that I had full coverage. When I returned the rental car the morning my insurance was going to end ( I had until 5pm) I'd hoped to extend the time I had with the car another 7-10 days because I did not have my title yet to receive my total loss check through State Farm, when I asked what it would cost for the max of 10 days, I was quoted $1900.00! Then quoted $1200.00 for 7 days. At this point I completely changed my mind and dropped the rental back off before 5 o'clock when my insurance ended it's coverage for that day. Hertz corporate did not care what was happening at their location at all. The lady I spoke with at Hertz corporate did not care what happened to me. She was very cold about the entire situation. Gouging families during the holidays (or anytime for that matter) because I signed on the dotted line was the only line that came out of her mouth. Again, sadly I should've had a man come with me because women still get taken advantage of in these situations. read more

Came in for a rental that was already scheduled from my local Ford dealership. Came in and had one car available for the three people waiting for rentals. This is the rental company that this very busy Ford dealership uses and they don't have enough vehicle to loan out. Once I finally got my vehicle I received a very small lunch box will wheels after I advised the rental clerk that I have two car seats. The only reason I'm using this company is because it was free from my dealership. read more

Beware renting from any Hertz Car Rental locations. I made a reservation on Saturday 6/22/19 for a car rental to be picked up on 6/25/19. I prepaid to save a few bucks. Next day on 6/23/19 our plans changed and I tried calling this pick up location and they are closed on Sundays. I called the Hertz corporate number after several attempts I finally did talk with a representative. I told her I wanted to cancel the reservation as our plans had changed. She said there was a cancellation fee of $50, I asked why as it was well within their 24hr cancellation policy. She said she would submit a waiver to void the cancellation fee. A few days later I checked my account to find they deducted the $50 cancellation fee from my refund. I called this location on Monday and was told I had to talk with corporate office. After many attempts 6 or 7 times I finally was able to speak with a representative. I explained the other rep was suppose to submit a waiver to void the cancellation fee. She said the system did not show any waiver. So I was lied to by the original rep. This rep offered a $50 coupon for future car rentals and I refused. I would never consider renting another car from such a dishonest company that doesn't abide by their own policies. Be smart and avoid Hertz. read more

Scam and unethical. This location rented us a car through our insurance as a replacement vehicle while our car was being repaired after an accident. They specifically told us to return the car with a full tank of gas, which we did. We were then charged an highly inflated price for "full fuel." We did not agree to any additional "fuel" charge. This is unethical as 1) it was full of gas when returned and 2) we were explicitly told by them to return the car full, which we did. This company is unethical and is trying to rob people by requesting they fill up the car and then turning around to charge them for a full tank of gas at higher than the going rate! It is especially disturbing that they are targeting people that were in a car accident and had arrangements made for them from the insurance company. I guess easy money isn't enough for them, they want dirty and easy money! UPDATE: The 1-800 number is reasonable and probably deals with this all the time. Skip trying to discuss it with the local manager as they obviously don't see the irony in telling people to return it full then charging them a full tank of gas. Contact the 1800 number if you have any issues and SAVE YOUR GAS RECEIPT - with proof, they will refund the charge. I would also advise the following: 1. Take a picture of the gas gage when you pick up 2. Take a picture of the gas gage when you return 3. Save the receipt for the gas you purchase on return 4. Take a picture of the rental agreement and that the box is not checked - I would not be surprised if they check it after you leave (and after they tell you to return it full). Or better yet, go with a rental company that is honest so you don't have to take all of these precautions to keep from being ripped off. read more

The rental was much more than the quote and then even with the overage, they charged $300 more than what we agreed to. We returned the car 10 minutes before it was due back and they were not there. They had a sign that said they were picking up another car and gave instructions for turning the car in. We followed the instructions to a T and they charged us for 2 extra days. When we called to ask about the return of the deposit and why they had stolen $300 extra dollars from my bank we were given the run around on all the extra costs that we had not agreed to. After the second call, they decided that we were correct and told us the money would be returned in 5 to 7 business days. Ten days later we called the Hertz corporation and they said that they approved the refund and that it would be in my bank in 5 to 7 business days from that point on. They also said that we were welcome to go somewhere else if we didn't like the way they did business. When the money was returned it was only $236 so they still ripped us off.
