Literally the poster child for why used car salesmen get a bad reputation. I was told engine noises my husband and I heard didn't exist, damage was not a big deal and didn't affect the value of the car, that banks charged the dealer a fee for setting up the loan so they couldn't go lower on the price or they would lose money. I didn't ask for the information, but they said they just got the car a few days or a week ago, but when you look at the carfax, it shows that they've had it for months. We're a young couple, I'm very visibly pregnant and they still had the nerve to lie about everything. I know about cars (my dad taught me a lot while I watched him rebuilding cars in the garage), but didn't let on because I wanted to see what they would say. We're just starting out in life, can't afford much, have a baby coming, and all they cared about was making money. I get that's it's a business but have some integrity and protect your reputation. How do these people sleep at night!?!? If you do go, assume the opposite of everything they say, but don't say you weren't warned.

Went to John Hennessey on the recommendation of a friend who had bought 5 cars from River View. I wanted a used Lexus. They gave me a loaner used car (one of their few Lexus used autos) to test out for the weekend. Price was more than fair, car was fine -- but too small for me. Just too darn small. But you don' t know till you get in and drive around for a bit. They delivered the car to the BNSF Metra station of my choice, and when I called John H and told him I fell in love with a used Infiniti (almost by accident, just stopping into another dealer to kick the tires--but the heart wants what it wants) they came to get the car where I was - at my sister's, about 1/2 hour from Oswego. This, after I used their car for almost 2 days. And I am almost ashamed to say, the last morning of which I shopped for other cars. If I was a Ford man, I would make a beeline to Riverview Ford. It was a 2017 Ford Focus with only 30K miles. As anyone looking for cars today knows that it is hard to find an older car with low miles. The price was very fair. When we got to store the Sales Manager, Tom Julian, was also very helpful and made the buying experience memorable for my son. He was very cordial and I know we got a very good deal on the car. Over the decades of buying cars, this was by far the best interaction we have had with a dealership. If I had this interaction years ago when buying a car, I think we would have been a long term Ford family. We have been given the run around with the dealership. We have called so many times to get this resolved and have been ignored or the issue has been pawned off on someone else.
