We had purchased a used 2016 Tahoe. After about 45 days of ownership, the transmission started acting up. Unfortunately, we were passed the 30 day guarantee. We are now stuck with a faulty overpriced vehicle. I tried to call and sort something out and was told that they couldn't do anything. We had purchased the GAP insurance. During the refinancing of the vehicle (to lower the interest), we decided to no remove that. We were promised a full refund...... we never received it!!! We have been given the run around with the dealership. We have called so many times to get this resolved and have been ignored or the issue has been pawned off on someone else. Bought new car here. First oil change was free. Car was missing heated seats. They ordered part, I got a call to go in to get it installed. They ordered the wrong part and told me next oil change was free. I asked him to make sure that was in the system. Well, next oil change wasn't free. At this point, cannot trust their word. They are a bit disorganized in terms of their procedures, as they had us running back and forth and made no apologies for doing so. They also had a lack of courtesy vehicles, which made a routine drop off a much longer ordeal. But that is a testament to the number of people who rely on them for their service needs. A dealership is only as strong as it's reputation and this one has a strong one in our community. A few kinks need to be ironed out in terms of customer service, time efficiency for the customers coming in as well as their wait times, but all in all, does well. Kudos to the staff for keeping the beverage selection stocked and plentiful. I just wish they'd had a snack station as I was starving and this place is in the midst of a food desert and with them having our car, I was stuck. read more

We called wanting to pay full price on a vehicle. We were out of state but willing to come and get after being told they do not ship. After speaking to them on the phone we were told we'd get a call once it had been processed and was even available, and that they would hold the car once we gave them a flight number to show we were coming to get it. The next call we received was just to state it had sold. We didn't even have the opportunity to buy because per our last communication it wasn't processed! They even stated they didn't want to sell to anyone who wasn't local so be prepared for discrimination if you do not fit the bill as a local. We literally had the price of the vehicle ready to pay, or could finance through them with excellent credit. They just didn't want to sell to us and lied about trying to work with us even as we bent over backwards to try and jump through their hoops to purchase. We dropped of our Chevy Cruze because the coolant completely drained. We were advised that there was a service notice about from our mechanic. They called to let us know that it was our water pump, but because our water pump went so did our thermostat. They said it was directly related but under the service notice the thermostat wasn't covered. My husband asked if there was a number he could call and the woman said no. So we found the number on our own. We called this nunber and by the end if the day we were notified we would be reimbursed. #1 We were told it was directly related, and no one seemed phased that this should be covered as well. #2 When we asked if there was a number we could call we shouldn't have been told no. read more

I had a wonderful experience here! You'd be hard pressed to find one employee that isn't friendly and accommodating. Danny did a great job finding a car that I loved for a price that I could afford. The Joe's all worked diligently to secure a loan for me and set up a protection plan that I felt matched my needs. Prior to arriving, I made sure I did all my research and they had the exact car I wanted. When we arrived we found the vehicle we wanted and started inspecting it. A big plus for me was the doors being unlocked. We were able to get started without having to track down a sales person. With 4 minutes we were greeted by Robert. After introductions he went and retrieved the keys. We were happy with what we saw, so we took the vehicle for a test drive. So far, so good. We decided we were very interested in the vehicle, so I asked if they could put it on the rack so I can inspect the undercarriage. They accepted and had two mechanics with me pointing out all the good about the vehicle. Having some automotive background, I can tell they were legit and not BSing. Finally, I sat down with Robert and gave him my number that I was willing to pay for the vehicle. We shook hands and he went for the approval of his manager. Within 5 minutes, I was greeted by the sales manager; he informed me they accepted my offer and will begin drafting up the paperwork. Within another 5 minutes, we were moved into another office to sign all the appropriate paperwork and arrange payment. Behind the scenes, they were already giving the vehicle another wash and prepping it for delivery. From start to finish, we were only there for roughly 45 minutes and drove away with our new vehicle. Overall, this was the quickest and most pleasant buying experience I've ever had in a dealership. They also seemed to have the most aggressive pricing as well. read more

Absolutely fantastic service I've purchased two vehicles here in the past two years. The service department is as good as can be when it comes to dealerships they get the job done and they explain thoroughly which issues you have in your vehicle. When I did purchase my first vehicle here I brought my used 2015 Chevy sonic it cost me 3000 for a full tuneup and the vehicle had 100,000 miles on it. I have not had any issues since with the Chevy sonic and it is currently at 160k. Obviously I decided to keep my used vehicle instead of trading anything so I wouldn't have much input about the trading service but as for the sales and service and parts they are A++ I wouldn't take my vehicles or my service to any other dealership. Do not go here unless you want to get taken advantage of. This was my first time buying a car and I got scammed and taken advantage of severely. Not only that, they sold me a car with bad brakes, With the amount of money I got scammed for you would think I would at least get a car that has working brakes..they knew the brakes were bad and they had the nerve to tell me it was because the car was sitting all winter but no when I had a mechanic look at the brakes they told me they were so rusted. They also held my paperwork from me that I signed with all my loan information on it until my down payment check went through which I found out was illegal after the fact. I put $4,000 down on a car I was $1000 short buying cash. I thought my down payment went toward the car amount and I made it clear I thought that and nobody corrected me and basically held my paper work from me until it was too late. Yes I was naive but I won't be the last so unless you know a lot about this topic I'd steer clear of this place. Really sad because I thought the people that helped me were nice but now I just see how shady this situation was. Update : they asked me to call to make it right so I did. And al I got was "he's busy, pagers and voicemails" yes I left a message and no I didn't get a call back. It's been a week or more. read more

We were not looking to buy. The salesman wasn't very helpful or personable. We first stopped in a competitor on Saturday - and was ignored. We came to Westphal next and was greeted by Mike W., told him what we wanted to do, and he showed us the cars we were interested in. Our questions were answered and we test drove a Chevy Volt. The decision was made to take 2 Volts. Westphal sales staff visited my office, evaluated the cars, gave us a written offer, and made sure we had two new Chevy Volts by Tuesday afternoon. Again, upon delivery of the cars, we both received another thorough training from Mike. This was by far the best automobile transaction we've had in over 40 years. I truly hate to write a less than positive review .....however buying a new car....or attempting to buy a new car here was a painful experience. That experience was the opposite of when I previously purchased a used car here, which was a pleasant experience. The "Readers Digest" version is I knew exactly what I wanted....I was even willing to order a new car....they tried to pressure me into buying what they had....not what I wanted. They pushed themselves out of a sale...simply order what I want....not push me into something I didn't want and couldn't use. (I needed an SUV so I can tow my toys.....boat, snowmobiles, atv's ..etc.) They were trying to push me into a vehicle that didn't have the tow rating I needed.....which was clearly communicated from the start. I created/downloaded Yelp to warn you guys.These people will tell you anything to make a sale. We bought two cars in one day and I was treated incredibly rudely by the manager Don. Both cars came with defects. He dodged my calls for weeks. When it came to fixing it he only fixed one(which was gm that covered it not the dealer) the other had broken wipers during the snow season which could've been potentially dangerous. I had never been so insulted by a "manager" when I told him I was going to write a review about how badly he was treating me he claimed word for word "now your threatening me so that makes me really not want to help you." I've had a variety of cars from Ron Westphal Chevy. I have never been disappointed. The service department is wonderful when I have an issue. I've never felt sold too or like I needed to do something simply to have it done. The guys that work in the service department are really friendly and helpful. They have a nice waiting area too. As far as service and thorough explanation from my visit to an actual appointment this service team is awesome. I like the waiting area and I even stepped foot into sales floor to look at a car upon entering I was greeted by a man who offered his information about a new car boy he was so helpful. The car was washed both times so well. I wouldn't hesitate coming back. This is my second Chevy now It seems obvious that this car I have is very reliable and it's a vehicle that I would buy again because I like the throttle of a Chevy and how the driver is so comfortable and gets a good feel for the road knowing that I don't question the room to explore the performance of this brand. read more

I went here this morning because they had a great add price. I parked my Chevy Spark and walked the lot looking at cars for over an hour. I then called and was referred to someone named Mike who asked if I was coming by today to look. When I told him I had been there for an hour he said he'd send out a sales person and call me back after he checked what the rebates and specials were. I told him I'd be in the north lot by the Equinox and he said he'd send a sales guy out to open one up. Well I waited and waited and finally gave up the notion that this was a dealership. I googled Chevy and found Gjovik in Sandwich and headed west 15 miles to cheaper taxes a better selection and a fantastic sales person, Chris Griffing who was on the lot and willing to sell. I bought here and so should you. Head west the sales tax is 6.25% and they are willing to come outside to make a sale. read more

Not only did this affect my bank account severely but they had made a deal and broke in the worst way!! The staff @ Ron Westphal are great. Very nice, treated us great even though they were unable to approve us for our 2nd vehicle from them. I don't feel as if much effort given in an attempt to get us out with a new vehicle, but than again our situation was tough to work with. I would recommend going there to purchase your next vehicle. The only reason I gave them 3 stars was due to some issues that arose after our first purchase with them. We purchased a 2007 Trailblazer, within a year, the motor was junk. A valve spring snapped in half and ruined the motor. We called the dealership to see if there was anything they could do assist us, as the warranty expired a month before this happened. Obviously they would not do anything, which was fine, but no amount of suggestions was offered. Just felt very pushed off. Other than that issue, I would definitely recommend checking them out. read more

The car was in and out quickly for an oil change, but it was a weekday. On weekends, the wait for oil changes is hours long. I find that challenging. The fact that the service department won't allow appointments for oil changes is disappointing, especially when we HAVE to get an oil change at the dealer to get the right synthetic oil mix. On a positive note, the sales staff has always been very friendly. The waiting area is clean and comfortable for adults. read more

I took my GM here after noticing a noise coming from the front of the vehicle while accelerating. If felt like a broken motor mount. I have a extended warranty and called ahead to ensure to repair would be cover (it was). The service manager called me later that day and told me I had a leaking front strutt on the passenger side. I explained that I had noticed that but the noise was on the driver's side. I further explained that I had experience with cars and I was sure it was the motor mount and that I can see that the repair is difficult because of the all wheel drive. He said he would ask to tech to have another look. The manager called me back and said, he was sure it was not the motor mount and that the suspension components were not covered under my warrant (naturally). The repair for the passenger side would be $750. Of course, if you are replacing suspension parts you don't do one side, so lets call it what it was a $1500 repair. I ended up replacing the strutts myself which only cost me $500 with GM parts. It needed to be done as it was leaking, so I will give them that - they didn't make something up that didn't need to be done. Sure enough it did not fix the noise. I took the vehicle up to a local shop that has done some work for me on a musclecar project. I told him I wanted him to look at something.... before I could even tell him what the symptoms were he says "hey, you have a broken motor mount.... you can see it right here." He then said, sorry man but those are a pain in .... if you want me to take care of it I will have to schedule some time. I ended going to another gm dealer that took care of the problem under warranty. Ron Westphal service department is a piece of crap. The short of it is Ron Westphal didn't listen to an informed customer (twice), They would rather hit someone up for a high dollar maintenance item instead of fixing a warranty covered repair. Go here if you want to be had. I suggest you find a reputable repair facility. read more

I went in yesterday to check out a car and purchase it. I was instantly asked about looking at another car that was $4,000 more then what I told them I could afford on the phone. I test drove the car, loved it and I was ready to sign papers. Gave them approval to run my credit so I could drive away with the car and they came back to me and said THEY COULD NOT SELL THE CAR TO ME!!! Why, you ask? Because of a recall they have yet to fix. Now, tell me, HOW DID THE SALESMAN NOT KNOW THAT?? I fell like my credit was ran so they could see if I could afford more. I also feel like they violated me by checking my credit (and now that shows on my report so when I go somewhere else to purchase a car, that will now show up) and then I walked out with nothing. I honestly think they knew about the recall. Why can't people be more up front with buyers. Clearly my money will be spent else where. The WORST service we've ever received at any car dealership. After having our vehicle completely serviced prior to a trip, our engine light came on within an hour of leaving the dealership. We made arrangements to bring the car in only to learn that we'd need to pay an additional $50 on our maintenance agreement. To make matters worst, the representative was rude and acted like this was our fault. This scenario was HIGHLY suspect. We will NEVER do business with this company again. Had a very nice experience with the service department. Took my car in for service and Kaela was very polite and professional. They called to tell me what was wrong with the car and that they had to order the part. They allowed me to have a rental so I could still get to work. When picking up my car I greeted by a gentlemen in the service depArtment with a pleasurable customer service attitude. Even the young lady in the cashier office was very nice. Like any dealership they are full service and pricey. But if you are under warranty you feel compelled to frequent them so you stay within your warranty. I went in for something that I thought was routine and it ballooned into a lot more... a lot more that wasn't covered under my warranty. They are pleasant, the facility is clean and comfortable. But you can't get away from feeling you are getting "bushed" for work that you didn't plan or or see coming. For a brand new car under warranty they probably can't be beat and would be a good source. For me with a used car under an extended warranty, I would seek out a certified Chevrolet mechanic with a lower hourly cost who will do comparable work at a significantly lower price...and want to build a customer base and keep you coming back. No one from that dealership called or asked me if I was pleased/satisfied with the service. Kudos to them though for giving me a ride home while I debated a car rental from Enterprise. read more
